I can’t give enough stars to this gem of a place. An easy drive from St. John’s in beautiful and interesting surroundings. Food is homemade and delicious, service s friendly, prices are low. Worth the trip whether you’re visiting the Colony of Avalon or just want a tasty treat.
The tea was wonderful. The fish cakes were the best I have had anywhere. The staff were super friendly. I will visit again.

So glad that Covid-19 restrictions changed enough to allow this wonderful cafe to open. Perfect location to stop for a meal while enjoying the country side on a site seeing trip down the Irish loop. The home cooked meals combined with in house breads was some of the best food I've ever eaten (hopefully my wife doesn't see this review). The food, friendly service and great views made for a fantastic dining experience.
In what appears to be an accessible location, friendly service and ample portions are the order of the day. Visitors may order any type of Tetley tea served in individual blue ceramic pots. Clean washrooms and good anti-COVID practices are in place. Those at window seats are treated to a great view of the bay. Tea room closed at 4:00 pm the day I was there.
