Review Noodle Xtreme - Edmonton

If you find this helpful, give it a thumbs up! Customer WiFi: Washrooms: Power outlets: Pet friendly: Parking: Food/Drinks: I got the satay soup noodles. Was a little disappointed as it seemed like it was just spicy soup with some peanuts on top. The soup was pretty good I'll give them that. It's just not up to par to other satay noodles I've had. Portion size was not bad and the soup was really hot when it arrived which is fantastic. Service: got delivery Atmosphere: got delivery If you found this helpful, let me know by leaving a thumbs up!

It appears that Noodle Xtreme's overall quality as a restaurant has declined. Increased prices (17.95 for Xtreme Deluxe Vermicelli), and as pictured, decreased portions. My shrimp skewer was a poor excuse for 3 shrimp. Flavour was good; however, for value purposes I do not believe I will visit or order from Noodle Xtreme again. Being a Millwoods local, it is disappointing to see a place I visited often demonstrate poor aspects of a restaurant. The young woman serving is not friendly and would benefit from interpersonal or customer service training as well. Hope this place does a review on how to improve.

Huge serving for the money. Was very filling and tasty. Will definitely go back. Restaurant was clean and presentable. Order was amazingly fast! And HOT!!! Loved it!

Noodle Extreme has really gone down hill with the new management. The previous management was so welcoming & friendly. We had a meal there a the service we recieved will keep us away. After we recieved our food, we were ignored and waited for 20 minutes for the server to return to bring containers for our food. One was sitting at the counter & we signalled & called for help but she just Ignored us. I finally went over & told the server twice that we were waiting for someone to come to our table. Her reply was "no problem". This arrogance will keep us away from this restaraunt.

You need to eat here!!! I have only tried the stir fry delight while dining here, but it is so good i comeback time and time again. If that meal is as awsome as it is other things on the menu have to be as good right?

Meals were prepared fresh, quick, and plentiful. Staff are helpful in ordering and serving, even assisting in upgrading to a combo. Place is clean and peaceful with lots of parking. Great place for groups to get lunch or dinner. Very similar items to a phó restaurant.

Their chicken vermicelli is my favourite version of the dish.

My first visit to Noodle Xtreme. We ordered ahead of time so when we arrived, our food was ready for us as soon as we sat down. I ordered the Rice, Munch & Pop Combo with BBQ Pork Chop and Green Onion Cake. It was delicious! And such a large portion that I have enough for lunch for tomorrow. I will definitely be coming here again!

weve been going to noodle extreme ever since they opened... one of their first customers... i think for the first few months, we were there almost every night for supper... tran and victor are such nice people and you can tell they care about customer service and serving a quality meal. the food always tastes fresh and the servings are generous. the staff has always been up beat and friendly. many years later and they are still going strong...earning 5 stars for sure!

My husband and I love the food so much. Staff are friendly.

Serve yourself type style restaurant. Had the chicken satay soup combo. So it comes with an appetizer (I had the one onion cake) a pop (or drink of your choosing) and then the huge huge huge bowl of satay soup. Well worth it for price, how quick everything comes out and the actual quality of food👏

Fast and quick service for nights when we don't cook. My husband loves the xtreme vermicelli. The spring rolls are my favourite, very flavorful. We've never had a sit down meal here, but it is really clean and the staff is friendly.

This restaurant would get a 5 out of 5 if it wasn't for the prices and the limited menu. The taste and quality of the food is some of the best in the city and the service is fast and friendly. I only wish they had a bigger variety of food choices to choose from and that they were a little cheaper. There is not a lot of Vietnamese restaurants to chose from in Millwoods and this is by far the best one in the neighbourhood. But as more open up, I could see the prices going down.

Wor won ton. They don't even know what won ton soup is. No BBQ pork, shrimp, chicken, onion, bok choy. Tastes terrible.

Service With A Smile!!!. The Extreme Deluxe; my go to dish... With the vermicelli noodle.
And I'll travel all the way from westmount to get it.
Even though I have to go into Millwoods
I love Noodle Extreme that much.

