Review Cafe Creperie - Elora

Got to indulge in a delicious campagnarde and Scandinavian crêpe from this cute little establishment. The food was delightful and service was prompt and friendly. We went on a Sunday in summer (high volume of tourists), so foot traffic was plentiful but not obtrusive. We look forward to coming here again and trying some other dishes!

Well located, with seating locations both inside and outside (on the sidewalk). The crepe was not good, almost no taste (was supposed to be lemon and white sugar, only the very central part had some taste, the rest tasted more like egg and just plain crepe without anything, not even sugar), considering also that it's not a cheap one. Drinks were nice though.

Nice location, not too expensive. We had lunch here on Sunday, at 11:30 when it was still quiet. (Got busy around noon). Small interior, a bit old fashioned but cute; it is on the river but they do not have an outdoor area. I had a crepe with raspberries, but in addition to dessert crepes, they also make savoury crepes that are more like a meal. My wife had a couple of croissants and I had coffee. The bill with tax was $23. Decent value. They definitely know how to make excellent crepes!

Pleasant creperie but has dated interiors and was overpriced for the quality. We had the chef's special at $15 for a fairly dry and small savory crêpe. Fine for a quick bite and drink. Staff are pleasant enough. There is a view of the gorge from the furthest table inside which was nice.

We went here for lunch on Nov. 7th, excited to try the crepe. Cashier was less than friendly, looks very uncomfortable serving us and almost hesitant to talk to us. She was very dismissive. Not sure if the staff treats everyone like that or only to people of colour. We felt very uneasy. When my husband got his order, his Scandinavian crepe was just a thinly sliced salmon with 2 bits of onion in a crepe, and nothing else. I ordered the Chef’s special, it’s ok but the brie (you can choose other cheese, I chose brie) in the crepe was barely there. For dessert, we had strawberry, banana, and nutella crepe. This one is really good! Overall, hospitality/service needs a lot of work. Their savoury crepe is underwhelming and could’ve been made better if they put more effort. The dessert crepe is their saving grace.

Two people recommended this place to me, so I was curious to give it a try. I had the Chef's Special, my husband had a crepe with steelhead salmon and we shared a dolce de leche crepe (which was actually caramel, not dolce de leche). All were delicious! The environment is casual and has different art pieces from local artisans. I did like every thing, but it's a bit pricey and service was a bit slow (that's why 4 stars instead of 5)
