Review Five Guys - Edmonton

Daniel Simpson
Always a treat coming to 5 guys! Awesome fries and insane Burgers! Friendly quick staff... and also, don't forget to ask for peanuts!
THE CRAZEDMANG
Just had an amazing burger, with fast service inside a clean location. Super happy. Highly recommend! Five guys has never done me wrong.

Absolutely Delicious! Took my dad here for a taste of real burgers while he was here from BC, fries were beautifully fresh and perfectly salted, and my burger was perfectly done. Cant wait to come back again!

This is a burger joint. The standard burger, cheese burger or bacon cheeseburger are all double patties. If you cant handle that order a "little" version of it for a single. The burgers are custom made to order with your standard selection of condiments as well as some grilled options for onions and mushroom. The fries are awesome. Fresh made seasoned and plentiful. There's a sign in the store as to where the potatoes were farmed in alberta. A large fries is like half a bag full. So many. Fountain pop and milkshakes to drink. You can even get some peanuts to snack on while you wait. Lots of room for seating. The service was fast and friendly. What more can you ask for. 😀

Always a pleasure to come back to this great burger place. Ordered the bacon cheeseburger with all of the black toppings and large fries (shared them with my bro). The burger was delicious, juicy, packed with a nice patty and mushrooms, cheddar, lettuce, tomatoes, mayo, ketchup and mustard. The fries were delicious as well, not soggy at all. They offer you peanuts while you wait for your order. Love them as well, such a great idea to offer them to your customers for free.

I ordered ahead for lunch and it was great I waited 2 min watching them finish my order, and was finished exactly on the time I asked for it, burgers were great as always, fries were perfect, Staff is always friendly and very efficient.

Super friendly staff and a really clean food spot. Food is delicious and the unlimited peanuts are a nice touch. A good, quick, good quality burger option. Never tasted their hot dogs or shakes but I hear they're great.

Great burgers served by super friendly staff - I had the little burger and cajun fries, and a salted caramel shake, and everything tasted great!
Foodie
Great burger and fries with ample portions. Fresh juicy burger with great flavor. Free peanuts in the shell while you wait. Service was very good and friendly although I ordered my burger with no mayo and they missed on that note. Fixed the error right away and were very apologetic. A little pricey so will only be an occasional treat.

If this place had been a bit cheaper I'd give it a 4.0, but at the price I paid and the portion I was given and the really awesome taste of the burger, I can only rate it 3.5. First things first, this is a true American burger place. There's no gimmicks here. OK maybe the only gimmick, for which I am thankful, is the fact that I can grab a plate of peanuts for free (self-served) while I wait for my order. I don't know why you'd want peanut calories before some more calories but why not. Nice hospitality there. I guess that explains the high prices here. I am not going to go into the burger yet, and I want to say that the fries are pretty magnificent. It's real and it's fresh alright. Nice cuts too. The burger was juicy but it left you wanting for more, but you can't have more because you'd be losing our shirt off paying for it. I think I need to be intoxicated to a point where I stop being cheap and just give them my money so I can have a good time. Sounds like going to a gentleman's club :/ Anyways, come here if you are looking for an authentic burger and you don't mind paying near-restaurant prices for it :)

Over-priced but usually pretty tasty, it's probably my favorite Burger place past brand fast food but below restaurant quality. I've always enjoyed the burgers and always loved the fries, but I do find them a bit too Over-priced for what you get. A neat thing they do with the fries is fill up the fry cup, put it in the bag, then pour another scoop directly into the bag. I like signature stuff like that, if not something to remember it by.

One of my favourite burger places. Burgers at five guys never disappoint. Substantially better than any other fast food place and better than most sit down burger places too. Cajun fries are awesome (especially with 1/2 ketchup and 1/2 mayo mixed to dip). Burgers always taste fresh and the meat is good. Only thing I would change would be non processed cheese.
Ladyrose
Favorite place for a burger and I can it exactly they way I want. Little bacon cheese burger with peppers, mushrooms, onions, lettuce, tomatoes and hot sauce. Busy store has friendly staff that are doing a great job keeping the store tidy while it is really busy.

When I am at Lowes...I must admit this is often where I wind up.
Consistant quality in my experience regardless of which location you find yourself neer.
Not the best burger bar. Not the worst. Thanks to their franchising efforts...there always seems to be one not too far away!
One order of fries will feed several diners!
Ah
The Cajun fries are kind of amazing, so crispy and perfectly seasoned. Burger is standard. Service was quick, restaurant is clean. Worth driving all the way here for it? Probably not, I'd probably go a cross to ikea instead tbh.

