Lots of yummy HK snacks. HK mini French toast is a must try, so addicting. Hubby and I both love the meat sauce noodle soup. Iced Lemon Tea is also the best.

Ever since stopping by Brooklyn Tomato I’ve been meaning to try out Tasty Choice. Which brings us to a cold late Friday night food date.
Tasty choice is an alternative to Dream Tea; Offering bubble tea, desserts and “snacks” >basically anything greasy and savory. Comparing the two, Tasty Choice has a very extensive menu, food wise. Offering basic and quick “Asian Fast Food.”
Iced Lemon Tea (HK style) ($3.25) 5/5 but can you even mess this up..
TakoYaki ($7.25) 2/5 Not crispy on the outside, more mushy. Very doughy on the inside; big portion though..
Katsu Don- Teriyaki ($14.99) ⅘ This one was surprisingly very well, and I’m quite excited to know it comes with curry instead of teriyaki as well! The dish came out steamingly fresh, with the pork cutlet crispy crunchy! Really enjoyed the light glaze of sauce on top.
It’s quite a small space, with a ton of knick knacks all around. From stickers all through out the counter to the miscellaneous decorations on the walls and tables. Mismatched chairs, tables and sofas with a TV switching from music videos to dramas; Tasty Choice is by far a very relaxed and casual place to be. Our food adventure for the night hit the spot. I enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and for a friday night, it wasn’t at all busy or packed. Wouldn’t mind coming back if we were in the area and wanting a light quick snack!
Best snack / meal place near south common! I typically come here quite often for their tasty rice bowls and crepes. However, I find their bubble teas very very sweet.
Having been to Tasty Choice many times with friends, I have yet to have a negative experience, with it being consistently good. They serve a wide variety of foods, from crepes to noodle bowls to bubble tea to appetizers. They also have comfortable sofas and chairs to sit in, with some games to play and Hong Kong TV dramas playing in the background. The vibe is similar to Dream Tea but they serve a larger variety of food, and is much more vibrant and spacious since it's slightly out of the way. Service is average, which is nothing special or above the top but yet I have had no negative experiences when eating there. I wouldn't go there to eat a full meal (even though they do sell those), however for a good dessert, bubble tea, or place for snacks, I would definitely recommend Tasty Choice.
Fun place. Kind of a mish mash of HK style goodies like bubble teas, noodles etcetera. Decor is dumpy, but a bit Hello Kittyish. Super popular with the late night Asian student crowd.
Absolute favorite BBT in Edmonton. Been almost everywhere in Edmonton and the bubble tea at Tasty Choice is my favorite. Tried a variety of flavors, mango, jackfruit, barley milk tea, etc. but milk tea is my favorite there. Bubbles are tasty. Food was ok...wouldn't eat there again.
Cute store!. Everything was delicious! and very affordable, glad to know that their open until midnight for summer
Decent but difficult to find!. I found this place unbelievably difficult to find since it is hidden around a corner and Tasty Noodle is literally right across the street. If you miss the turn, you have to double around gateway then go back down calgary trail. The fresh fruit bubble tea was decent albeit expensive at around $6. Would return if I was in the area, but wouldn't go out of my way to go.

Been Looking for a Place Like This. I just moved to Edmonton, and finding a bubble tea house that served authenic plethoras of bubble teas was something I didn't think would happen.
I found this little tiny restaurant/cafe by mistake waiting for Coras to open. When we finally came here, it was everything that I had hoped for. Simple, and cheap starters, and a variety of asian fare including Korean rice bowls, spring rolls, deep fried meatballs, etc. And of course menus upon menus of bubble tea.
Its a fun little place to hang out for a casual snack or for lunch.
Can't wait to go back.
Best bubble tea in edm! Great spot just to hang out and chill with friends, have some yummy hong kong cafe style food, even catch up on some cantonese soap operas! XD

I had the strawberry fruit juice bubble tea. It was perfect. Sweet slushy fresh tasting. I also had the fluffy cream bun. It was AWESOME. I will definitely be back again and again yay!
Get some Air Conditioning.. Me and a friend had gone out for dinner at that poutine place and since neither of us wanted pop we decided to get some bubble tea. We headed over here to do just that before hitting south common for a movie as its close.
The first thing one notices when you enter the place is a strong smell, its that super strong Asian food/store smell that when combined with a hot summer day and NO AC is unpleasant.
I went with the almond bubble tea and asked for less than the normal amount of round ball jell things they put in the bottom as I want a drink and not to constantly be sucking up and chewing pearls or whatever they call them.
The bubble tea is really good and thankfully we got it to go as my god is it unbearable inside there.
Icecream with French toast Condensed milk toast - ahhhh, a simple classic that's always good - nothing more than fresh white toast with butter and condensed milk.
