Review The Burger's Priest - Edmonton

Sofina Bhullar
They have the most amazing old fashioned milkshakes. Pictured here, our favorite the mint chocolate chip shake. It is creamy and has just the right amount of mint to make it yummy. The chicken tenders (hot n honey especially) are my second favorite food personally, however, my husband absolutely loves the chicken burgers. They never fail to disappoint considering we often get the food delivered. It is always amazing!!

We came on tonight with the boys for dinner. I ordered the high priest. Kids ordered the hotdogs, chicken burger and the low priest. With fries and cheese fries. The food was amazing. Service was super. Atmosphere was great. Can't wait to come back

Absolutely amazing staff! The place is beautiful and staff are super friendly and humanly splendid. The food is always delicious and pricing is all right. I love that you get a lot of food as well for the price. Also I want to thank from the bottom of my heart and on behalf of my mom the staff for not rejecting her for using the bathroom as she has diabetes. Not all the shop around you (KYOTO) have a staff like yours, understanding and simply good human beings. And plus your food was damn excellent. I am definitely going back and recommending it to EVERYBODY. Yes your heard … this restaurant is food is “ZE BEST”.

Walked into Burger Priest for lunch today with my little boy. From the moment we were helped to the moment we left, the service was superb! The food was delicious! Burgers made to perfection and the chicken was excellent!place is very clean! When they realized my hands were full with seating my son etc, they brought over our tray and served us well. Thank you! We will be going back and totally recommend this location!

The portions are sizeable and the staff is friendly. I personally didn’t find the burger amazing, but each to their own. The portions were fair and reasonably priced.

We always enjoy the food here. Usually I go for the beef burgers, but today I tried The Token (buffalo fried chicken burger with blue cheese) and it was delicious as well.

I would give no stars if I could. We ordered through Skip. I live about 5 minutes from the store. I ordered at 6:30 and got it at 7:45. It was all cold. The burgers were so dry and burnt that they were inedible. I paid for fried onions and got two small pieces. What a waste of time and money! I’m sure you guys can do better than this!

I was not happy with my orders. Bacon cheese dog was very dry and also the Vatican burger not a juicy also the fries is too small for the cuts and quarter of it was cook burn.
Daniel McLaughlin
This place is definitely good but a little over hyped. Price is incredible.

Food was good, cheeseburger wasn't anything special. I ordered the $10 lunch special which includes a single cheeseburger (can't choose other burgers on the menu), french fries, and a pop. Good sized burger with plenty of fries. I would want to come back and try other things on the menu.

Average at best burger that's not really any bang for your buck either. Facilities were still relatively clean and there is a decent amount of space inside.

I have had Burgers Priest before and it was good, this trip was disappointing. Look at my pics: we had our kids so we ordered 4 bags of chips. What we got was 4 bags of GREASY chips that were the double-cooked bits from the bottom of the bag. Almost no fries. The flavor was as if they sat in cold grease. That piece of bacon in the other pic? $1.49. The Peters Denial chicken was aptly named: wife was denied of juicyness, tenderness and flavor. She said "If I closed my eyes I couldn't tell you what I was eating." Quite unsatisfying - we had to eat again when we got home after throwing out all those french fry renderings. This restaurant needs an exorcism before I go back.<br/>

This place is no better than the one at south common. The service is absolutely terrible. The waitress seemed like she didn't want to be there and had no concern for customer service. Would highly recommend going elsewhere.

Came here expecting a decently<br/>Fair meal for the prices. Boy was i disappointed, cost me 18$ i had a kids meal (high priest meal) came with 2 patty special sauce and 3 buns fries and drink, it tasted alright nothing spectacular about the same size as a big mac for 18$! "The special sauce" is pretty much big mac sauce LOL, The fries were same as a medium fries at mcdonalds but were not bad, not even as good as new york fries. Wouldn't come back, prices are too high for small portions and average food. <br/><br/>Im currently sitting in Kyoto jap restaurant now across the street now ordering a bento meal, kids meal at burger priest didnt cut it.

Not the downtown location but the one on 21 street. Why 1 star? My Vatican Burger was serve me with Kraft Cheese singles! $11.99 for a sub par burger served with kraft processed cheese. 'Nough said<br/><br/>Highly not recommended

worst burger ever. Do not waste your money.I would recommend going to smoke burger!<br/><br/>Burger is overly greasy and low quality meat patty.
Gluten Free Edmonton
One of our friends would talk about this burger joint in Toronto she would visit for a great gluten free burger.  Every visit we made to Toronto, we'd never quite make it down to the joint.  Great news is that The Burger Priest now has a location in Edmoton.  Downtown to be specific at Jasper Ave. and 109 Street, beside the Kyoto Japan.

With no other quick burger joints in the area (or at least that I could think of), I got around to finally trying The Burger's Priest! I got the "What's Right" combo which included the double cheeseburger, chilli cheese fries, a cookie, and a drink. The combo seemed like a really good deal at first, until they gave me a small cookie and a regular can of gingerale. But I still had hope! The chilli cheese fries was amazing! Seasoned, flavourful, and hearty; definitely had that classic chilli taste. The burger was delicious as well- super juicy and overall hit the spot! I just wasn't too happy that we had to wait 30 minutes for our order on a not too busy Sunday night (especially for a $17 combo!). I also found it a bit odd that alot of the orders that were "eat-in" were bagged and boxed in styrofoam.  It might take another while for me to try this place again but I do recommend everyone try it at least once!

Been here a few times and have tried a multiple things. I originally tried the Burger's Priest in Toronto. The Cali tastes like a Big Mac and wouldn't recommend it. I tried one with a deep fried mozzarella patty in the middle and would definitely recommend it. The chilli cheese fries are disappointing. On the downside, seems like their burgers are getting more and more greasy.

I always love going to Burger's Priest when I'm in Toronto so was super happy when I found the Edmonton location. I always keep it pretty simple, Bacon Double Cheeseburger with only ketchup. Never disappoints. Will continue to hit this up whenever I'm craving a burger!

I am very picky when it comes to burgers and I'm not easily pleased with them. The burger priest however was amazing. I have nothing bad to say about the food. It was fresh and delicious and full of flavour. The girl at the front desk however was quite unprofessional and was wearing a see through shirt and was not the most polite. So the only marks taken away were from the service.

We happened to be downtown and saw the blinky lights we thought...why not try? I ordered a regular cheeseburger and the girl asked me the toppings i paused and then she sighed and said the list is right there. I felt like an idiot. I then asked about the cream soda and she put it down as a regular soda. My husband ordered double cheeseburger and fries. <br/>I went to the counter to ask about the cream soda and the girl ignored me. Then this man came in and stared at me. .. Aannd stared. Awkward! Finally he tells the girl to serve me. She rushed to the till and asked what I wanted. . i asked about our beverages and she said oh oops. I guess you will have the soda huh?<br/>So now.. Our order came. <br/><br/><br/>And...<br/><br/>It was nothing special. Blend. Overcooked. Tasteless.

