Amean's King Spicy donair is one of the most addicting pleasures I've found in Edmonton. The hot peppers match perfectly with their sweet sauce. Every time I've been here, I've received a good sized portion of well seasoned and prepared meat with enough veggies to taste and sauce in every bite. All in all, a perfect donair.
More importantly, the staff are the friendliest in the city, in any restaurant. I have felt welcomed like family on every visit. I leave in a better mood, with a smile on my face as well as a full stomach. This alone makes me come back again and again.
Usually stop by after princess auto shopping. I've had the assorted sub and pizza both are excellent. Had a donair today and it was excellent I was starting to think I didn't like donairs anymore till today.
I'll definitely go there again for a "King Spice"

A "Mean" donair
For a donair place they sure do take a long time to make Donairs. Been here a few times and have been the only person in the place and they still take 10 - 15 minutes to make a donair.... ???? Good Donairs tho! Just a little slow! Well worth going and checking out! Hope they speed it up a bit!!!
Quality Donairs. Clean and tidy place for a donair shop. Quality donair! The meat was sliced nice and thin. Great proportion of meat, veggies and sauce. I don't like donairs drenched in too much sweet sauce. Very neatly made and wrapped donair. Good prices, fair portion. Will definitely be back. Thumbs up!

New Favourite Donair in YEG. Finally made time to stop in here, so glad I did, the donair was totally worth it! The service was okay, but no where near as bad as some reviews have noted.
I ordered a beef donair. The meat was loaded on and seasoned really well, flavourful but not too spicey. It was sliced thin and fried crispy on the griddle without tasting fatty or greasy. Their donair sauce was bang on too, thick and not too sweet. Also, I didn't feel gooed out after as the day passed on, as often happens with donairs (especially when eating them sober).
Looking forward to going back and trying a few other sandwiches off their menu. Seems like a great lunch spot!
Authentic Donair Experience. Amean donair does things right. The meat is spicy and cooked to perfection. They fry it up to create a little crisp edge to create the variation that is needed for a good donair. The toppings are fresh and note that they use red onions instead of white. You will receive a true muslim welcome which is cold and stand offish. Don't let that deter you as the food will speak for itself. This is truly one of the top donairs in the city!! Also try their garlic sauce which is hands down the tastiest and most potent I have ever had.
The freshness if the dinars is proven in every bite. The donair pizza is one if the best we've had. Dollar value is high by taste ratings are off the charts. Amazing food.

Decent!. This might be my new favorite donair place. The service was quick and friendly. My donair was not greasy, but rather it was tasty and good sized. I would be a regular here if I lived a bit closer. The guys here certainly keep the place clean, which is a bonus.
Best Donairs. I have had lots of donairs all over the city, but this is my favourite donair place! I think their donair meat has more black pepper than other places, so the meat has an extra kick to it. If you like food that'll give you a heart attack, they also have a donair poutine that's really good.
The donair pizza is surprisingly light. Hardly any grease stains on the cardboard box. I ate half a pizza and while I'm full, it's not sitting in my stomach like a ton of bricks. Good taste, good crust, friendly staff.
Pretty darn good donair. The staff is very friendly. The guy behind the counter "upgraded" my donair to the large because it was my first time there. I will be back.

I have had donairs from practially everywhere in Edmonton. This place was by far the best I have ever had. It was a very clean, comfortable and friendly environment. The donairs are amazing. I will deffinatly go back.
I came here for lunch recently after hearing good things about the food. I tried the Cheese Donair and was surprised. There were a lot of donair meat, vegetables, and everything tasted really good together. Overall, this is a place with good food for excellent value.
I stopped here with a friend for a quick meal - I will definitely be a returning customer and will recommend their location to others! I had their regular donair and the quality and flavor was great with every bite. The meat was not dry and ingredient proportions were spot on! The donair is also huge for the price.
The guys running Amean were friendly and even greeted other customers by name - showing their quality is consistent to bring in regular customers. I'm looking forward to going back!

This local business will have me coming back everytime and it's not because their pizza was frigg'n amazing.
So I'm in Edmonton over the weekend from fort mcmurray for school and I have a crazy urge for pizza. Google maps provides me with some chain options but then I see this place I've never heard of and the people of Google reviews say this place won't do you wrong, and it sounds like a ma' and pa' business so that seals the deal.
First off the smell of that delicious Donair meat hits your face like the most delicious meat perfrum- and I'm a vegan, soooo (sorry plant Gods!!!) so anyhow, as I'm waiting for my order at 7pm on Saturday, people are milling in and out (perfection takes time y'all, I'll wait for that pizza!!) and as I watch a young fellow who looked down on his luck walk in, I see the two men behind that counter give eachother a nod and hand this fellow a meal on the house.
Bless your hearts, lll a regular visitor when I'm down south.

We were heading out of EDM late this past weekend and all places were closing as it was almost 10pm. But when we walked in they were so patient, cool as a cucumber as we made an order (the menu is quite large, so it made it hard to decide!), and took their time to get it right - they stayed later than closing and brought it out to us as if that was just part of any normal day.
We ordered a 14" pizza, fries, king spicy donair, and the eponymous Amean burger - all were absolutely loaded with meat and condiments and so flavourful, great value for the price. The packaging was excellent as well, no soppy mess at the end despite a lot of liquid in the donair.
Highly recommended - if you are hitting the highway, either direction (Calgary Trail, Gateway Boulevard), it is an extremely convenient pit stop and one you will not regret you made.
Yummmmmm fresh pita bread & fresh good chunks of tomatoes 🍅 I can tell that they’re fresh they’re juicy and perfect crisp, I hate when tomatoes are soggy or diced these tomatoes were perfect. I accidentally took the wrong order and the guy said wait and took it upon himself to deliver it back to my car apologizing for something that was my fault 🥲 the staff are very nice & go above and beyond and so does the doner I loveddd it
Excellent food, I tried a chicken donair, it was perfectly wrapped, sauced and tasted amazing, the prices can't be beat, GST is included In price, really honest owners and really honest cooking make for a successful business
Amazing taste and quality. The food always seems so fresh. They go out of their way to serve the customer. Once I ordered a beef wrap by accident though I wanted a chicken wrap. The owners just made a new one for me without hesitation and no extra cost. I really felt sorry but they made me feel special. Great customer service.
I ordered a cheese Donair and my boyfriend ordered a super Donair. They were both tasty and the meat has excellent spice and flavour. You get great value for the price too. The one thing that I didn't like was that the pita doesn't wrap all the way around so the fixings kept falling out as we were eating. Otherwise, a really great meal!
