Had a great experience here! Food was amazing had the faceless burger and poutine. Staff was very friendly and service was great nice to see this kind of an option on campus finally. I will definitely return soon to try and work my way through the amazing menu!!

Excellent spot and long awaited. Good beer selection on tap and great food. Prices are very reasonable, with the menu ordered by price. The space has been brightened up a lot from the past establishments at this location and feels very modern. The staff is amazing, friendly and attentive. Wishing this team all the best!!!

What a great spot!! Food was excellent and fairly priced. Great beer selection and my cocktail hit the spot. Our server was attentive and friendly. Would highly recommend this place to anyone. We will definitely be back.

Fantastic little pub/eatery!! I have to admit, it was surprising how delicious the food was... Coconut shrimp, sushi rolls, poke bowl and the meat and potatoes... incredible flavor! Staff were also super friendly... particularly one of the owners... wonderful first experience!

First time to attend The Writers Room. Was expecting more. My friend had the KD mac n cheese. 2 little bits of lobster. She was not impressed with this. I had the Ms Vickie’s fish and chips. I’ll give it a 3 out of 5. It was ok but I was looking for the wow factor. We both had the blueberry cream cheese crumble and this gets a 5 out of 5 from both of us.
The establishment is clean, fresh, and genuinely a nice place to go for a meal. Will we go back, maybe. We do frequent establishments that wow us with their food and atmosphere and pricing. I must add the service was excellent. 5 out of 5 for the atmosphere and service. The food was just average so that’s why I gave it 3 stars.

If you are hungry go somewhere else. The serving sizes are very small. I paid 17$ for 100 grams of quinoa and maybe 3oz of chicken. The presentation of the food was amazing. It also tasted amazing! If I was on a diet and just wanted to instagram my food this would be the perfect place. In the future please consider adding an option for people with big appetites who need to eat their feelings like me.

Good food, great concept, but the service is terrible. On three separate visits at different times (peak and non-peak hours) I had to wait at least 30 minutes for my bill despite asking for it numerous times. The last time I visited I asked if some tables were reserved because there was no seating available. I was dismissed with a curt nod. Come on guys. This is basic stuff. You can’t excel in all the others and then just sleep through good service.