The Burger Priest must have had some old chicken burgers drifting around in the back of their fryer because I found myself face to face with a pretty sorry piece of chicken, absolutely drenched in buffalo sauce and covered with what appeared to be sliced cherry tomatoes and wilted lettuce. <br/><br/>This restaurant charges a premium rate for a below mediocre burger experience. Don't be fooled by the flash of it... Your better off hitting a different joint if you want a good burger.

Second Visit - September 16, 2016<br/><br/>Service: Quick and sufficient, nothing special.<br/><br/>Appearance: Counters and floors need to be cleaned, very important to have staff to clean even when busy.<br/><br/>Food:<br/>The Red Sea: Cheeseburger with chili on top, and all the toppings, it was like eating a sloppy joe that is firm. The chili did not have a whole lot of flavor and definitely needed more spice. Last time I tried this I only had a bite or two and I liked it, so this time I ordered it, but was disappointed...was quite plain tasting.<br/><br/>Chocolate Mint Shake: Not bad, but nothing special and over priced for the amount I got.<br/>French Fries: Good and tasty and salted properly.<br/><br/>Go Again: Possibly, but not anytime soon.<br/><br/>First Visit:<br/><br/> Service: Typical fast food service, brisk and not overly friendly.<br/><br/>Appearance: The place did need to be cleaned, food on the floor and the tables also were not clean. Not the most comfortable place to eat, this place seems stark and hard.<br/><br/>Food:<br/><br/>The Token:  Buffalo chicken, blue cheese, tomato and lettuce, this turned out to be pretty tasty, it did NOT look pretty, but it tasted good, I  liked it.<br/><br/>The Red Sea: Cheeseburger with chili on top is good, it had flavour, like a hot dog with chili, but it was a hamburger with chili, kinda like chili with extra beef in it.<br/><br/>French Fries: The fries are not the best, a bit greasy and soggy and not much flavour.<br/><br/>Go Again: Yes

No bad but not great. It's okay burger. Not great survice. Fresh burger but little bit greecy. price was not cheap. I'd rather go somewhere else.

Why is everyone who works here so grumpy?!? I mean the food is delicious but everyone's attitudes could use some improvement. Also I'm not sure how I feed about someone in the food service industry preparing my food while wearing a crop top...gross

I went here before the Death Cab for Cutie show. It was 5:30 when we got there and no one was there, which I found odd. The high priest is extremely close to In N' Out's animal style burger which is my favorite anywhere. The fries are large portions and they have a huge cooler full of unique canned beverages. My only qualm would be that there is no place to put ketchup. I ended up ripping my bag up, if they had little cups that would be perfect.
Ah
Service is very bad, like extremely bad. The girl at the cash was grumpy as hell. There wasn't a line or anything but she was expecting us to just know the menu and topping board off my heart; so while we were looking at the topping board she huffed and rushed us. Don't get me wrong- I get it, part time job, who cares. But still, the girls there were more worried about finishing their gossip rant than actually serving.<br/>Wait time for us was about fifteen minutes.<br/>On to the food, we got the double cheese burger, the denial and an order of fries.<br/>It's pricey for a burger but once we actually got it- delicious.<br/>The double cheese burger was totally worth it. Juicy and meaty and not too greasy.<br/>Peter's Denial which consisted of buttermilk fried chicken, GRAVY AND sweet corn. So perfect. It has a little bit of a kick to it which made the taste so unique and mind blowing.<br/><br/>So is the burger worth going through the terrible service? Absolutely.

I finally got to try Burger's Priest after my friend mentioned it opened up a while back. The place was small but pretty clean for a fast food joint. I ordered the double cheeseburger and the chili fries to stay and eat with a couple of friends. The double cheeseburger was the best burger I've eaten in my life (and I've tried FatBurger, Rodeo Burger, McD, etc). It was honestly heaven in my mouth, although I'm not sure how much hunger played a factor in this. On the other hand, the chili fries were really disappointing. The sauce just overpowered the fries and they didn't taste very good. If they had fries that were like Mcdonald's fries, that would be like 110%.<br/><br/>I would definitely go again for burgers, but probably wouldn't get the fries next time. Highly recommend for burgers!

Service was awful, restaurant was dirty, tables were dirty too. Double cheeseburger was amazing!<br/>It literally makes me happy every single time. I am so addicted and will be back for sure. 10/10 <br/>Who needs good service? I just want a burger that makes me love life!

Once more into the much hyped restaurant experience I wade. Once more I was overwhelmed with...meh. <br/>The food here is OK but nothing I would race back to eat. I should mention that the staff were nice enough and gave me exactly what I aksed for. But for the price...well let's just say they shouldn't expect me back. <br/>We ordered a High Priest, a Single Magnum, a side of fries and two cans of pop. It cost $28<br/>That's a decent price if, IF, your burger has flavour, a good meat/bun ratio, and the "premium" toppings add value. The Burger's Priest fails at all three. The Magnum is touted as a Blue Cheese Bacon Burger. I always get my burgers with all the trimming - here they include lettuce, tomatoes, onion, ketchup, mustard, and mayo. The burger comes with bacon and blue cheese. Somehow, with all of those items the burger comes across as flavourless. The few sprinkles of blue cheese and the small piece of undercooked bacon do nothing to add a flavour profile to this burger. I actually added extra ketchup to the burger to give it some kind of flavour. The beef is a small fresh cooked patty - extremely reminiscent of a Shake Shack burger in the US. They flatten it on the grill which crisps it up but makes it dry. The bun is a small McDonald's-esque bun. The bun size works well with the small patty (FYI the website pictures are not even CLOSE) but the minute you add anything, holding it together becomes a chore. Again, oddly, with all of the things on my burger it didn't drip. That should speak volumes. A good burger oozes out its juices. As I mentioned the premium toppings were sparse and not worth adding for the miniscule amount there. Definitely not worth what they charge. <br/>The High Priest was more of the same and a young girl ate the whole thing (It's a double burger) plus half the fries and asked when supper was because she was still hungry. Jeepers. <br/>The fries were a sad joke. They had a great crisp to them but we had an entire bag of just the small leaving - the little pieces at the end of a bag. At that point I was so disappointed that I didn't even bother to try and exchange them for some actual fries. <br/>All in all if you feel like paying a premium price for a low end fast food burger then The Burger's Priest is for you. But if you actually like burgers I suggest you look elsewhere.<br/>

Not the best burger I've had in Edmonton, actually it's probably not even in the top 10. But it wasn't horrible and they are a good size for the price. <br/>But just not my taste, I do know a lot of people that I like it though I just expect more from my food I guess? <br/> <br/><br/>*****Update 2018 I am so disappointing in my past self for not seeing the beauty of this restaurant. THIS IS THE BEST BURGER PLACE ON THE PLANET. I can not stress enough of how this burger almost brought me to tears. Double smoked burger with Jages, this needs to be had at least once in your life time. their secret menu is something I never imagined in my dreams. Please forgive me burger priest for I have sinned!