Five guys offers a decent burger in a fun environment. The burger itself is by no means the best out there, imo I feel it needs more seasoning (salt/pepper). The fries are so-so, definitely a generous serving but not good enough that I want to finish them. The drink machine is fun with a larger variety than most establishments. I'm not a big peanut fan so that factor that people seem to be blown away by is not a value add for me. End the day I give it a 3.5/5 because while the burger is good, it's not worth the high price in comparison to other competitive burger joints. The high price point actually keeps me from coming here when I'm craving this type of fare.

Whenever I need a quick burger fix I will make the drive all the way to the south side for a burger. I always order the bacon cheeseburger, along with a order of Cajun fries. What I like most about their burgers is the consistency and how it's put together. It's a delight to unwrap the tinfoil to uncover your burger with some cheesy goodness stuck to the foil. The only thing I hate is the wait. Unless it's a really slow day, expect a 10+ minute wait for your food.

Yuck!

Bad store. The manager has a big attitude and my order wasn't even close to being perfect
Peter
Dunno what is going on here - I waited probably 25 minutes for a burger, fries and coke but the place is only half full. ?. This is the south Edmonton common location. Might be poorly run as compared to the other two. If it's s franchise, the operating procedures and staff need to be reviewed.

Lunch break change. We decided to try Five Guys Windermere instead of the ho hum Mac attack. Easy to follow short menu. No frills and you get exactly what you order. Atmosphere is a burger joint so leave your tux at home. Condiments bring flavor to the burger which was a disappointment as the meat should come through more robustly. Fries a bit on the soggy side but not overly salted. Massive fries order with large. Relatively quick at 10 minutes after order placed during lunch. Interesting that a small tray of unshelled peanuts given upon request.
PrairieGal
Got exactly as ordered!. We like this chain for a quick lunch, made to order. I get the mini cheeseburger, hubby gets the bacon cheeseburger, we share fries and drink $24. We get exactly what we order for, burgers are always juicy (don't tell anyone that I actually like the processed cheese) and I like the Cajun fries. It's not as fast as "fast-food" but it's worth the slightly longer wait - 10 minutes for or order to be up, I timed it. We'll be back.
Rivermystranch
Next time we'll pass!. After all the hype we were very disappointed in Five Guys... The burgers were below bad, buns we're skating rink quality, toppings... Some good others not. The veggie sandwich was pathetic. The fries were really good but when it comes to potatoes from Idaho that's a pretty big carbon footprint seeing as potatoes grow right in Edmonton. Next time we'll pass.

Dirty. Convinced my wife to go here and try the one on Terwilliger by cabela's. The food was just ok, a little pricey but not bad. My biggest complaint was the place was filthy, ate on the patio and there was food stuck in the grates on top of the table, it was sticky as well. The counter where you picked up yr order was disgusting, hand marks, grease and more sticky. Won't ever go again.
Gargouille23
No good. Very expensive and taste the same then at home and take forever to be serve my first time my last time....

I am sitting here at five guys in South Edmonton Common and am blown away by the outstanding service. I walked in and there was a line up but the got everyone through swiftly. There was also a gentleman walking around making sure you food was good and getting to you on a timely manner. He even brought your burgers to you. I was checked on to make sure my food was good. As usual it was amazing. I am very impressed with the service I received today.

Not all 5 Guys are Equal. South Common 5 Guys is the worst, and not at all representative of what a 5 guys burger really is. Flimsy paddy, soggy fries, unfresh toppings, weakly carbonated pop, gross.

Windermere is great and Sherwood Park was great the last time I went, over a year ago.
Monika
Honestly, I love Five Guys, but today's experience was awful! They were busy as I would expect on a weekend but they were out of Ketchup, Iced tea and their soda options had no carbonation in them. Seriously guys? How does a place that's supposed to have amazing fries run out of ketchup?
Dish
PEANUT OIL fries and PEANUTS. Careful to nut allergy folks!
JimmySays
Sat afternoon. Tried it on a busy sat afternoon...it was noisy lots of kids driving there parents crazy but having fun. Decent burger and fries, a bit pricey seems to be the way the burger places are going. They gave us lots of fries. Have malt vinegar! that's a plus.

