The reviews on the Viet Huong Noodle House are ancient, but we decided to check the place out to see if it had what it takes to be a good Asian restaurant. At least to our standards anyways.
First noticeable concern was a sign near the front door. Cash only. Inconvenient yes, but not a deal breaker.
We split an order of rice cake and a bowl of Satay soup. The rice cake was very good and we enjoyed every bit of it.
The Satay soup was somewhat flavourful and appeared to be of a small to medium size. I would rate it in the not bad range or fair or average. I guess you could say it was similar to what could be found in the many low range Vietnamese restaurants within Edmonton.
I don’t think it would be necessary to come here again.
Great Beef Satay Noodle Soup. Great version of Beef Satay Noodle Soup. Tastes almost like satay beef skewers were made into a broth and served with noodles!
Food was awesome, service was great, portions are big. Best phone in town
New Best Place for Pho. Tau Bay used to be my favourite. But after trying out Viet Huong 2 times, I found that the texture of the noodles and taste of the noodles in their Pho are better.