Take off 5 stars though.... even though I like it! The only thing that sort of makes me give it a half rating is the high price tag!!! Yeeesh!!!! 9$ for onion cakes?!! WHAT? That's double what you normally pay. I guess they can do that because they are the only one in the area!!!! Hmmmmmm. Too bad I could see myself going everyday! I will just have to go once a week or less. I will return.... When I have more money!!! Lol!!!

I started going here about 4 years ago while I was working as a receptionist for a quick but filling lunch. Every time I walk in I'm greeted with enthusiasm by both the staff in the back and up front. I've never had a bad meal or experience here and it's one of my favorite places to eat at in Mill Woods.

Love it!. Tried several of their Phö including Hot & Sour Seafood, Chicken, Beef. The soup tastes refreshing and authentic and not the generic MSG soup base you get from most other Vietnamese restaurants. Great portion of noodles too!

I loved the lemongrass shrimp! the best and the kids loved the chicken noodle soup. my hubby is a fan of the stir fried noodle. awesome!

Mixed Feelings - overall good concept except that it is very pricey compared to Chinatown. This is a tokyo sushi express type place where you go in to order and people bring you the food. This saves server cost. My first reaction is that the prices are high... it feels like I was in Yellowknife (Yes they have Vietnamese food there!) and prices are jacked up by 10 to 20%.

For example, spring rolls are $8.75 and I think you get 5... which I avoided to order at all costs (no pun intended). Xtreme deluxe is $14.95... maybe I've been hiding under a rock but everything is just overpriced.

Then I realized... there is about 10% of tip built in to food prices... then it made sense! I'm just guessing :P

OK enough ranting about prices, the food is actually quite decent. Vermicelli bowl had warm noodles (love that, only this place and Pho Du if I can remember correctly) and the chicken was specially seasoned... it wasn't just Pagolac generic crap slapped into the bowl. I think there was a bit of "I paid so much for this so it must taste good" effect happening. The Xtreme Spicy Beef Noodle (Bun Bo Hue as others call it) was pretty big in portion size. It didn't taste half bad either (Not Trang Tien or Pho Huong & Mama Pizza good).

This is a good place to come if you live in Millwoods and don't want to drive to Chinatown. Skip Pagolac... yeah I'd rather eat here than Pagolac. LOL. At least it tastes "authentic" here... or flavorful.

Nice little Vietnamese place in the southeast. Good food and good service.

Must try: Xtreme Deluxe. I have been going to Noodle Xtreme for the whole 4 years I've lived in Edmonton. The food has always been consistently excellent, and its always fresh. I don't know what they put in there to give it that flavour, maybe lemongrass? Its addictive... Oh yeah and HUGE portions! The staff is always super friendly, and its always a reasonable wait time. Not to mention in 4 years their menu prices have remained the same. :) Everyone I've take there has loved it just as much as me!

My favourite place. I LOVE NOODLE XTREME . Haha. I have tried many Vietnamese restaurants and Noodle xtreme seems to WOW me. Yeah some people may not like the idea of going up to the front to order, but noodle xtreme is different. I rather not sit at a table and wait for 20 mintues to order food. Its a really quick and easy process.
I really enjoy eating the Lemon Grass chicken because it is juicy and tender and like no other, but I also enjoy the Satay Pho, the broth is very tasteful and very well put together. Most of all their dishes are delicious. Noodle xtreme is a great environment. The staff members are such a joy to talk to, for example Darlene. Shes such a kind hearted lady and really cares about her customers. I do recommend Noodle xtreme , give it a try, im sure you will love it !

Lemon Grass Chicken is Awesome. I've been to a few Vietnamese places and seem to enjoy different items in each...my favorite thing at Noodle Xtreme is the Lemon Grass chicken on vermicelli...lots of moist chicken in awesome lemongrass flavour. My friend always orders the Spicy Beef soup...it's her favourite in this restaurant. Place is very casual, but I liked that, and the staff are very friendly. I have trouble believing they didn't accomodate any problems..they seem very accomodating to any changes I've ever requested. Little pricier than some other places, but the quantity is also larger than most. Definitely gets my vote!