Jeeze a little respect for the good old fashion hamburger guys. After eating here several times over the last few months the burger reminds me of the burgers we used to get in small town alberta playing hockey growing up. No fillers no b crumbs just beef and great toppings with a bun that wilts if you wrap it. The enclosed reviews are not even the least bit indicative of the quality and commitment these guys have to the hamburger. This burger is small town quality and if the music too loud take it to go
I Love Food
Not for me. I tried Five Guys Burgers and Fries for the first time in Medicine Hat back in March. We were visiting my husband's family; and I was really excited to try it out. My husband and I were quite disappointed with the food. The burgers fell apart almost immediately. The buns were not substantial enough to hold all of the toppings. Today, we were at Ikea; and my husband asked me if I was interested in giving it another try. This time, I ordered a regular hamburger instead of a little hamburger. I thought that perhaps two patties would make it tastier; however, the burger was still just a bland as the first time. It does not appear that the burgers are seasoned at all. I do not like a lot of salt in my food, but a little seasoning would be improve the taste. The fries were pretty good; and the free peanuts were still fun, but I will not be trying Five Guys again. For me, I prefer Fat Burger for burgers and Rodeo Burgers for fries.

Coming from a person who does not like red meat and especially does not like hamburgers... I LOVE these. They are definitely an exception.

Decent food, but pricey and loud. PEANUT ALLERGIES BEWARE. I went there at peak time. There were free peanuts of course, but having a mild allergy, this only made me feel uncomfortable. I ordered the regular hamburger for $5.99, which includes toppings and a double patty. My toppings were lettuce, mayo and onions.
The burger tasted fresh, though didn't quite have the flavor I had expected for the price. The bun was disappointing as it was same burger buns you get at McDonalds. I also ordered the fries, which turned out to be the best part of the meal as they were well-seasoned and satisfying. At 3.99, they give you a decent sized-portion.
Unfortunately, they crank up the music so loud you have to yell to person across the table. Along with the gross peanut-littered floors, I guess this is a common trait among Five Guys restaurants. But as a newcomer, I felt it was not a pleasant place to eat.
I was also alarmed that the fries are cooked in PEANUT OIL for no apparent reason. Though I experienced no reaction, someone with a more sensitive or severe allergy SHOULD NEVER SET FOOT IN ANY FIVE GUYS RESTAURANT. They should seriously have a big warning sign on the door, otherwise Epi-pens might become necessary.

On the Fence..... First off,...we really enjoy the burgers and Cajun fries (which are always plentiful.) BUT seriously guys,....turn down the flippen music!!!!! We are SO sick of going into restaurants where the music is so darn loud,...it's so unnerving. We can't even hear the order numbers the staff were calling out. It just ruins the whole atmosphere when the music is cranked so high. Plus the floors are always a mess with peanuts. If you're not going to keep up with cleaning the floor then don't offer them to begin with...it just makes the place look messy and unkempt. We are bordering on not ever coming back again,...and that's too bad because the food is good. However, consideration by the owner/staff has to be taken to provide good food AND good atmosphere....and this place is greatly failing in the atmosphere aspect.

Horrible place. I phoned in an order for take out and the guy put me on hold for 5 minutes before a rude east indian woman answered the phone with dumb questions like "are you here?" and then told me my order was ready. When I showed up, my food wasn't ready and they couldn't even locate my take out order. Just a joke, don't waste your time in this dump!
Krista
Worst customer service ever!!!!
First they dont have a Chip reader so if your swipe doesn't work your SOL!
THEN! while waiting for my boyfriend to come back the staff are completely confused, no idea whats going on. One staff member said "where is this guy?!" and another responded "Probly dead" ...um rude! Then we get the order..half of it! so we need the rest of our order which apparently was "already given to us" ????? Ridiculous!!!!!!!! and the floor was disgusting! covered in peanut shells! it should be swept at least every hour not only at the end of the day... walking through to get my drink all you hear is crunching under your shoes...ewww

To all the doubters and neg reviewers. Absolutely great place. I've been a burger fan my entire life, and know the value of a good burger. They're hard to come by, for sure. Most people don't even know what a good burger is, but Five Guys sure does!! They make a good, simple, fresh burger, which just so happens to be super tasty. There's no way this isn't one of the best burgers in town. Anyone who disagrees obviously doesn't know how burgers are supposed to taste!!!

