I have eaten here twice in the last 2 days and I have to say this is the BEST Chinese food I’ve had since arriving in Canada from New York. I am smitten. The staff are friendly, professional and just plain nice. You can tell it’s a family rather than a big box chain. And the food tastes, well honestly: wholesome. I will definitely get rider again. Legitimately the best Chinese restaurant in Mill woods and Edmonton. I don’t normally leave reviews but I feel compelled as the food was absolutely delicious. Very tasty and fresh and you can chose among many options. The girl that helped me was very kind and polite. Everything about this restaurant was great. I cannot recommend this place enough. I am definitely going back.

This is my absolute favorite Chinese restaurant in Edmonton. The food is always fresh and scrumptious. No matter what I order, I am always delighted with my meal! Servers are also friendly and always efficient, professional and polite. Definitely fine dining. Highly recommended!

Based upon recommendations for Chinese Food, tonight we went with Wok This Way ….. and just gotta say, we were absolutely impressed 💯!! It began with the very impressive call/communication with the girl attending the phone (hindsight -should have gotten her name), the prompt and friendly delivery to the OH SO AWESOME food!!!! 😋 So, thank you to those who recommended them and thank you to Wok This Way. An extremely satisfied, full and happy customer 💜

This is another family favorite. Great Chinese food, good portions and fast service! Almost everytime we have ordered, they say it will be there in 45 minutes and within 20 to 30 minutes they are ringing the doorbell. Highly recommend!

I must say every time I come here they are nothing but the most pleasant people. They even gave me a drink while i waited. Food is ALWAYS fresh and delicious. I have moved further away but I continue to come to this restaurant as my go to take out. Highly recommend 👌 thank you fuys for your continued service

Great staff.....food was good....but was typical so.....worth trying, just not a place I would make a point in going back on purpose. Just missed the "oh....yum.." Feeling in the food....seems like mall food just better quality by a notch or two.

Always great food and the best customer service! Super busy on New Years Eve but the staff were still amazing and the food top notch! Can’t beat their Cantonese Chow Mein, Ginger Beef and Kung Pao Chicken. �

I've ordered from here a bunch of time and the food was always decent. Tonight I ordered PARADISE SHRIMP and was sent peach shrimp. The lady called me a liar and was horrible to deal with. Even acknowledging that I always order paradise shrimp... so why would tonight be any different. Can't believe they are willing to lose a customer when they screwed up the order. Fuck this place.

We went here on New Year’s Day for pho and they weren’t serving pho that day lol🥺or any soup for that matter lol. We ended up having almond chicken, Shanghai bbq pork noodles, and peach shrimp. All very good, just was looking forward to the pho. It’s pretty good so better luck next time on getting some pho🤞

A great little place tucked away in Millwoods. We've eaten there and ordered delivery from them plenty of times and they've aways been great. Service in the restaurant is quick, and they are very friendly. Same for delivery, they're there when they say they'll be. <br/><br/>The soups and appys are great. Our typical favourite dishes are ginger beef, Singapore noodles, and special fried rice. But also dishes like the thousand spice chicken and diced chicken cashew are great. Haven't dabbled much in the vermicelli/pho dishes, but the panfried lemongrass chicken on vermicelli is good. <br/><br/>Portions are huge, and everything is fairly priced. Also its nice that if you're in the restaurant they have great 1 person lunch specials so you can have your favourites (like lemon chicken) without ordering a massive sharing dish. <br/><br/>Awesome place, and we'll definitely keep coming back!

You gotta get the thousand spiced chicken! Sweet and sour pork, fried rice, and all the noodle dishes are really good here. A+ service and speed. Will definitely be back.

Dinner at Wok This Way. Service is incredibly fast as well as polite and pleasant to talk to. Order is prepared to order and is quick out of the kitchen. Wonton soup, spring rolls, shrimp fried rice, beef and vegetables with sweet and sour pork. All hot and very good. Big flavors and great value from this mom and pop style restaurant.

Yummy! I get it for lunch quite often. Today was my first time getting the Pan Fried Lemongrass Shrimp Vermicelli. Holy YUM. Spicy and flavorful! Huge portion! And it's so close to my work!

Extremely slow delivery. I've eaten many times before and have enjoyed it. But, my last two experiences (one eating in and one ordering take out) were horrible.<br/>There were mistakes with the order and the food was extremely slow. <br/>My friend and i ordered take out at 5:30 and were told that the food might arrive by 7:45, but would probably be there by 7:00.<br/>We didn't mind waiting, so we said that was fine. <br/>At 7:45 nothing had been delivered. We called to see if it was on the way and it hadn't even been cooked yet. The lady on the phone sounded confused really confused about our order and kept asking us how we wanted to pay. <br/>It would have been at least another hour to get our food, so we cancelled the order and got something from somewhere else. Very disappointed

New Fav. So we stopped into this little gem tonight on a whim. It's close to home and thought we should try it out. It was fabulous - we have eaten at many different Asian restaurants and this is our new favorite. Taipan was always the favorite....but I have to say this place kicks it's butt. The staff there was really friendly and the portions were fantastic for the price. YUMMY!!

