Food here is really good. No better spot in the area for lunch. The owner and his family truly seem to love what they do. Also, the schnitzel is one of the best in Edmonton and is probably the cheapest.

Absolutely delighted to have found a genuine greasy spoon!
Decor was mismatched and outdated yet clean, menu was simple and laminated, service was outstanding and the food was delicious. I loved the sprinkling of paprika on my eggs!
This diner is tucked back in an industrial area and caters to hard working men and women with no frills, so don't expect a high class dining experience, but do expect great food and a full belly :)
I overheard the patrons next to us gushing over their burgers, so next time we will definitely head over for lunchtime fare.
I would have preferred real butter on my toast, next time I will ask if it is an option.
* they do not have high chairs, but we were told that we were the first to stop in with a baby ... :)

Went here after reading reviews. It doesn't look like much but the food was fantastic at a real decent price.

Fantastic breakfast!. Passing through Edmonton on the Yellowhead Hwy and Urbanspoon turned this place up under 'breakfast'. It took a while to find, but it was worth it: very small unpromising looking little greasy spoon in an industrial area, but the best breakfast I've had in decades: homemade hashbrowns made from real potatoes, fresh bread, stacks of bacon and green onions on the fried eggs, all cooked to order by the owner. Don't know what the rest of the food is like but the man can cook! He's also very friendly.

Affordable... Delicious. I found this place randomly on Google and went there because it was close to my work and other reviewers seemed to like it.

I had a grilled ham & cheese, fries, gravy & a pepsi. The bill? $10.

Now, you may say "well, it was just a grilled cheese, so of course it was cheap". But what you don't realize is that it was three layers of ham and three layers of cheese, grilled to perfection... served with delicious fries. The meal was plated and garnished well and the diner itself was clean and inviting.

I am EXTREMELY impressed by this place, which appears to be run solely by the owner who takes your order, cooks, serves you and accepts your payment. Even though he was doing it all himself, it didn't take a long time to be served or to get my food.

The outside looks rough, as it is in an industrial area and the signage is recycled from the previous business... I think everyone should go there and tip well until the owner can afford a fancy sign! Just do it. You won't be disappointed.

(Also, they ARE open for lunch, despite what this says.)