Disappointed. I am a burger guy... and well... after the hype of Five Guys perhaps my expectations mixed with my exceptionally well traveled burger taste buds were just a little to high. The burger patty... not bad, equal to Fat Burger, perhaps a slight bit worse. Selection... what selection... Fries are good, get lots of them. Peanuts, great idea. They need a gimmic because it sure is not their food! I can look past everything that I dislike about this place except one thing... the "cheese" I use quotation because it is not cheese... its a processed pile of nasty fake orange disappointment. I dont even think your body can digest something so vile and fake. Perhaps children dont mind a processed cheese slice, the problem is I am not a child. I am an adult and I have expectations and the "cheese" did not meet any of them. For the same price go to Fat Burger or even Harveys. They both have their issues but at least they offer a half decent slice of a variety of cheeses. Once again not the best, but at least its edible unlike the garbage being produced by Five Guys.

I've had it before in Airdrie and it was good. This one wasn't. Bun fell apart, patty had no flavour, just turned into a giant mess. Fries were good. Service fine, love the help yourself peanuts, we spend so much time catering to the people with allergies it's nice to see a place that doesn't.
Craig
Cold burgers waited 5 mins for fries after burgers already bagged bacon on the burgers harder that the peanut shells all over the place time to clean up this dump

Tried out the restaurant for the first time and loved it. My wife and I especially liked that the toppings were free on the burgers. Usually things like mushrooms cost extra. The fry servings were also very generous. A single large fry was enough for our family of 4 as a side.
Heyheycheese
Err... Okay.. I decided to write a review of Five Guys after I looked up the calorie information and saw that I had eaten almost 1,200 calories from a meal that was bland and forgettable. If I'm going to eat that badly, I want the food to knock my socks off and this food certainly did not.

The burger itself reminded me of a less sophisticated Wendy's burger (which isn't saying much). The patty tasted like little more than fried ground beef and the simulated cheese was oozing out of the bun like melted plastic. I liked that they didn't charge you extra for the onions and mushrooms, but that's probably because the toppings were sparse. The fries tasted fresh but that's about all I can say about them.

Five Guys seems to try tout itself as being humble and delicious, offering wholesome, homemade style food. The problem is that it really does taste like homemade food and they don't offer anything I couldn't make myself. In fact, if I'd barbecued the burgers myself I would have made them a lot more flavourful and actually used real cheese.

Overall, I feel that Five Guys failed to live up to the hype because it failed to flavour the key ingredients. Putting bacon, a meat patty, and condiments between a bun does in fact make a burger, but it doesn't make a great one if the patty isn't the most flavourful part of the dish. You simply can't mask a bland patty with plastic cheese and a few fried onions.
Chris
Some things should remain covered.... Tried the South Common Five Guys today with a friend based on what she had heard from others about the food. Ordered the bacon cheese dogs, which were great, and cajun fries, which were not quite mediocre, soggy and over seasoned. The biggest turn off of the entire meal was the view presented by one of the service staff packing up the bags, with 4" of hairy butt crack hanging out there for all the world to see. Nothing is a bigger turn off to eating your meal than the view I have descibed when that is the person packing your meals into the bags.

If I am in the area, and really hungry, I might try again as the dogs were really good, but I won't go out of my way to go back.
Rdyck
Just plain bad. Beef has no flavor, save your money & go to MacDonalds, beef the same.
Apparently they think it is cool for the open kitchen to create so much noise the order taker had to ask me to repeat my order 3 times. There were more people in the kitchen than in the restaurant & yet our order took 14 minutes. Won't be back!
Sandra Drake
Disappointing. Tried Five Guys for the first time yesterday. Very meh. The pros were the availability of fried onions and mushrooms and the huge (although wasted) amount of fries in a regular order. Cons - burger was just okay, bun got mushy & fell apart, processed cheese (for the price for just the burger, I'd prefer some real cheddar), fries were soggy and bland (although homemade), slow - we waited about 15 minutes for our order even though it wasn't particularly busy. When you basically only sell two things, you'd think the process could be a little faster.

Glad we tried it, but there are lots of great burgers & fries out there. Not worth another visit.

Great Burgers! Soggy fries!