Vermicelli bowl. I ordered a deluxe vermicelli bowl and WOW it is big. The meat is so tasty. The lady worked there is very nice, informed and explained in details bc I've never been here before. My boyfriend and I shared it and we enjoyed it. I'll be back.

I have eaten at noodle Xtreme many times and everything has always been awesome especially Their vermicelli bowls. But I had Their cashew chicken stirfy the other night and it was terrible! The chicken was little pieces that had lots of grissle on it. It tasted like it had been cooked days ago and warmed up. And for that terrible meal it was $13.60. For the quality I got it should have been $7. I will go back because I have been there before and it has been great, but one more experience like yesterday and ever again.

Prefer pagolac's beef noodle soup more than theirs. Also don't like the cafeteria feel.

Came here especially to compare the Satay Soup with another restaurant that is difficult to equal...let alone prevail above our favourite. The soup was definitely thinner and we both had to add the provided hot chili sauce to bring it up to the heat to which we are accustomed.
The restaurant happily switched the beef to our requested chicken, which was very appreciated.
At this point, the jury is still out and we are going to give this excellent soup another try before we give the verdict.

Fell in love with their pho!! Looking forward in trying their vermicelli some day soon! A bit pricey but it was worth it. Lots of ingredients and great tasting soup! Would return.

Food is okay, didn't like the fast-food feel to ordering. Upon entering the restaurant you stand in front of the menu board and place your order. It felt like ordering at McDonald's and I didn't care for it. I'd rather have time to sit and look over the menu for a few minutes. However, we ordered our meal and then chose a table. The service was quick and friendly, and the food was okay. Not sure if I'd go back. I think I'd rather be adventurous and try other places in search of a "go-to" Vietnamese restaurant.

Good but overpriced compared to other places

Ok at best. Don't go if you're used to pagolok. It doesn't compare.

Over priced and not that good. I normally have only eaten Vietnamese noodle soup downtown but I thought I would drop in here to pick up something for dinner.
The menu board they have up top did not really make sense to me as all I wanted was a bowl of soup that has white noodles and chicken like I usually get downtown.
So I told the kid working the till (it was like some 12 year old kid) what I want and asked him what should I order and he said it's the vermicelli noodles with my choice of chicken, beef or sausage, so I figured cool, I'll take it with chicken.
After waiting around a while the kid called me to the counter and he had confused another persons order with mine and was asking me if I wanted hot sauce as he was bagging it, and I told him "Is there soup in there? like with broth?" I asked this because he was packing up normal dry food Styrofoam take away containers, which if you put soup in there would spill everywhere.
The lady from the kitchen came up and told him that was not my order, so I went back to waiting.
Finally my order came and I went up and again he was packing Styrofoam contains that one doesn't put soup in, so I asked him if that was my order and it was.
Apparently I had ordered noodles with meat on them, not in soup though.
I told him I had wanted soup and pointed to a table where other people had been eating soup in bowls and said "like how they had soup in a bowl you know with broth".
He said no this is your order, well I'm not one to make a fuss so I took it and headed out, One would think in a normal restaurant they would of right then and there fixed the mistake, but not there.

I got home and sat down to eat, I opened the container and it was half full of lettuce with some other stuff in it, salad is cool, as long as its salad, this was just shredded and wilted, I cant believe they would serve it.
The chicken on top of my noodles was over cooked or maybe just really poor quality chicken as it was dry.
The noodles were nice, I mean plain noodles with no soup broth, I guess they were as good as they could be.
At $12 for this I felt ripped off.
1. It was not what I had wanted
2. there was hardly any chicken and the container was full of the old wilted lettuce
3. it was way over priced, $12 for JUST some noodles with dry chicken, no drink, oh there was a spring roll that was cut up into four in the container too.

Would I ever go back? No.

Very good Spicy Satay Soup

Also, it’s part of my routine if I ever have a cold, which is: 1) Take a long hot shower, 2) Drink 2 litres of Orange Juice (Extra Pulpy), 3) eat Beef Satay Noodle Soup from Noodle Xtreme, the cure for all that ails ya!.
