Review Soda Jerks West Granville - Edmonton

Pros: customizable, quality ingredients, great taste, unique experience Cons: higher than average cost for a burger Great service from our waiter. Had someone thanking us on the way out as well. Very clean eccentric environment. Lots of unique options and specials. BTW Wednesday is 25% off!! They have a big sheet where you customize and build your own burger so if yours doesn’t taste good doing that it’s your fault! Cost is on the higher end for a burger but coming here you get an experience you do not elsewhere. Fries were on the smaller side but still enough. Our burgers were not pouring out fat like you get at some spots, it’s nice to eat a burger and not have it fall apart or need 20 napkins.

Good food, cool modern 60's atmosphere but is a little pricey. We made our own burgers and they where really good. Definitely should go at least once just to check out all the different pops, floats, and milkshakes.

This place has great tasting burgers and onion rings. Definitely coming back! So much more to try here. Prices are a little high but cant judge yet on that because I haven't tried the expensive burgers. It's worth checking out!

We enjoy coming here for the food, customization and value. Atmosphere is average, and we find it quite cold in there. Service is mixed, sometimes great sometimes not depending on the server. But we keep coming back when were craving something hot, cheesy, greasy, and tasty! Also, the milkshakes, they are bomb, you better try one.

If you're looking for a great place to customize your meal to your heart's content, then look no further. Endless combinations of milkshakes and burgers (plus some other stuff as well). You can pick whatever weird combinations you want and the server never gives you a funny look. Our server was awesome. Cracked a few jokes, gave suggestions, didn't bother us every 3 minutes, but made sure we were well taken care of. Always have an awesome time at Soda Jerks so it is well worth the money (mid-priced to expensive depending on your combinations and additions).

Soda Jerks or another burger joint... Soda Jerks or another burger joint...? We obviously chose Soda Jerks to fulfill the burger craving and we're very happy we did! I have been here twice and I have enjoyed both visits. I love that you can create your own burger down to every last detail. I will say though, make sure to ask your server about the drinks because I ordered one that was way too sweet (most of them are), and I only had one sip and had no choice but to leave the whole bottle behind. Not their fault, but just a precaution. I think the reason why this place comes out on top is because you have full liberty of what goes on your burger with no repercussions or judgement from Soda Jerks! This place was definitely close to getting 5 stars from me. Where they are lacking a little bit is in their side dishes. The Significant Other is a huge fan of poutines and there was nothing special about it here. Don't be mistaken, it wasn't unsatisfactory by any means, but the burger definitely outshined all else that was ordered. Also, as a tip, when you're creating your own burger, you are allowed to choose up to 4 toppings at no charge... Please don't choose Ketchup. They provide you with unlimited ketchup at the table... This is a sneaky move on their part. I can see this place being packed during lunch because of their speedy service, excellent location, and lack of direct competition in the surrounding area. Also, Costco is nearby so it's a perfect excuse to stop by before walking off those calories... I mean, getting your groceries done. Heh. Thanks for the awesome service, Jerks! xo

Okay. I've upgraded my review to 5 star. After not being here in awhile I forgot how fun it is to make random food combos. Had a good time. Just wish the hours were later. Pirogy, ego waggle, peanut butter, mushrooms ,an egg and mac and cheese bites. Excellent burger it was

Delighted to find a place where a person with multiple allergies can go and have a burger and fries like a normal person! They use a dedicated fryer for their fries that keeps them gluten-free. Additionally, you can create a custom burger, so you can choose which type of burger and toppings work for you. I had the chicken breast in a lettuce wrap with a couple fixings, which was tasty. The only recommendation I would make is that they create a dairy-free "milk" shake; I can't do carbonated or sweet drinks well, so I couldn't enjoy the soda. I would have loved to have had a a shake instead of just water.

