Wasis is the only Sri Lankan restaurant in Edmonton that offers value for money. We go there almost every weekend.
Their biriyani is excellent.
Lamprais (Dutch-SriLankan baked rice & curry) is better than in SriLanka
Watalapan (an egg-coconut milk caramelized desert) is authentic, delicious and generous.
Other authentic sweets: kaludodol (another egg-cocnut milk desert), kavum and kokis are for special occasions.
Kirupakaran Pirasath
This place is one of my favourite restaurants. Foods always taste good and the staff are friendly. Never had any issues with wait time, quality of the food, etc. I'd give them 5 star if they can make the environment little cozy.
