Tuesday morning breakfast August 29th 2017
ordered the "build your own breakfast" deal for $7.19 + coffee
the initial coffee mug had a lipstick stain (see photo) on it so had to asked to replace it
(must be dishwasher fault based on previous other restaurant experience)
the breakfast was perfectly cooked
over easy style eggs
2 bacon
1 ham
diced cubed hashbrowns
coffee taste good with 2 refills
even offered me a 3rd refill
I would have given this restaurant a higher rating if not for the following major concerns:
1.) lipstick mark I found on the coffee mug when it was initially served and
2.) a concern for cross contamination as the cook wears a dirty stained apron and also handles the cash till
Now I wonder how clean/dirty the kitchen is where my food was prepared
On the other hand observations:

looks like a husband and wife Franchise operation (friendly couple)

free offering of newspaper of the day

The Chinese waitress is wonderful. She actually cares and genuinely took her time with our gluten free order. Was very funny and made for a very pleasant visit. The food was great as well

Clean, pleasant surroundings. Friendly staff. Wide variety of food on the Menu. Soups are quite tasty. Salads are always fresh. Suitable for families, large or small groups. Prices - moderately inexpensive.

Betty and Sam are excellent hosts and cooks. We are greeted by name and they know my order right down to the lightly toasted raisin bread. The Temptation Omelette and the steak menu items are favourites. By far the best Humpty's in town. Great food, great atmosphere and great value. Humpty discount is most welcomed. Happy to recommend.

We went there to eat with a parent and a few kids from the basketball team, the had large booths and reasonably fast service. The door was good and came out exactly as ordered. I made a couple minor changes to my order and they were very helpful.

Not been here for months but they remembered our names and menu favourites. No problem recommending Betty, Sam and Sue and their food and service. Definitely 5 stars all the way.

Service was quick, got food fast. Food was awful! I got the Monte Cristo, it had two tiny pieces of rock hard turkey, one circular slab of ham and ONE slice of cheese?? Hashbrowns were ice cold. Waitress replaced the hashbrowns. Perhaps they could work on the quality of their food rather than the speed. It took 7 minutes after placing our food for it to arrive. I would rather wait a few minutes longer if it means it's actually going to be enjoyable.