The milkshake we had and the burgers tasted amazing! However, my burger wasn’t hot when it was served and the fries were so bland. Even with salt and pepper and vinegar I still didn’t enjoy them. I would still return over and over again because the burgers are fantastic! I would just order a different side dish. Oh and the chocolate bacon was phenomenal!!

I had the Doris burger, a milkshake and a soda, all very good, how ever if you are going for the Doris I wouldn't have a milkshake before it, took everything I had to finish the burger, but it was delicious, highly recommend this place to everyone I know

This spots sooooo damn good!! Some smuck on Google said it was bland he must have been drunk and ungrateful lmfao its not cheap like Mc Donalds but if u want crap then go there! My meal for a huge burger custom made by me and a lot of fries was 13ish def worth it!! & anywhere with blue cheese as a cheese to pick from def has my vote!!!

We had a good waiter, who was friendly and made sure we knew about the menu. We used a mailed out coupon for 1/2 price, so that was a nice treat. The only reason I wouldn't give this an excellent is that the lettuce wrap for my burger could have been checked over more thoroughly for brown spots and the feature poutine was just thrown together. The food tasted great and was very filling, though!

I decided to try it since the Soda Jerks closed on north side Edmonton. I had a great time. The service was great. The only reason I’m not giving you five stars is because the waiter forgot to give us the pops we ordered but instead gave us water to drink, not that we minded.

Great service, as always. Our server was friendly (but not overbearing/fake). He was fast and efficient. Always a pleasure to visit!

I love this soda jerks. The staff are friendly and attentive. The owner stops by the tables every once in a while. Love the concept of build your own burgers. Great lettuce wrapped burgers for those who don't do buns. Had the thanksgiving burger yesterday and I'm craving it again today! Oh and try the pumpkin pie milk shake. Num num! Only thing was I ordered the big kid one that has some spiced rum in it so I couldn't take the left over to go so omg was I full when I left.

The staff are very friendly, including the manager, the food is great, and if you haven’t tried the wings, try them they are delicious, and you don’t have to wait long for your food.

Only reason not five stars is due to the initial service. We had stopped going to the Mayfield Soda Jerks due to bad service but had a coupon for West Granville so decided to give it another chance. Upon arrival we waited 10 minutes with the servers totally ignoring us then finally when we called someone over, they said they couldn't seat us as they didn't have enough wait staff to serve us (even though there was plenty of open tables). OK, I get that is policy, but to not even acknowledge someone waiting - not good practice to completely ignore customers. After we were seated, the service was fantastic and the food was great. No issues after we were seated, but please management, instruct your wait staff to acknowledge customers rather than ignoring them, even if the service levels are not enough to seat them right away!

I usually love this place, the food was cold when we got it and my burger had no flavour, the chicken strips tasted like deep fryer oil. Kind of disappointed

Been to this location twice-first was for Paint Nite-love the environment & food, think the staff was a bit overwhelmed but still got service. Returned w/my mom -owner were very welcoming and joked with my mom-waitress was ok (lacked a bit of personality) but service was still great!

Service was great and food was even better. Had the chicken burger on rye bread, was cooked perfectly.

We stopped as we love the food at soda jerks - but the service was 'meh' multiple things wrong on our order and we had 3-4 different ppl helping us.... one particular server seemed annoyed to have to take our order.... we do love the food but would hesitate to go back based on service....

Good; food, service, booths, would eat there again. Never give full stars as improvements are always possible even if I miss something.

I had the rueben burger in lettuce... phenomenal... and a wee bit messy.. The food was great.. but the service was STELLAR!! Will definitely be going back!

I miss having wraps as a bread option. I had a green salad with chicken and mushrooms. When serving chicken breast in a large salad bowl it would helpful if the cook cuts the breast at least.

Although I would have loved to have Doris I stuck to my keto diet and had an awesome salad with a ton of fixings. The service was great and food very fast. Came from Saskatoon and was not disappointed.

Great service and the food was awesome!! We were going to their other location that recently closed on 100 avenue, so this location was our next option. Good atmosphere and our server was very nice.