Five Guys Burgers and Fries. "I'f you're in a rush there is many other lower quality places to go to"
I was told about Five Guys back when Sherwood Park was their only location and now they're expanding throughout the city of Edmonton. Obviously they're doing something right so I thought I'd give it a try. I ordered the Bacon Cheeseburger and a regular side of fries and It turned out to be a huge amount of food for the price. Sure the fries are all over the place but if you watch them make your order you'll see that It's on purpose. They do a scoop into the bag so you get Value for you money. What's better than that? Fresh never frozen meat gives the burger a fresh great flavor and even though they used processed cheddar cheese (which i personally prefer) they beat real Cheddar cheese by a mile in their burger! not only because of the flavor but try using cheddar cheese to hold your burger together as well as Processed. Good luck! So if you want a good, juicy, fresh hamburger go to Five guys as soon as you can! reading about it does not do it justice to how good FIVE GUYS burger's really are. Why are you still reading instead of driving over there?
Und
Don't bother. I agree with most of what the other reviewers have said before. The burger itself was quite tasty but the bun was horrible. It fell apart almost instantly and tasted awful. The bun's consistency was very low quality and for the price I would expect much more. Our first order of fries was luke warm at best so we sent them back after the employee rolled his eyes when we asked for fresh fries. Nice customer service! Second order was tasty but not anything special. Will never go back again. Very disappointed after hearing all the hype.
Randy
These burgers are definitely NOT worth the $9 that they charge. The meat is half the size of the bun and it was VERY Disappointing I will never go back again, I don't like to waste my money like that, I couldnt believe it. Thee worst $25 I ever spent.

Simple but Complicated at the Same Time. My first time at Five Guys and Fries. I walk in and there is a huge menu board above the tills. A simple menu with burgers, hotdogs, sandwiches, fries and drinks.

Under the 'Burgers' there were two columns: on the left side were hamburger, cheeseburger, bacon burger and etc. On the right side were 'Little' hamburger, 'Little' cheeseburger, 'Little' bacon burger and etc. I ordered the Hamburger thinking that the 'Little' hamburger were for children and the Hamburger were for adults. The cashier asked me if I wanted one patty or two thinking that he was trying to upsell so I said one patty.

The toppings section had 15 items to choose from. There is a sentence in brackets underneath the toppings listed. It said, 'Everything or All The Way receives only toppings in black.' There were two rows of toppings listed, the top row was in black ink and the bottom row was in red ink. Reading that statement in brackets I took it as if you order all the toppings you get everything listed but if you only order some of the toppings listed you can only order the toppings in black ink. Very confusing but I should have asked the cashier. Not to hold up the line I only ordered the toppings from the row in black ink.

The pop is self-serve with free refills. The roasted peanuts were very tasty. If you have an allergy to peanuts then this is not the place for you.

As I sat waiting for my order eating peanuts I could barely here my order number being called over the louder music playing. My burger was fresh but I couldn't taste the actually meat patty with all the seven toppings I had put on it.

I would go back now that I know how to order. It is costly for a burger, fries and pop. I beieve that they cook the burgers as they are ordered so at least they are fresh and not sitting there waiting to be served.

After hearing a lot of hype I was very excited to try this burger out. I paid $12.50 for a burger fries and a drink. I think that's pretty steep for fast food, but
I was adequately stuffed. You get a lot of fries, and I found them very tasty. I ordered a cheeseburger loaded with all the toppings, it was pretty average. The burger wasn't as flavorful as I was expecting. I would reccomends burger baron over this place - better burger, better price.
Eener McKeener
Don't bother. $12. 50 for a small burger and the smallest fries (feeds 2?!) with a small drink. Like another reviewer, thought this was exactly like Burger Baron but smaller patties, and the bun was pasty. Go to Harveys, better burger, banana peppers, cheaper, better.
TB
EXCELLENT. This place has the most amazing burgers in CANADA. as im a very sensetive person when it comes to red meat, this place has the best quality and tasting beef. every other place i've had burgers they were eiter stinky or tasted awful. I recommend this place 100%. it is the best place for burgers.
Buffa
Burger Barron 2.0. Well had my first burger from 5 Guys....while I was eating it I ketp thinging I have had this burger before but couldn't remember where. Then a couple of days later I was at the Burger Barron in Redwater, holy cow, same burger....but a whole lot cheaper!

Save your money....go to BB!
Toni
I walked in reading the reviews hoping they were wrong. They werent. I hated the cajon fries, the burger was actually too small for the bun, and it looked as if they just dumped the fries into the Togo brown bag ontop of the tin foil wrapped burgers. Maybe in the states its decent but here it's run by young teenagers who probably aren't allowed to use the BBQ at home. :/
A Different Shade Of Grey
Disappointing - brutal fries
Melty
Not worth the price. I ordered a burger with bacon and fried mushrooms. The counter attendant said "I have no control over that" when asked to make sure the bacon was crispy/well cooked. She also mentioned she mistakenly put "fried onions" down rather than mushrooms. I laughed, thinking she was going to fix the error. Apparently not! My burger had no mushrooms, and was loaded down with onions. This I could forgive if the rest of the burger was tasty - it wasn't. The patty was on the dry side, almost mealy in texture, and lacked flavour.