This is a burger franchise out of Toronto.  The owner was originally going to become a Priest, but that didn't work out for him, so he went to something that he loved to do - making burgers.<br/><br/>The restaurant is filled with religious imagery throughout.  The bible verses on the wall, the offering plate where you leave your tips, the walls that are made to look like confessionals... Great stuff!<br/><br/>I had a hard time seeing the menu.  I am short and the way they had the lights focused on it, the glare at my height made everything hard to see. I was finally able to pick out what I wanted.<br/><br/>This was our first time here.  The server asked if this was our first time here and when we nodded "yes", didn't bother to explain the menu to us or really be welcoming.  There are no uniforms here and the staff is very laid back looking, almost sloppy.<br/><br/>After you order your food, you get assigned a number and someone will call your name when your food is ready.  It is SUPER loud there.  Almost painful.  It must be off to a good start because it was hard to find a place to sit.  <br/><br/>We found out after we sat down that the "Tower of Babel" burger is part of their "secret menu".  I have no idea where to get information on that for you!<br/><br/>My name was called.  We had ordered milkshakes, so apparently they come with your burgers.  I literally had to stand on my tippy toes to be able to see/speak with the cook that was handing me my food.  The place is super challenging for a short person.  I can't imagine a child or a disabled person trying to function there.<br/><br/>The burgers were good.  No complaints there.  They compare with some of the better burger joints here in Edmonton.  The fries were nothing to write home about.  They came unsalted and tasted like they had been soaked in sugar water before they were fried.  Not my favorite.  <br/><br/>The food was good.  Was it good enough to go back?? Probably not.

Have been a few times.  Not bad but not great.  The burger itself is not the best but I have to admit that their burger buns are really amazing.  The place itself is also extremely clean for a burger joint.
Orlando Costa
The Burger and Fries are great tried it out on the 26 of October at 1 in the afternoon. Place was relatively busy looked clean. The only complaint would be the girl at the cash register not friendly at all.

Burger. Pretty good...but certainly not heavenly.<br/>Service. A little on the rude side.<br/>Fries. Well...they looked much better than they tasted.<br/>California Classic Single. Fresh. Juicy. Well seasoned. ~$8.00. Really enjoyed this burger.<br/>Service. Seemed a litle annoyed I didn't know the process. When they call your number, a woman yells from behind a counter that's franky as tall as I am. Then she turns away. Then she calls again. I don't recall seeing any of the usual "order here" and "pick up here" signage. I'm also pretty sure that having to tell me that they only sold cans of pop was troublesome for her. <br/>Chilli Cheese fries. Looked so very good. Tasted...unfortunately less than amazing. Overall....<br/>I would certainly like to try more offerings from their burger lineup...<br/>But I will never again go out of my way to eat here.

I must say that overall I was very disappointed with the Burger Priest.  I wanted to try the Priest out for the longest time and finally caved to my desires and went for lunch on Friday.  First the place is very clean and modern and this was a very good start.  The prices are very steep for what they serve.  Next, the food, this was the disappointing part.  As a burger joint I would expect their burgers to be great, but sadly they were not.  The bread was great but that is pretty much it.  The meat was dry and the fries were terrible.
I Eat When Im Bored
The burgers Priest is another one of those burger restaurants that is above your regular fast food burgers both in price and taste. I myself love burgers done up this way and was very excited to try it. I cant complain on the taste of the food at all, I finished my burger very fast, which leads me to believe I quite enjoyed it. The restaurant however I found to be quite small and difficult to get a seat at especially around lunch. Its definitely worth a try but do yourself a favor and avoid the lunch hour rush.

How is a great burger defined?  Quality of meat?  Quantity of meat?  Flame-broiled or fried?  Taste?  Lots of seasonings?  Very little seasonings?  The bun?  The condiments?  I've read so much about this place and I knew I had to try it.  My burger was the Pope (from the Secret Menu) which is two beef patties with a veggie patty (this is known as the Option which is two portobello mushrooms with a slice of cheese and then it's breaded and deep-fried) and I also had an order of fries and a canned pop.  I honestly cannot say this is the best burger I've ever tasted but I also cannot say it's the worst burger I've tasted.  It was a burger and it served its purpose, it sated my hunger.  I enjoyed the burger for what it was and nothing more.  The bun wasn't toasted and I, in all honesty, prefer it toasted.  The beef patties were simply seasoned and they are not as thick as some other brands' patties and the fries were nice and crisp and very flavourful and salted (not sure if sea salt and not sure if the fries are fresh-cut on premises or are the frozen variety).  Ambience was clean and simple and brightly lit and offers a nice view of bustling Jasper Avenue.  I most likely will return again for another burger but . . . as I've said, it's really nothing special, it's just another burger although it is better than some others out there, just not the best, that's all but, then again, we all have our preferences.

Let me preface this by saying I love burgers. I’m not picky when it comes to them either. Just ketchup and mustard? Sounds good. Arugula and Goat Cheese? Sure. If it is two pieces of bread with a patty somewhere in the middle, chances are I’m going to like it. So, without much ceremony let me say, I enjoyed the burger at the Burger’s Priest. There is a however, and that is the price.<br/><br/>So, I went to Burger’s Priest after hearing many good things. I had heard around lunch the place could be a zoo, so I had a day where time wasn’t an issue so I went early. The place has been well decorated, little clerical touches all over the place help remind you of the theme. <br/><br/>Two things stood out to me on the menu. One was something called “The Option”. Cheese sandwiched between two portabella mushrooms and deep fried. Well, that’s going in my belly. The second was “Smoke” which was deep fried jalapenos. I love some spice, so I decided to go big. I got a cheeseburger with bacon, the option and smoke. Toss in a side of fries and a shake and we’re good to go.<br/><br/>Almost. Sticker shock kicks in at this point. I’m an order what I want and worry about the cost later type of guy. However, this is the big however, my lunch cost almost twenty dollars. For a counter service burger that is a tough nut to swallow. Like, Walnut in the shell tough. <br/><br/>Price aside, I really enjoyed the burger. The “Option” is fantastic, worth every extra cent. Burger Priest stands out as they use a very loose packed patty cooked on a flat top griddle keeping it extremely moist. The fries were alright, well-seasoned but lacking the crispness that I enjoy in a fry. <br/><br/>The menu is simplistic, and I mean that in a positive way. They’ve gone basic, the burger is your building block, plus some fixings. They’ve got a couple burgers pre built, but to really understand Burger Priest it’s worth seeking out their secret menu. That is where the creativity lives, with monstrosities such “The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse” which is a double cheeseburger with two “options” on top. Oh, and they switch out the buns for grilled cheeses sandwiches.<br/><br/>End of the day, I’ll be back. Not often, as it is an expensive lunch and not really a place for supper. But I’m sure I’ll find myself darkening the door again, looking to find salvation in a burger.<br/><br/>Read more at EatingEdmonton.com

