Review Second Cup Coffee Co. - Edmonton

Always clean...restrooms too. In my experience, the staff has always been courteous and prompt. All drinks are made to satisfaction. Free Wifi available. Downtown location means it can get busy at times.

The staff were friendly, and there is plenty of seating and plug ins. However I blistered the roof of my mouth pretty bad, as the almond milk was scalded. In the end they did remake my drink, and were willing to give me an ice cube for my mouth when I asked. I suggest being very careful or asking for less hot, just to not do what I did. I forgot that second cup can steam it quite hot. I could tell they really did care about doing the best they could, and I understand that is just the way they do things there. I wasn't a fan of the coffee, so I probably won't go back, but if you like second cup, I think you'll like this place.

The service here is always exceptional - staff are super friendly and very kind people. Everything I've ordered is made perfectly and so good. Wonderful place to get together with friends.

Second cup is always a great place to go even for a coffee or a snack and the view of this place is great! One of the busiest sections of the city, Jasper Avenue and 109 Street. The staff are curtious and friendly. A must for coffee lovers!

Compared to my neighborhood second cup which always stays consistent with the way they make my drinks, I find this location lacks flavour every time I've visited. Even when I ask for sweeter drinks they still make them the same.

Excellent customer service. The female staff here are extremely friendly and always remember our coffee orders when my fiance and I come in. It's clean and cozy inside

I've never been crazy about second cup to begin with, I think they use a lot of powders and mixes instead of syrups which makes inferior drinks compared to somewhere like starbucks. I especially avoid the chai as it has a weired bitter taste, kind of like raw flour. My guess is that this comes from some sort of thickener in the powdered mix? Although who knows, I just dont like the chai. Also I find a lot of their holiday/specialty drinks are just plain weired (for example, holiday london fog has cherry flavour in it). However, there are a lot of people who really like them, so I'm going to have to give Second Cup props for creativity, I just havent found one that I really really like. However, personal taste preferences aside, this specific Second Cup location has terrible service. They're inefficient and understaffed. Even simple drink orders when it's not that busy take forever. I work across the street and if I want to get coffee on my 15 minute break I have time to make it to make it to starbucks and back even if there's a crazy lineup. If I go to second cup and there is any more than one person in line, I'm going to be late getting back to work. In addition to being chronically understaffed, the employees just seem.... miserable. It doesn't make me feel good to patronize businesses where the staff are never happy or friendly, as usually it means there's a huge problem with morale, which can almost always be blamed on horrible management.

It is a great coffee shop that is nice and calm amidst all the hustle and bustle of the downtown core. All the staff are very accommodating and do their best deliver and excellent cup of coffee.