The (five guys) fries seemed to be cooked in old oil, they were ok, but that may have had more to do with the fact that I was starving at the time. They were dark brown, yet barely cooked in the middle - saggy and slightly slimy. It's sad to say, but the highlight of the meal was the free salted peanuts.

For the price, I'd say go to Red Robin instead, not that that's much better, but at least the burgers have some flavour and the staff are usually on the ball.
Newfie
Just Ok. I was really looking forward to trying Five Guys when it opened in South Edmonton Common. I was not expecting it to cost $13.20 for a single burger, regular coke and regular fries. I got the "little" bacon cheese burger which cost over $6 - and I might add it's processed cheese not even cheddar or your choice of cheese. I did like all the choices of toppings - i had the hot peppers, hot sauce, grilled mushrooms and grilled onions - I found it to be very greasy, and sloppy. The fries was the best part of the meal - I got the cajun fries, and you got lots of them. I would rather go to Rodeo Burger personally and more than likely will not be going back to Five Guys .

4/5 for Five Guys Burgers and Fries. Five Guys is what a burger is supposed to be. Simple, fresh and delicious.
The location itself isn't anything fancy, found in South Edmonton Common. Adorned in their signature colours of red and white (and patchwork) you find yourself a simple table to sit at (fast-food style) and you marvel at all of the huge bags of potatos (red and white also) laying around all over the place. Tons of 'em! And the peanuts! There are boxes of peanuts laying around also, that you can just grab and munch on as much as you like. Salty peanutty goodness.

To order, you approach the counter like in any other fast food place. The menu is extremely simple and straight forward: There are small burgers (one patty), there are big burgers (two patties), some hot dogs and sandwiches, fries and drinks. You tell 'em what you want, get a number, and sit down. They call your number when it's ready. Simple. The prices are comparable (cheap) to what you would normally pay at any other fast food place, except this is where the similarities end. The quality of the food is heads and tails above any junky burger (made of tires, boots and raccoons) that you'll get at some crappy place.
I ordered a Little Cheeseburger ($5.99 - 100% fresh beef - no fillers or preservatives) and also a Regular Drink ($2.19) - free refills. (The drinks are just regular fountain-style that you fill yourself. I had me some Fresca.)
They have a big list of toppings (mayo, lettuce, pickles, tomatoes, grilled onions, grilled mushrooms, ketchup, mustard, relish, onions, jalapeno peppers, green peppers, A.1. steak sauce, bar-B-Q sauce, hot sauce), all free, and you can pile on whatever you want! I say go big or go home, that's what I say. I took all of my faves; mayo, lettuce, pickles, tomatoes, grilled mushrooms, ketchup, mustard and relish. The burger didn't take long at all and comes in a brown paper bag, wrapped in foil. Break into the foil and you find a sloppy delicious mess. It reminded me a lot of Peters' Drive-In in Calgary, which is what I consider to be another great, real burger place.
The burger was excellent, cooked to a perfect, juicy, grilled deliciousness. But what struck me the most was how fresh it was. The toppings were incredibly crisp which seemed to change the whole experience from "disgusting greasy burger" to "fresh delicious burger." This is what a burger should be and this is how you should be enjoying one.

As for fries, my friends and I shared a Large Fries ($4.99 - Fries are cooked in pure, no cholesterol, tasty peanut oil!) You can also choose whether you want "Five Guys style" or "Cajun style." We chose the Five Guys style since it was our first visit and we wanted to try the base model. They fill a tall cup full of fries, and then there were almost just as many loose fries in the bag! Very delicious. Again, what fries should be. Straight forward, hand-cut, cooked to a perfect golden crispiness. There's really no way to find anything wrong here.

In conclusion, Five Guys is the place to go when you want a decent burger without any bells and whistles. They know what they're doing and they do it right.

Pretty busy place when we went. First thing I noticed was great cashier service - she was nice and informative. Food wise though: you're getting a good deal for the burger but it's not the best I've ever had. Meat tasted good as did the toppings (which you have many to choose from- and all for free); however, buns and cheese were like you get at McDonald's so not the most gourmet food you'll consume. Overall, I'd say it's a fairly good fast food place but nothin special.

I don’t know if Five Guys was really worth it. The hamburger was $6.99 and the fries were $3.69. For the quality it seemed like a burger I could have made at home and same with the fries. Although it tastes pretty decent, Five Guys isn’t a restaurant that I would choose as my first go-to choice. Have any of you been to Five Guys? What are your opinions? Maybe it’ll convince me to give it a second try.