I order this for delivery and it was hands down the best burger I've ever had. I ordered a double cheeseburger and added the fried jalapeños and a side of chilli cheese fries and oh man! First of all, the burgers were juicy and delicious, and they tasted like they were made in house. The special sauce was all kinds of delicious. The bun was soft and I highly recommend adding the jalapeños! Seriously so good that I took 3 minutes to write a review about it...

Based on price alone, this place rates a 5/5....a decent variety of selections, i had a fried chicken burger with gravy & corn, very much a multi-knapkin operation, but also worth the effort, there was no option on the fixins as there are with all others, there was NO mayo on this chicken burger, which goes against every rule, however, i will say with this one it wasn't necessary, mrs. bubbasezso had the veggie burger (cheese stuffed portobello mushrooms_), it was tasty as well....we shared a french fry.....i also noticed (although its not published anywhere) that one could, if one desired have one's burger lettuce wrapped.....Yeah.. I'd do that again!!!

Finally got the chance to try Burger Priest after hearing the good and the bad and it's pretty good in my opinion. Yeah the wait time after ordering can be a little long but you can admire the decor while waiting. I got their double magnum burger with bleu cheese. The burger is very tasty with nice juicy patties. The bun itself tastes good but is on the fragile side. Mine fell apart halfway through my burger but it is what it is. My girlfriend opted for the classic double cheeseburger and she throughly enjoyed it. Their chili cheese fries is a nice accompaniment to their burgers. I'll be back for sure to try their other burgers.

I went in with rock bottom expectations because of the things I've heard from my friends or what's written here.  So my review might seem a little bit more jolly or lenient.  <br/><br/>Starting with the atmosphere, it's a little dirty but it is down-to-earth nice in a way.  I went in here after a few drinks so this was a god send to me.  I love eating greasy food in dirty places like Steel Wheels after drinks.  Everything is just that much more fun.  <br/><br/>I paid $10 for this burger (I forgot, sorry, drunk) and it had double patties (Double Cheese Burger?).  It was pretty darn small for $10 but it had double juicy patties that I am still dreaming about right now.  Perhaps after another night out drinking - when I don't care about the price and just want to eat something quick and unhealthy.  <br/><br/>The service was excellent from the burger chef himself.  So energetic and positive and happy.  It made my day.  Really.  I think that added to the burger's awesomeness knowing that a jerk didn't make it unhappily or unwillingly (like some other burger places...heh).  The patty was never frozen... It was super fresh and it blew my mind.  I can almost distinguish between a fresh / frozen patty now... yay!  The fries were pretty good but not that seasoned.  It was seemingly fresh cut so the flavours were all there.  <br/><br/>Should you come check it out?  I'd recommend it if you can ignore the bang-for-your-buck factor or if you are drunk and don't care about the price tags and portions.  Otherwise - not a satisfying place to have a sobering lunch on a weekday.  Nope!

Haven't blogged for a while, but there hasn't been much to write about lately on the food scene in Edmonton. Until recently that is. A new restaurant opened up downtown called The Burger's Priest and my hubby and I decided to check it out. It originated in Ontario and this is the first expansion to the west side of the country. It's located in the corner area of 109 st and Jasper Ave.

Fiery Furnace (Double Bacon Cheeseburger with chopped cherry peppers)<br/><br/>Still reigning champ in the #yeg is Burger's Priest. This Is the millionth time I've been here and tried their newest burger, the fiery furnace. It ain't as spicy as I wanted but it still is such a bomb burger. A good drink pairing is a milkshake cause if you ain't full after the burger, you will be after the shake. It's a little pricy, but if you compare to any fast food place and value a great burger than a mediocre burger for a couple more bucks, then go here.<br/><br/>Located downtown right on the corner of Jasper and 109 St, it's a cool spot. Enough seating for the lunch rush and they also have a patio during the summer. <br/>Sal says: Just eat it<br/>@jlsigs_nab says: the addition of the cherry pepper mixed well with the burgers priest Patty.<br/>@adubalicious says: One line won't properly describe the sand which.<br/><br/>#yeg #food #foodie #squad #delicious #foodporn #yummy #instafood #lunch #burger

The restaurant is clean, classic, and busy. However, the burgers have a 'McDonalds Effect' where the photos of the food are WAY more appetizing than what you receive. My burger (Pope) was a big pile of sloppy ingredients, but I should say the 'Option' element is delicious. Skip the fries and shakes, they're '5 Guys Burgers' quality-- which you can get anywhere for cheap. May go back to try a different burger, but I'm not in a rush to do so.
Iris101
If you're expecting a cheap burger joint, I suggest you go somewhere else because this place will disappoint you. I however, was not looking for something cheap when I went to The Burger's Priest. No, I wanted something well done with great quality, never mind the price. The place and setting are clean and classy. The service is great but the burgers (I went twice) were not very distinguished. I liked that the beef was clean tasting and non greasy. They made it fresh for us. Unfortunately the burger's taste gets lost in the abundance of cheese and sauce. ). An aspect I was not a fan of. Their chilli fries however were quiet disgusting (to say it nicely. So no Burger's Priest for me, but hey, I tried.
RickyRocket
Yah, I got the blue cheeseburger combo with fries, it came to $ 18.99.....what the, I'm thinking this better be good, and NOPE, smallish, the bacon was skimpy, lack of flavour, beware of this place, but if you are going to go try it, bring your wallet and lower your expectations, so many much better places to fill the burger craving.
Klyn
Just found my favorite burger of all time. Got the Noah's Ark, the Option with chili & cheese. I've never had a portobello burger before but being that it's stuffed with cheese, breaded, and deep fried, I wasn't worried. It even had a tiny bit of spice to it, which was great! Super expensive for a burger place, especially being that it's very casual, and you don't get served, but totally worth trying something new.
Samantha Tipper
I will give them credit for the flavour being on point but for me the price you pay and the size of the product you receive doesn't impress me. I had my burger lettuce wrapped and it was small pieces of lettuce, and dripping in so much grease. My husbands main complaint was how tiny the patties on his were and that they were drowned out by bun. <br/><br/>Would be willing to give them another chance but overall didn't live up to the hype.
The Lower Crust
The meat is really juicy and the patty isn’t a compressed mess that’s been hastily fried and hurried along by the weight of a greasy dude at the end of a spatula. It’s got room to breath, and the texture is lighter and excellent. It’s just a nice basic burger that really lets the natural flavours though and doesn’t hide it all under a coating of seasoning salt and condiments. The toppings where also solid, with nice bacon that wasn’t an overcooked mess, veggies that felt like they hadn’t been sitting in a cold tray for hours, and a pair for fluffy white buns for them to sail in on.
Dafne
The Burger's Priest is way overpriced, but the burgers are quite good. The bun is nice and soft, lightly toasted and spread with condiment(s) of your choice. The patties are poorly seasoned - or rather, they're seasoned, but the overall flavour profile isn't that pleasant - but the meat is cooked through, it's nice and tender, and some edges are crispy for good texture. The cheese is superbly melty and their Options - the name for a cheese-stuffed deep-fried portobello mushroom - are sensational. Bite into this greasy, fat disc of breaded cheese. And when I say "stuffed", I don't mean a cube of cheddar is just sitting in the middle. It's so stuffed that it practically bursts and oozes cheese. <br/><br/>I had Judgment Day, off the secret menu, and a side of fries. The fries are pretty lacklustre, but every so often you get a crispy chip of a fry and it's fantastic. Just that burger and fries set me back about $25, so you can get a sense of how ridiculous the prices are. The secret menu items are definitely more outlandish, though, because the regular menu ranges from about $7-12. As far as I know, the most expensive secret menu option is the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, which I believe starts at $25. <br/><br/>I noticed that they sold chocolate chip cookies and milkshakes as well, and also a grilled cheese ice cream sandwich. I think I'll be back in the future, but only as a treat.

