This restaurant is very good! Savory food, excellent service and lots of full stomachs! If I could give six stars I would give seven stars.
This is the only place I go to Dim Sum anymore, because its convenient. Food is always good, I order shrimp everything. Carts come around quickly, staff is nice.
The food is delicious and the portion size is more than fair. If your looking for great Chinese food this place is a good choice. The only disclaimer is I found the prices too high.
I live 10 minutes away from the Southside location and will STILL drive half an hour to dine at the Northside location. I think that explains my 4.5 rating for itself.
I've never been disappointed by a meal at this location: always fresh, fast, hot and flavorful (all of the qualities that the Southside location lacks in)
I definitely recommend you try the shrimp won ton soup and salt & pepper squid :)
I usually do not go to this place for dim sum (I would say probably once a year). However, the food was tasty and there was nothing I can complain in the taste department. One thing to note is that their portions are average compared to other restaurants.
I wish they offered more variety of dim sum dishes as well. To be honest, I've been seeing the same food cart being walked around the restaurant quite a lot and being asked if we wanted the same dishes. 0.5/1
Service was excellent. Always made sure to top us off with hot water for the tea. 1/1
I really like the inside of the restaurant. It was kept quite clean and the decor was nice. 1/1
Cost on the other hand is a bit pricy compared to other restaurants that serve dim sum. It would make sense if they increased the size/portion to justify the pricing. 0.5/1
I would come back if I have a chance. 0.5/1
I go here often for dim sum and dinner. I love how you can order dim sum during dinner hours. Food is good and portion is average, however I find it a bit expensive compared to other chinese restaurant in chinatown. They have plenty of parking which I like. They do get pretty busy, so get there early for dim sum or for dinner, make a reservation.
Dim Sum better than expected.... We decided to give the place a second chance after a horrible dim sum years ago.
It was better than expected.
Service was as expected, ok at best. the cart ladies were stopping as they passed to bad mouthing the mangier. It was pretty funny.
The room was pretty clean.
The dishes came out hot and fresh and was pretty good for the most part. It was also well priced.
Average dimsum, no wait on a Saturday afternoon.
Ordered the meal for six and it totally enough for maybe more. Best chicken rice I have ever had. The honey garlic chicken was awesome. Will order from there again.
South Side is the better Good Buddy. My ultimate fave is the salt and pepper squid, crispy soy chicken, tofu with shrimp filling, wonton and the amazing hot and sour soup! Yummy!
The service is delux!
Stopped here for lunch on a whim because I wanted wonton soup. Well, I didn't get it. I got something better. Dim sum! Excellent quality, decent prices, and they just keep coming by with the carts to make sure you're happy :-)
Welcome to our Good Buddy Restaurant!
Not bad, but Front of the house does not communicate to back of the house on substitutions. Also got charged for it & did not get sauce with the Ginger beef. Will not be going back. Good buddy yes. Great buddy, No!
Great food. Place is clean and it's fast service. Dont have to drive all the way to chinatown for Chinese food.
Solid Dim Sum Location. I only go to this restautant for Dim Sum so I can't comment on the dinner menu.
Good Buddy has a nice atmosphere, friendly servers, a clean establishment and reasonable prices. The food quality is above average and there's a good variety of Dim Sum options. The Congee is excellent, possibly the best I've tasted. Definitely worth a stop if you live in the area.
Not your fanciest place in town but they have the worlds best mango smoothy and awesome yumyum prawns!

Firm, tasty sumi – beautifully wrapped shrimp dumplings (the white ones…if made wrong, they fall apart after one bite) – fresh sticky rice.
