My friend and I go there twice a year for our birthdays. The food is awesome! The authentic Chinese cuisine is one of the best in the city. Everyone there is so nice to you. There's a lobster with noodle and cream sauce that you can only get there. Love it!

Excellent service & super yummy chinese food! I found Saiwoo Garden from google search. It got the highest stars and it is true! The chinese food is delicious! The interior is very traditional & interesting. The owner is very friendly! Highly recommended!

Treat yourself.
No, seriously. Treat yourself.
You haven't had a true sense of gourmet Edmontonian Chinese Food (Cantonese/Yue style) until you've been to Sai Woo Gardens. For those who are regulars this is no surprise. For those of you have not spent time in Edmonton's classic Chinatown, this may be your best kept secret. Have the soy sauce steamed fish.

This is a favorite for us in Chinatown. Have been coming here for over 25 years when we used to come here for late night meals. Old school classy interiors with the big round tables. Recently ordered from here and they still have the best salt and pepper fried squid and crispy chicken! Nothing has changed - the food is still consistently excellent. Everything on the menu is very good and the portions are very generous. The owners are kind and friendly. The service is always fast. I forgot to order the peaches and shrimp... will have to get that next time.

Always an authentic Cantonese cuisine experience coming here! I always enjoy the nostalgia of eating the food here - the portions are large and filling.
I'd recommend getting the calamari and the peach shrimp!

WARNING!! Terrible experience, the lobster tasted very bad. We could taste the algae in the fish tank on the lobster, due to the fish tank not being cleaned. When we told our waiter he said because the bill was already prepaid he could not refund us. They offered to give us a discount for next time, but honestly we will never be coming back to this restaurant. I will definitely be following this posting up if we are all to get food poisoning tonight. WARNING Do not eat at this restaurant. They do not care about the quality of food they serve, or their customers health. Stay away.

Great food. Great service. The restaurant can be a little cold when sitting near the door during winter. The hot and sour soup is one of the best in city. The deep fried squid is as well. The clams in black bean sauce are really tasty. They also know how to accommodate gluten free if you know how to ask correctly.

Ordered hot and sour soup and deep fried chicken through Skip the dishes and both dishes, didn't taste fresh at all. The soup is too soury and the chicken meat taste like an old stale meat.
I'm pretty disappointed as I used to like this restaurant.
Now I'll be having second thoughts whether or not, I'll continue patronizing this restaurant.
The place has been renovated, well-lit and with laminate flooring, looks clean. Better dining experience than my last visit 2 years ago.

Ordered special chowmein, crispy chicken and sole with bean curd hot pot.
The special chowmein, I don't recommend it, it's so plain with small shrimps and chicken pieces with bean sprouts, celery and too much onions in it.
The crispy chicken is okay, lacking in marination.
The hot pot is tasty except it's sweet and salty.
On my next visit I'll probably order other dishes other than these ones I ordered.

One of the best places to go in Edmonton and have a real taste of Chinese and Cantonese food, great service, a very familiar atmosphere that makes you feel at home as soon you as you set foot in the restaurant. My family and I has been going there since 2003 and we go at least once a week; is so good you never will get bored with their food !!!