Nice addition to the downtown options for a solid lunch/dinner. I have no idea why the price is such an issue for people, its exactly on par with every other well-made burger place in town (SodaJerks, delux, relish, red robins, etc.....) and the product is great. You can dine for two at mcds for $20 or take the huge $10 leap and dine for $30, for us it got us a double-bacon cheeseburger, a regular cheeseburger, 2 amaaaaazing shakes, and a shared fries. I couldn't even finish. The shakes are up on my top 5 for the city, creamy and delicious. Would go here just for that.
Melanie
I had a cheeseburger and fries. The burger patties are juicy and well seasoned. However, for the price of the burger I expected real cheese instead of plastic-y processed crap. Very disappointing. That surprise ruined the burger for me. The fries were decent but nothing amazing. <br/><br/>It's an interesting concept, and I will be going back to try the "Option" at some point. However, based on the price and middling quality, I probably won't recommend this place to others.
Carlie Savannah Sim
I really enjoyed my veggie burger, The Option. It was deep fried, but very tasty. The fries were pretty good too. Great service and atmosphere. I'll definitely be back.
Dani B
The worst burgers I've ever had! It's gross. The most greasy burgers with no flavour at all. I've tried 3 different burgers from there (including the chicken) and I am yet to actually finish one. The California Classic tasted like they just deep fried the bun too. Been there with guys who can eat just about anything and they couldn't get through one of these burgers. Even the fries aren't great, how do you mess up fries!?! On the bright side, it looks nice. I like the interior, clean and bright, cool concept. They might want to work on the ordering system, staff screaming people's names and having to tell people to drop off their numbers doesn't seem like the most efficient way to me. I will not be back!

My friend from Toronto recommended this place if you have burger cravings. At first I thought all burgers were just burgers but this place made me realize how good a simple cheeseburger can be. They are truly redeeming one burger at a time.
Jamie K. Cheung
Not as good as Shake shack! But consider a good burger place in Edmonton! Nice burger, fries needs improvement! Milkshake was perfect! 😋😋😋
S
Pretty good burgers, but a little pricey. For 4 people it was around $70, and 2 of the 4 burgers were just simple cheeseburgers. The beef was well seasoned and tasty. The secret menu online has some crazy burgers. My bf tried Judgement Day and he loved it.
Sonny Mai
Definitely a great place to go for a big, juicy, messy, cheesy burger. I had "The Pope" from their 'secret' menu and it was amazing, over the top in a good way, they don't try to be fancy with the bun or toppings, just a great patty and simple toppings (how a burger should be). Nice location with fairly fast service when it isn't too busy.
Snacker
Pretty expensive burgers with fancy names. The flavours aren't bad but for the price it's as expected. Cool spot to check out but not worth it to go back.
Jessetherrien
I've been here a few times now. Every time it's been fast service, hot food and a great atmosphere. The only thing that bugs me is how short the fries are.
Nomnomnom
I don't know if I have it in me to ever finish the Four Horsemen of the Apocalyse burger tower - 3 cheese topped beef patties and 2 "options".. it would take a very hungry person with lots of tummy room to polish off that behemoth! I think it took me 370 days to get out of my food coma after finishing the Judgement Day. Next time I think I'll just get an "option" or two... I think I'm in love with the ooey gooey cheesiness of the stuffed portabello mushrooms. Burger's Priest, you're my kind of religion!
Annabrown1983
Amazeballs!!!!. The food is spectacular! Fresh ingredients, awesome toppings, and amazing desserts!! You gotta eat here!
Bayleybayley
You have to try it!!!. The BEST Burgers and Milkshakes in the City without a doubt!!! More food than one person could possibly eat in one sitting. DELICIOUS!!!
Barnfeline
Riggs and Murtagh shake is worth the pain and suffering of lactose intolerance. The burgers are decent, as are the chilli cheese fries. Not out of this world amazing, but still a good addition to downtown.
Foodjunkie
Good burgers a little over priced. I ordered the California Express burger and it was actually really good. The fries could be better but were hand cut. My total came out to a little more than $15.00 which I thought was a little expensive for a quick in and out burger place; however the food was good.
Hoa.ly.email
Overpriced carnival food. It was delicious, but not worth the price. Like a chipwagon with The Keg prices. All food are takeout; no clean way of eating or dipping your fries. I'll look for the chipwagon next time.

