Definitely one of the best social club to try. There was live music on the patio area and inside the hotel aswell. People and the staff were very friendly. Also one of the best pizza I tried, the curse was thing and well baked.

They have renovated the bar and all tables are high tables and high chairs. The dance floor has been filled with seating. Do they not allow dancing anymore? Also the lady's bathroom is renovated with black stalls and black sinks. No more ugly writing on the walls. Because I am slightly disabled, the seating posed a problem. Why did they take the lower tables and chairs out? Otherwise, I have been going to this bar since 1974 and I have seen lots of changes over the years. I loved the music but I am less inclined to visit this place now.

We had no plans to visit this place but on the way back after having dinner, we saw how lively the place was and decided to give it a try for drinks.
The place was jam-packed and had tropes of people on the floor grooving to live music. Servers were quick with order however the drinks were just passable. The vibe of the place is the show-stopper, would visit again just to enjoy the vibe and absorb in the atmosphere.

Great dance floor. Nice big room. Love it that it has a smoke bit. Music always good. Glad they serve non alcoholic beer.
I rate the Blues club as a 10 out of 10.

The Saturday Blues Jam has been running for a very long time, I have been going for over 30 years! The Hotel has been through many changes and they have upgraded the Bar extensively! The Jam is the place to be on a Saturday Summer afternoon. Very busy and everyone is very warm and welcoming. New management and they communicate well with their patrons. Good Job keeping the Saturday Jam tradition!

Honestly loved it. Fun blues band from Texas was playing. It's a little rough and dirty, but I like that. Staff was super nice and the dance floor was care free. Looking for chill and unpretentious. Stop in.

Charging so much money to sit on their patio, with no roof and cold like you need winter clothing to stay warm. $25. Fri. it rained, $55. Sat. it rained, $25 Sun. all for Canada Day, it's a sad day when you have to charge your regular customers that try to keep the Commercial afloat to charge that kind of money, especially hiring rock bands to play their venues

The renovation was long over due. It's always been a great spot for one of the best venues in Edmonton.

Free music, cheap alcohol, good dance floor, pool tables, recently renovated. Last three acts to roll through that I saw were Sam Spades, Bill Durst, and Boogie Patrol. All were good, and they play multiple days so lots of chances to see them.

I had the pleasure of working here for almost a year and a half before returning home to Ireland. Now that I'm back on Irish soil, Blues on Whyte is ever more appealing than it was before. 7 Nights a week of live music, the Saturday Jam and there annual Bloc Party are things I greatly miss. Definitely worth the visit should you find yourself passing through or in Edmonton in General.
