the Jumbo donair is massive which is a bonus. Meat is average. Sauce overrated.overall average donair.

The BEST donair I have ever had. I was a big Swiss donair fan having lived two minutes from it all my life but i moved south and now will never go back to anywhere but Simon kings! The donairs are juicy and loaded with meat.
It ain't much to look at that's for sure. Ambience? Early cafeteria. View? Parking lot and 91st street.
Donairs? Some of the best in the city. What stands out to me though is consistency. No matter what time of day the donair is virtually the same. (they get a nice crust outside busy times.) They are all messy at the bottom and tough to eat without making a mess but always, always, always, the same great flavor and fresh ingredients.
Large portion. I went there for a quite lunch a couple of weeks ago, partly based on the review. I ordered a donair combo and the portion of the donair is substantial and tasty.
Simon Rules!. We've been coming to Simon King for many moons and it hasn't changed a bit. We still consider them to be one of the best donairs in Edmonton. We dropped in yesterday for cheese donairs and they did not disappoint. The meat was moist and had a nice spicy taste to it. Cheese, sauce, onions, wrap....everything was perfectly done. Definitely a favourite and they have a large menu of other items if you're not into the donair scene. There are also great coupons on their website to use.....like $17.95 for any size 3-topping pizza. Now that's a deal!
Best Donair in Edmonton. This is the place to go if you want a great donair! The meat is awesome and the staff is really friendly! You will not be disappointed if you have one of their donairs! I highly recommend it!
Awesome burger. Tasty fries. Big portions. Gravy is lacking... but all in all really good.
Simon king is the best,they do there own meat there so it's always fresh not like another stores frozen meat. And it's a very clean place I can go there every day,day 1 sub day 2 pizza day 3 sandwich day 4 burger day5 chicken rap day 6 denier and Sunday I stay at home lol.
Best Donair. The most consistently excellent Donair in town. The kind of Donair you can eat 2 days a week, and salivate on the other 5 thinking about it lol... They do pizza's and burgers as well - pretty good, but it's the Donairs I tell ya...
Great food and service, decent prices, and the guys keep the place really clean, apparently something a number of other restaurants don't realize people like. I'm not afraid to sit down at any time anytime at any table and have stuff rub off the table on my arms/shirt.
PS - try the Spicy Donairs and if you're man enough try the Jumbo Spicy Donair - it'll require a healthy appetite and more than a few napkins.

If your looking for the best donair in Edmonton, start searching right here, it will save you a lot of trouble. I've had donairs in every corner of the city, occasionally I find a new place I like better than Simon King, but in time the other guys always get cheap and lazy and start making horrible food. Simon King has not disappointed me in all the years I've eaten there, the day they do will be the day the donair dies and I become a vegetarian.
No one here has mentioned their pizza. I must say this is some of the best I've had. I call ahead 30 min to pick up, and order ham, pepperoni, and donair meat and they pile on the meat and cheese. Sauce is good, and the crust can be a bit salty, but worth the pick-up every time.
Donair Heaven. Best donairs ever. Staff friendly. Place is clean, but somewhat lacking in ambience. Still my #1 destination for donairs when I'm in town.

Before I moved to Edmonton, I lived in Fort Mac where there is some of the best donairs you'll ever have. When I moved to Edmonton, I searched for good donairs in the big city. After about 5 - 6 mediocre places, I finally found Simon King. What made Simon King different from the others was the delicious meat, it's not the pressed from the mould type that other places buy from some donair meat manufacturing plant. Their meat looks like meat, and the spices and everything is delicious! Next thing is the sweet sauce; sweet sauce has to be thick, so that you don't get that wet sticky greasy mess at the bottom of the bag that you get at other places. The sauce is thick and holds up long enough so you don't have a massive so you don't have a greasy sauce spill of Exxon Valdez proportions. Overall, awesome donairs, friendly people if you go there enough and still my top pick in Edmonton.
I liked it because of the food, not the people. Great food, if you imagine the employees as robots. I've only ordered donairs there and am intimidated to order anything else. Don't get me wrong, the donairs are excellent, but the people there are just rude. If you can get past that, then the place is good.
Donair is excellent. 2 of us ordered a king donair and a donair combo. They are good enough for at least 3 people. Taste good, good serving size, clean place and reasonable price. I will go again when I go to that area.
Best Donairs In southside. My third donair shop in three days in Edmonton, I like the sauce and remember donairs are about the sauce. The atmosphere is dated, the cooks a little pushy but the doniars are massive. I would choose Simon king over Primetime Donair in the southside any day. I must say I wanna try their donair pizza next time.
Best donairs! I've been eating here for about 18 years, and am rarely disapointed. The donair sauce is the best I've found! Give the "King Spicey" a try.

Good Pizza. Donair, Peperoni,and mushroom Pizza. Two thumbs up. This place give lots of topping, I had 4 pieces and I am totally full. Service is very friendly. Will order pizza again for sure.
