This location provides BEST quality of service I've ever had in any Basha Donair branches. Sherwin and Gejay are fast and efficient despite of busiest time. staffs are friendly and engaging with customers. Can executes and multi-task well on their job even on busy times. I will definitely recommend this location!
For a donair shop you receive unbelievable personal service. The food is incredible, the toppings are not what you would expect on a donair but trust me. You want all the toppings.
The meat is perfect, the pita is perfect.
It’s my favourite stop on you choose Tuesday (a weekly tradition between my girlfriend and I) I’ll always choose Basha every time!!!!!!
So tasty and sufficient quantities. The fries were perfectly cooked, not soggy or overcooked. The meat is tender and flavorful. Overall, the food was excellent! I would give it a 10/10.
The donair is a standout at Basha, with tender strips of marinated beef or chicken that are roasted on a spit and served in a warm pita bread with your choice of toppings. The meat is succulent and juicy, and the pita is soft and chewy, making for a perfect combination. The sauces and toppings are also top-notch, with a variety of options to suit any taste buds. My personal favorite is the garlic sauce, which is creamy and tangy, and adds a perfect kick to the donair.
Honestly it is probably the best donair in the city. I have tried every other donair shop literally these guys got it right... crispy meat as much sauce as you want and thank me after... also any of the sides are awesome go for the wedges... I come here no lie at least twice a week....
If you're looking for a delicious and satisfying meal, look no further than Basha Donair and Shawarma. This restaurant is a hidden gem, with a menu that is packed full of flavourful and authentic Middle Eastern dishes.
Fantastic shawarma and other stuff I'm sure to cant honestly say iv tried anything other then the beef and chicken donair. They have a pretty big menu and they always seem to be steady busy. Even when they first open they have acouple regulars. Good choice in veggies for toppings and great selection of sodas.
What a pleasant surprise! I had zero expectations heading into Basha Donair & Shawarma; I'd never read or heard of it until searching for nearby donairs to satisfy a late night craving, and this spot popped up as the closest. I walked in ten minutes before closing (yeah, I was THAT guy), while they were already closing shop, so I was fully prepared to receive a dry or stale last-of-the-night type of donair. Boy was I surprised.
Basha uses some of the most flavourful donair beef I've ever had the pleasure of eating. The spicings are right up there with the likes of Swiss Donair, and that's no small feat. They sliced it thinly enough to give it that nice mouth-feel of folded meat, but not so thin that it loses its "bite." Once sliced, the meat is grilled to give it that slight crispiness with each bite. It is clear that the beef is the star of the show in Basha's donairs, and I loved it. The sweet sauce on the other hand, is pretty standard and somewhat overpowered by the beef, which in this case, wasn't even a bad thing. Basha also offers a variety of veggie toppings outside of your standard lettuce, tomato, and onion offerings, including pickled radishes (which if you haven't tried in a donair yet, I would highly recommend). Keeping it all together, was a soft and warm pita that if you've ever had a stale/tough pita, was highly appreciated.
The pricing is pretty standard and in-line with the competition. However, given how much meat you receive, Basha certainly gives you better bang-for-your-buck than most establishments (see cross-section picture).
I am delighted to see south side Edmonton's donair offerings represented well by Basha Donair & Shawarma. Of the nine donair spots I've eaten at in this city, only Swiss Donair bests it (by a hair). With that being said, given that Basha is only 5 minutes away versus 35, I would choose Basha every time.
Great donairs! Sizes for everyone and the way they name them is amusing. Has anyone ever eaten a sasquatch?
Super tasty as always. Best donair in the city.
pretty expensive but still good food, lady was nice too.