...this place better be better than good.. Decided to check out this burger joint with a couple of friends.<br/><br/>First impressions upon entering was this joint ain't nothing special, typical fast food op. You basically place an order at the cashier, grab a seat and eat. Ever been to Macdonalds, A & W, Harveys? Same deal with one exception.<br/>While I placed my order noticed a "Tip bowl" hmm, paid with interact asking if I would include tip in payment, double hmm.<br/>The cost of 3 "High Priest" burgers, fries, 2 water, and 1 diet pepsi came out to a few pennies shy of 50 bucks. Seriously! And ya want a tip on top of that? The only thing that crossed my mind then was that this place better be better than good.<br/><br/>Anyways, I personally went for the "loaded" set up which should had included a double patty, double cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickle, onions, ketchup, relish, mustard and mayo. Yes I know, I'm trying to give myself a cardiac arrest, but hey, I'm in the mood.<br/><br/>Placed the order got a numbered card, grabbed a seat, a don't call us we'll call you.<br/>In timely fashion we received our order. Just couldn't wait to reach into that brown paper bag, and dig into that wax paper wrapped beauty. We're going in.<br/><br/>Cut to the chase. Tasteless two thin pressed hamburger patties, they must of sat on a George Foreman to cook these things, 2 slices of processed velveta cheese on a standard Mcgavin white soggy low budget burger bun, one ultra sliced one inch in diameter pickle, sprinkling of shredded lettuce, but no tomato, no onions, no ketchup, no relish, no mustard. Ooops.<br/><br/>Fries? Substandard in my opinion, majority of the pieces were overcooked and approximately 2 inches long.<br/><br/>Standard drinks such as bottled water and canned drinks are self serve, grab from the cooler and pay at the cash, nothing notable here. <br/>Praise the Lord if you like but no praise for these burgers. No way this place is better than good.

Burgers are good, but not good enough for the price you pay.. I decided to try this place to see what it was like, as I remembered this location being used by that ministry of crazy people who stand at corners downtown and preach about how we're all going to hell unless we repent. I ordered a double cheeseburger (with all the fixings except for mayo) and fries.<br/><br/>The burger was pretty good, and the fries were also fairly well-made. However, I didn't find the food good enough to justify paying $14. If a burger is going to cost that much, there should be something unique about it, or at the very least it should be one of the tastiest burgers ever made. As it is, I wouldn't put this burger over a Papa or Mozza burger at a local A&W, not to mention I'd pay less to get a combo that included either of those burgers (likely even if I took onion rings over the fries).<br/><br/>If money is of absolutely no concern to you at all (re: you like to light your cigarettes with $100 bills just for the laughs), then this place isn't a bad one in which to eat. Everyone else should steer clear and go to the Harvey's up the road on 109 St if you want a burger and fries that are decent without breaking your wallet in half.

Pray For Something Better. First off I gotta say any burger joint that isn't a main fast food franchise (i.e. McDonald's, Wendy's, Burger King etc) That uses Processed Cheese on their burgers is already a let down. The burger itself was bland. I walked in and could smell grilled meet and had hopes for it. Then I bit into it and there was nothing there. Tried the Fries. Also very bland. This is the type of place that needs to offer packets of hot sauce with their food. Or better yet. Put some flavor in it. This was really disappointing for me because it was a rather long wait to get my burger<br/><br/>All in all. its not BAD. But I'd be switching religions if this was my priest.

Double Cheeseburger. Incredibly fresh and delicious!
DT
Blech. Dripping in grease, processed cheese, expensive, and dirty. Average at best.
Sheila
Meh is right. Average at best. Burger was so greasy it made my bun soggy which is just gross...chilli cheese fries average. Limited selection of toppings. Five Guys has them beat in my opinion, far superior burgers and fries
Allan Mott
Amazing. Have no clue what the folks complaining about tasteless burgers are talking about. One bite into my Double Magnum and I knew without a doubt it was the richest and most flavourful burger I've had in this city. The fries weren't quite as extraordinary, but they were done exactly how I like them. I suppose there's no accounting for taste, but one burger in and I'm sold. Nothing else I've had in Edmonton even comes close.
Food Lova
A little overhyped but overall I was so happy with my experience! I ordered the cali and it was marvelous. Fries are just as good and the strawberry shake is soooo good. I had a minor mishap with my burger and the man behind the counter was soo helpful. I even got a free cookie :) Counter service is awesome and I just love this place.
Kimmy
Meh!. First of all, they need a worker dedicated to keeping the customer areas clean. When we came in, there were fries all over the floor and tables were greasy. I cleaned our table and ketchup bottle with paper towel from the mens washroom because there was none in the ladies. Washrooms had toilet paper on the floor and smelled like stale urine. The decor is classy yet casual. Loved the atmosphere. The burgers have no flavour, just ground and fried. Very greasy. Small cheap napkins don't do the trick. The buns are fresh and chewy tasty. The fresh toppings superb. The fries are end bits and a disappointment.Burgers are over the top pricey. A burger is a burger. I've had as much enjoyment from a Whopper. The draw is the name, which was genius. Best part of our meal was our guests. All 4 of us agree we won't be back. Phat and 5Guys are better and a little more reasonably priced.

Cardboard Chapel Burger. All hype, no saving grace. <br/><br/>Tried this place with a friend after hearing about it and seeing various positive reviews. Grossly disappointed by Burger's Priest. The High Priest Burger had no hint of seasoning or flavor outside of wet cardboard. Whatever cheese or sauce they put on the burger did not add to the cardboard flavor of the beef patties. The saving grace of this burger was the heavenly lettuce that was crisp with watery goodness.<br/><br/>For an overpriced home made burger, the serving size was puny in comparison to BJ , Five Guys, Fat Burger ect ect. <br/>At best, this is a $2 burger as a Teen Burger at A&W is a bigger burger, contains seasoning, bacon & FLAVOR at no extra charge!
Chrispy Lehto
Very impressed. Both the gentleman who took my order and the fella who handed Otto member the counter were very nice and chatty, great counter service. I had the California burger, quite a lot like a traditional patty melt flavor wise and absolutely delicious. Chili cheese fries were good, not great but good. Chocolate shake was fabulous. Now I'm off to the gym to work it all off! All I all great experience, good service and tasty food!
Iheart_hyst3ria
Haters gonna hate. This place is incredible. The fries are amazing, the float was to be as expected...awesome. And as for the burgers, INCREDIBLE! I had the Cailfornia burger and i was shocked at how good the buttered bun and the secret sauce was! The burger was the perfect size and i was very content when i left. The whole play on biblical terms is quite entertaining as well and a great little gimmick.<br/>Thumbs up to this place!
BananaRocket
YAHBJ = Yet Another Hip Burger Joint<br/><br/>Very similar to Five Guys but classier and with a tongue and cheek biblical twist (somewhat tacky and pointless gimmick)<br/><br/>Burgers are solid. They are fresh and tasty, the meat is not greasy but not dry, the bun is tender but stays together. <br/><br/>Potions are a bit on the small side compared with the competition, one the other hand, if your looking for a more moderate potion at a moderate price, this really works out for you.<br/><br/>The chicken burger was a mess with the corn and gravy but it was pretty good.<br/><br/>Minor comment, our fries where mostly the end bits. while i like the crunchy end bits, it was too much of a good thing.<br/><br/>While the food is good, I suspect the success has a lot to do with the location prominently on the corner of Jasper and 109th.<br/><br/>My 2 cents, Just because the patty is fresh, not frozen dose not make it better. What matters is the balance of meat, fat and seasoning in the recipe. I find really lean burgers are best frozen because the cold core is less likely to over cook and dry out.