Delicious!. Me and my friend (plus my baby) both ordered shared stir fry vegetables with chicken, we ended up sharing one because it was so big! And for sure the best food i had in a while! :)

Nope. I don't know why this place is ranked so high. I'm extremely disappointed. The chicken chow mein was runny and wet. The ginger beef is to sweet, and there is no fortune, in my fortune cookie.

Really really not good. Not impressed. The spring rolls were the only redeeming bit. Didn't like the salad rolls, very gummy. Pad Thai was terrible. Ginger beef was under cooked and gummy and flavour less. Didn't both trying anything else. So disappointed.

I love this place. Super friendly and good food. I suggest the #18 pan fried lemon chicken vermicelli bowl. It is so delicious that I get one just about once or twice a week, this is one meal i can never get sick of eating, but really all their vermicelli bowls that I have tried have been really good. The onion cake is also pretty yummy!

Credit Card Mess up. Unfortunately didn't get to try the food , I tried to order food using a credit card and they asked for my 3 digit security code. Not impressed with the service.

No one answers phone!. Tried calling today to order for supper for a pickup! No one would answer the phone! Are they so busy they don't need anymore business? Too bad, hear it's good, but guess we will never know! We found another place in the area!

Poorly organized management!. Sunday, Oct. 13...both the website and FB page say that they are open Sundays and holidays from 4:30 to 10:30 so after calling repeatedly for 20 minutes for delivery, with no answer or voicemail message, we decided to drive down to see what the hell was going on since it was only five minutes from our house. What we found was a tiny stupid sign on the door saying that the restaurant was closed for the Thanksgiving holiday (even though the website said it was open Sunday's and holidays and their FB page said OPEN today from 4:30 to 10:30) is really useless to people who are PHONING your restaurant!!! Seriously, is management so absolutely stupid that they can't think to update anything OR have a message for people phoning in that they're closed? Unbelievably poor management and not worth my business in the future.

BIG LET DOWN!! I was so excited this place finally opened for lunch. I eat pho soup very often and there's not a lot of restaurants on the south side. When I asked if they had Tom yum pho they didn't know what I was talking about. Then I choose the beef pho. When I got my bowl there wasn't a lot of broth and I wasn't offered bean spouts or basil or lime. When I asked she said they where already in the soup. The basil was cooked and the bean spouts were in the bottom. The meat was so awful I couldn't eat it. The broth had no flavour at all. The worst pho I have ever had. NEVER will I go back there. Very disappointing.

EPIC FAIL!!!!. This was by far the worst chinese food I have ever had. Not only is this place over priced it is also the most disgusting Asian food you will ever eat. If you are looking for a good Asian restaurant in the Jackson Hights area try Tasty World instead.

I just had to go back! Firstly the customer service from Liu (the gentleman behind the bar) is just amazing, like the bar tender from Billy Joel songs, quick with a joke and a light of your smoke (or in this case a great gin and tonic). Now to the food: first time we visited I made the typical westerner mistake, I ordered the same ol' thing...meh. Second time we visited this neat little establishment I asked what Liu recommended and HOLY COW! Wonderful food and a great G&T, recommended to visit this place to everyone

Urbanspoon you have failed me! I can not believe this restaurant has a 93%. This was the WORST Chinese and Vietnamese food I have ever had. We order 2 vermicelli bowls (honesty who can ruin a vermicelli bowl? Wok this way that's who!). The bowls had lettuce and bean sprouts for veggies - no carrots no cucumbers no mint no green onion no peanuts no cilantro. The accompanying fish sauce was gross. We also decided to try the almond chicken which was sooo overcooked it was dark brown you could barely chew it and the ginger beef which was also over cooked and disgusting! <br/><br/>Do not trust the reviews for this place!! Avoid!!!!

Wok this way was quite possibly the best oriental food we've had here in Edmonton.<br/>My boyfriend and myself eat out quite often, salad rolls being our very favorite thing to eat. And let me tell you, AMAZING. The peanut sauce was warm and delicious and there was plenty of it. The ginger beef was delicious, even after we got it home. <br/>And the customer service! Probably the friendliest I've ever seen. <br/>10/10 from us!

