Review The Horizon Restaurant - Fergus

Had to provide proof of double vaxx, which is fine. Came here with my wife and her brother. We were in the area and were hungry. It was kinda cold-ish on Nov 06, 2021. So I had my hoodie covering my head, which I was informed, that they don't like hoods on customers. Other than that service was good. I ordered the grilled chicken sammich plate, wife ordered teriyaki chicken and veggies and my bro n law order the fish n chips (cod). The teriyaki chicken and veggies was so-so, the sauce was really salty and didn't really taste like actual teriyaki sauce. No complains about the fish n chips. The grilled chicken sandwich wasn't really seasoned. The meal was enjoyable for the most part. It's not easy to find places that offer a grilled chicken sammich on whole wheat bread. So likely to come back. Service : 4/5 Food : 3/5 Return visit : likely yes.

Horizon has the ultimate eggs Benedict on sundays. We have been going to this family run restaurant. They are so friendly and always happy. We love the service, food is all homemade and the owners and staff actually care. Can’t say enough about how much we enjoy Horizon, Staff and the feeling of community. Thank you so much

I’ve been coming here for years and always bring friends and family when I do! The meals are always warm, quick and they give generous portions. We always look forward to coming here! 10/10 recommend!

Never tried their food, never will. Arrived at their door to get breakfast on the drive home and noticed a sign stating that anyone wearing a hoodie will be refused service. Guess what I was wearing. Funny how Fergus has a sign asking people to shop local. Well, I tried and this is what I got. Turns out the owners also detest tattoos, facial piercings and elderly people who don't have large appetites.

The staff told my 7 year, old who was cold, to take his hoody off. Restaurant rules I was told. He’s 7, not a gangster. Won’t ever be back.