Order. We went today at 11:45 a.m. placed an order for 1 cheeseburger combo and 1 bleu cheese combo with all the trimmings except for tomatoes. When we took a bite neither one had all the trimming the basic, no extra toppings. My friend took hers to the counter and all they said was sorry - didn't offer to at least give us the fixings to put on ourself. I was going to ask to speak to the manager but there were so many customers in line you couldn't get near the counter. The Fries were excellent.
Sportyty
Nothing Special. For the three of us...$50.00 dollars for 3 burgers/fries/small skake...Not the best burger i have had!!! Will not come back.
Korean Magic
Not worth the time, money, or calories. I went there today with high hopes. I had heard a ton of hype, but in reality hype is all this place is. I ordered the High Priest Burger and it's a glorified Big Mac. Two patties, lettuce, two lousy small pickles, PROCESSED cheese and some sauce that had zero flavor. The beef was better than most fast food, but that didn't really make up for much. Additionally the burger was extremely greasy. I won't go back and I suggest you don't either. If you are looking for a "better burger" try elsewhere.
Francis
Great food. Not greasy
Rlu81
Nothing too exciting!. So after reading some reviews and hearing people raving about how amazing this place, I have decided to give it a try. I didn't order any of the fancy burgers. I went with the bacon double cheeseburger with fries and a shake. I didn't want to try the other types of burgers as I wanted to see how the beef patties tasted without the other flavor interfering with the taste. The burger was good. You can tell that the beef patties are prepared fresh with fresh toppings. Fries were good too, but I think there is too much fries. The shake I got was so good!<br/><br/>It's a nice small burger place, however when you sit and eat and see others waiting for a table and wating for their orders, I felt really rushed to eat and to get out of there as fast as I can. I know it's not your typical sit, eat and converse with your friends for as long as you want, but you get some people just eyeing at you trying to tell you they want a table. The idea of calling your name and number system is cool, but it is so hard to hear your name and number with the loud music playing and with everyone talking. Anyways, I think you can get just as good of a burger elsewhere for a cheaper price. I think this place is overpriced once you upgrade to a meal compared to other burger places. Next time if I crave a burger, would I rush and go out of my way and go here, probably not.
Troy Yacie
Great burgers. Amazing milkshakes but for the love of Pete get bigger straws.
Canelamaia
Don't think they deserve some of the negative comments. Excellent fresh, lean, pure burger and fries. Not like many in the city where you feel sick after eating it! Quick service and tons of fries. Will have to try shakes next time.