Great dinner, very reasonable price. Four of us went for dinner today (New Years Day) and they were short staffed and pretty busy, but we were served quickly and the food came out in a reasonable time. Everything was delicious. The lemon chicken was tender and the breading was very well done; the ginger beef wasn't crispy, but the sauce was perfectly spicy. The Shanghai noodles were fragrant and just spicy enough to put a tingle on your lips, and the lemongrass tofu was amazing. Tart and salty, and the onions were the perfect fit for it. Four of us feasted and took extra home for someone who wasn't able to join us, and it came to about 20 bucks less than I was expecting to pay for that much food. And because they were busy and short staffed and the food was so good, they got a big tip. Happy New Year, guys! Well done! :)

I just noticed it on the way home one day and I thought I should give it a try. I ordered take-out. The Server was pleasant and the food was ready to go precisely at the time estimated. I ordered 6 dishes. Food looked and tasted fresh. Overall: Very good and reasonably price.

Absolutely amazing! This was definately one of those hidden gems people start talking about! I had the pho here, and the soup was made from scratch, not like the other pho places where its just msg. So much meet and noodles. Definately come back here again!

Pretty Good - but can be pricey. We've eaten here twice after passing by it many times on our way to the dog park. We had pho the first time, the bf really like his, he had the spicy beef soup and I liked my 6 colour noodle bowl, but the fish sauce was sweeter than I am used to (usually I like the stronger more salty), the meat was really good. We tried the bacon wraps, they were okay, but the sauce was a little too much like mayo - if it were like the dragon on whyte sauce from Kyoto sushi if would be reeeaaaally good. The green onion cakes are awesome, crispy not pucklike, not too greasy, just green onion goodness. Overall I've had noodle bowls I've like more, but after the one spoonful of pho I snuck makes me want to try a bowl myself.<br/>The second time we got bbq pork rice, salad rolls, 1000 spice chicken and ginger beef. First the just-okay, the salad rolls were decent, the sauce is good, we put a little hot sauce in it just because its something that we started doing. I think I was not really in the mood for salad rolls, but they weren't gross or bad. The ginger beef is a split decision. I liked it, my boyfriend didn't. It was firm with some crisp under a layer of softer mooshy beef (if that makes sense) and you could notice the ginger. Its not the super chewy crisp candied ginger beef you get at the taste of Edmonton. My boyfriend wasn't a fan, but he also liked the ginger beef from Lee Garden and Good Buddy while I didn't. Now the surprise was the 1000 spices chicken, it says it was spicy but it wasn't, I was expecting something cubed and sauced (I didn't ask what it was because we were trying new things) but it's actually small pieces of fried chicken. It was gooood. Imagine what you wish KFC tasted like. You know that crispy skin that's still a little soft from delicious fat, seasoned up and a little sweet. That was this chicken.<br/>We'll be trying some other items out, I just wish that they offered a combo meal that you could pick the entrees from a small selection of popular items so you can try things without spending 40$ like we did. Pricewise Good Buddy and Lee Garden are a better value as you get a choice of entrees and soup and spring rolls so that might be a deciding factor for some people. (it's on par with Olive Garden for 2!)

Wok This Way. This is by far the best Chinese food I've had in Edmonton and perhaps all of Alberta. I ordered takeout but ordered it when I got there. I was expecting a long wait as I didn't call beforehand, but my wait was less than 15 mins max. I ordered Mix veggies, special fried rice and S&W pork, and it was all fresh and fantastic. The spring rolls that came with the meal were the best I've ever eaten. The service was quick and friendly and I will most defiantly be going back for more!!!!!!!!

Best Chinese Food in Edmonton - HANDS DOWN!. My parents have raved to us about Wok This Way ever since trying it when it first opened this summer. We finally decided to order take out for my birthday a few weeks ago, and were blown away! The food definately exceeded our expectations, and we have been back to dine in and take out a few times since my birthday a few weeks ago. We have tried most of the highly rated Chinese food on urban spoon, but Wok This Way far exceeds any of them. Make sure to try the Chow Mein, Sweet and Sour Pork, and Peaches and Cream shrimp, yum!!! Trust me when I say that you will never buy Chinese food anywhere else once you eat here once!

The broth is very much a standard pho broth with some chili in it, from what I can taste, it’s nicely salty and oniony with a good spicy kick to it, not overbearingly spicy, just the right amount. There are loads of noodles and beef slices accompanied with the soup, the beef is thickly sliced and looks almost like roast beef slices. I like how there’s some fat in the beef slices, it gives it a very tender almost melt-in-your-mouth feeling and to re-iterate, there are loads of beef with this meal. Overall, there’s almost not enough broth with this meal but what you get is incredibly filling, Wok This Way doesn’t accomplish anything new, but what they offer is pretty decent!
