No wonder this has been an Edmonton institution for 30 years!
Amazing food. Had the spicy Vietnamese soup (Bun Bo Hue), which was great, with an outstanding broth.
Nice location, clean, intimate.
Excellent service!
My spouse is pregnant and was craving Won Ton Soup and we came across this restaurant. They were about to close and didn't mind serving us and oh my gosh the food looked amazing and tasted amazing. They also didn't rush us or the food which was great. Roger the server was amazing
Service is bad. Waitress just donβt care about their job. They donβt respect the food and you can tell in every way. Food is not impressive at all. I just had the worst deep fried squid in a very long time. Edmonton has many many better Vietnamese restaurant. This will be the last one I think of.
Doan's is the place to go for some authentic Vietnamese meals. The service and the quality of the food are always top notch. Some of the best Pho in Edmonton, and the salad rolls are always super delicious.
Loved this place when I went to university many moons ago, and was so pleased to see that 20 years later it is thriving. Some of the best broth this side of Vietnam, and rare beef actually arrives at the table still rare. If you're visiting Edmonton, visit Doan's. You will enjoy.
Doan come here, They've changed their bowls to the bowls as you see in the picture but the strange thing is the amount of the food was only 1/3 than the regularπ°π°Also the price was higher comparing to other pho restaurants. π±π±π±π±π±π±π±π±π±π±π±π±π±π±π±π±π±π±π±πππππππππππππππππππ
The bun bo hue is decent, even though it is not very authentic. The broth tastes ok, but there is hardly any meat or veggies, other than bean sprouts. It is mostly just noodles and broth.
The service isn't bad, but isn't great.
The spring rolls were yummy but the portion was kinda small. If you're expecting typical larger Vietnamese portions, this would not be the place