Half-decent little burger bar. The tag line for this popular chain out of Toronto is "redeeming the burger one at a time". I don't know if I would go that far, the Burger's priest certainly doesn't bring salvation to a bleak and sinful burger wasteland, but the burgers are a fine treat none the less. The atmosphere is nice enough, they manage to go with a lot of whites and tile without getting that gross hospital feel, but does anyone else thing they missed out on a great opportunity to model the space after the inside of a church? next up lets talk prices. I see a lot of people bemoaning the cost of food here, is it over priced? well... yeah? I guess so? But compare it to analogous burger bar chain; five guys, and its only more costly by a buck or two but infinitely better in my humble opinion. Something I really appreciate is that they don't just bring the same basic burger to you, you know the one; ground meat, fixin's, bun and done. That type of place is ok and all but Burger's priest plays with the burger formula just enough that it doesn't fall in with the also-rans. It's the little differences that make burgers priest distinguishable like throwing the burger in a grilled cheese Sammy or a burger with chili on top. Not ground-breaking stuff to be sure, but its a nice touch that makes some of their flaws more forgivable. What flaws you might ask? Well there are some quality quibbles. Like the fact that the burgers are too greasy and drippy, or that they are served up with craft singles as the cheese (which should really count more as a plastic product than food). Oh, and while the burgers were just ok, the fries and the shakes were great! aside from that the fries were all little nubs they were crisp and delish', and the shake tasted like a regular choco shake and an oreo blizzard had a love child. Very nice.<br/>Worth checking out. Not the best burger out there, but I for one found it to be quite alright.
Gethealthynow
Nothing special. I am not sure what all the fuss is about but I did not find either the food or the service anything special. The service is slow and disorganized and I did not find the staff overly friendly. The food was nothing special, in fact I found it really had not flavor. A little salt and pepper couldn't hurt. With all the new burger places that have opened in Edmonton in the past year these guys really need to make some changes if they hope to compete and stay open.
Brendaluong
Pricy and Mediocre. I originally had high expectations but after seeing the rating, I didn't want to get my hopes up. Upon arriving, ten minutes after opening, I was already left waiting in a line and as I was eating the line had continued to go out the door with all seats in the house filled. The names of the burgers are creative and easy to remember. <br/><br/>The food itself though? Nothing special. It was good, I'll give it that. The food came out hot and still decently cared for despite the perpetual rush of customers. My complaint is that for the extremely high prices you pay and for how almost "crumbly" the burger patties seem to fall apart, I wouldn't go out of my way to come here. The fries were all these little short pieces and didn't taste so great as they lacked flavour. But, you do get a large portion of fries with the combo. <br/><br/>If you're on the fence about coming to try Burger's Priest I would still suggest it. The milkshakes are delicious, the perfect consistency that's thick but not too thick that you can't drink it from a straw, and they have some interesting burger buns that are worth trying. Overall, I'd come back but it's not worth the high prices and the crowded eating areas and the wait.
Rob_1981
I wanted to try this place, and am glad I did, but would probably not go back. I guess I just don't see what the fuss is about. I felt the same way about Shake Shack in NY, which they seem to have modeled themselves after. Basically you get a good burger for twice the price you would pay anywhere else. My high priest tasted like a Big Mac, but cost literally double. Sure, the meat tastes a bit better, but that's the only difference, and doesn't justify the price premium. <br/><br/>I think a chain like this would do better in places like Toronto where it's harder to get good beef. Our standards for beef are higher here, and I doubt many would be so easily impressed. To reiterate how expensive it was; two burgers, two shakes and one order of fries cost about $35.
Heather Hutchinson
Yummy, but over-priced. Delicious, fresh, basic burgers, shakes, and fries.<br/><br/>Over-priced, though.<br/><br/>Also, love the Catholic iconography.
Foodlover
It's in the same category as Five Guys, Fat Burger, and Smash Burger as far as price and quality. However I would say the burger here is delicious and better then the other places. The fries on the other hand were just ok. I would defiantly go again!!
Neechogan
Delicious, well-made hamburger.. I had the opportunity to go to The Burger's Priest on one of their training days before opening. I first learned about this burger joint coming to Edmonton 3 months ago and immediately did my research. I even watched the episode of "You Gotta Eat Here," that the small chain appeared in. To say I wasn't a little excited when I got selected to participate in their staff training would be an understatement. <br/><br/>The owner of The Burger's Priest makes no claims about his small chain being a gourmet hamburger joint. Its all about the "classic American hamburger." So, I went in not expecting gourmet but a well made, classic hamburger and The Burger's Priest didn't fail to deliver. <br/><br/>I had the "High Priest," a burger that pays homage to the flagship burger of a multinational fast food chain. When I sank my teeth into the HP I was immediately transported back in time to when I was a young lad in Ontario. I can still hear the gulls squawking at the beach near Scarborough Bluff while my step dad gave me my very first two all beef patties, with pickles, lettuce, and special sauce between two sesame seed buns. The "High Priest" is what that big chain hamburger used to be before all of the fillers and preservatives were added to the product, minus the sesame seed bun of course. This was a fresh, juicy, well-made, classic hamburger. Period. <br/><br/>The fries were like they were homemade. A little caramelized to add flavour and the serving size was HUGE. Add a little bit of vinegar and ketchup and you're in french fry nirvana. <br/><br/>The fact of the matter is that The Burger's Priest doesn't claim to be a gourmet burger joint. If you want gourmet, then go to a place like The Next Act. If you want a classic hamburger that is made really well...go to The Priest.
Jonas
Alright. Not bad fries aren't nearly as soggy as some of the other posts would lead you to believe. Burgers are ok would say Smash burger and five guys are still better burger joints but they still fry an ok burg, not really worth the price though. Although the buns remind me of cheap wonder bread store bought buns and the milkshakes are weak. But service was ok
Jason Campbell
5 out of 10. If I'm in the area and hungry, I'd probably go again. But there are WAY better burger places around (The Next Act, Downtown Diner). Patties are made in house it seemed. But they sure as hell didn't have much in the way of seasoning. Got a Bacon Double Cheeseburger for $10. Chocolate Shake for $4.50. Burger was average size I guess. Shake was a small (but good) where it's a large at other places for the same price. Fries were ok, but again, nothing to fawn over. <br/><br/>If this is the place that took Toronto by storm, I seriously doubt Toronto's taste in a solid burger. It's not bad. It's not a go to place either. Just kind of there and ok.
Chdt
Not that great. It's overpriced, paid around 8 bucks for a small burger that was okay, around 6 bucks for chili cheese fries that were dry. i wouldn't come here again.
Allaria
Gravely Disappointed. I was really looking forward to trying this place after all he hype and great reviews from Eastern Canada. However, I was gravely disappointed. The prices were high and the burger's were not all that great. the beef patties lacked flavour and tasted as if it was steamed. The portions were also quite small for what you pay for. The chili cheese fries were mediocre at best. Meh... I don't think I will go back here again.
C001
Delicious - recommend The Priest and HP. Been twice already, had The High Priest and The Priest as well as their fries. Yes, the dining area is simple and messy at times, because it's so busy. The burgers, which is what it's all about, were simply delicious. Tender and juicy, well put together. Would compare to Shake Shack in New York, but more modern, more gluttonous options and larger burgers. The High Priest is very similar to a Big Mac in composition, whereas the Priest has a single patty with an added "Option" which is their veggie burger but really more of a round breaded garlic cheese ball which added a delicious cheesiness to the burger. Fries were alright, though I found them a bit plain and they certainly needed a bit more salt - better than too much salt though!
Sparty_miso
Hallelujah!. I went there a day after opening, me and my girlfriend got a seat, although it was pretty packed, but not due to slow service, just volume of people. I loved everything about this place, great design cues and small details went over well like the mini crosses in the top of the menu to the type of wood choice used in them to suit the overall church type look! Awesome! The ordering was the style of what you'd see over in New York or Vancouver, having the order yelled out and replied back from the kitchen gave it a unique feel. Now getting to the food! The Burger I got was the Vatican city burger combo, the Burger was two grilled cheese sandwiches used as buns between a sinfully amazing display of meat and cheese that will bring out the prophet in you! My smaller girlfriend opted to get the smaller standard cheeseburger, which she loved as it was juicy and amazing, her comment was that she could really taste the meat, which with many burgers in and out (no pun) of town you taste what's there but not necessarily the beef itself stands out to be that noticeable or good. All in all if you feel like a meaty (no meat option available too!) great tasting mouth watering holy Godsend of a burger, than your path to salvation is here!
Cindy Orischuk
Although, if like to write a review of this restaurant I can't. There is absolutely nothing in there menu that would be safe for people with allergy issues. The decor is very nice, but if you are looking for a clean well kept place, don't visit during supper hour.
Sheila
Good, but doesn't quite live up to expectations.. I ordered the cheeseburger and fries, because if a place can't get a simple cheeseburger right they can't do the more elaborate items any better. The burger was just average, though with a slightly odd aftertaste. The fries were terrible, some sort of sweetish coating or something. I can't imagine I'd go again unless I was passing, and the insane lunch lines are most definitely not worth it. All in all, it was fine, but not amazing.
Crunchy Mouse
Food was tasty, service was great.

Craving good food. I had my first burger from burger priest and I have to say it is now one of my favorite burgers they definitely have mastered the art of a good juicy full flavored ground beef patty. No seasonings just the natural flavor of a good cut of meat. Thank you burger priest for not messing with perfection
Nickgalick
Lots of hype... Ordered the priest burger with fires and a California burger..Took a seat.. That place needs a set of curtains or drapes as the sun blasted into the dining area causing a very uncomfortable and hot place to sit.. Food was ready fast.. Was pretty excited from the hype of the burgers.. There was enough fries to split between 2 people..took a few bites of the fries and they were very bland.. They were cooked nice but bland.. And very stubby.. I don't know about you but I like my fries with some seasoning.. My burger was similar to a Big Mac in structure.. 3 buns 2 patties with secret sauce.. The patty was juicy but again not much flavor.. The flavor came from the sauces.. I'm a food puriest at heart but beef does need some seasoning.. Very bland beef patties.. The paties were juicy and decent in size and buns fresh.. I would love to see a burger joint use real cheese instead of gross processed cheese.... The California burger was wrong.. They gave us a cheese burger instead.. Line up was way to long to wait to let them know of the wrong Burger.. The garbage bins were overflowing with trash which was kind of nasty.. There is a pile of people working in the kitchen.. Maby they should have more staff working the floor.. We will not be going back as there are many other better Burger joints in Edmonton..
Kristina
