Solid place to get Malaysian food! The food is absolutely delicious and I don’t find it to be too pricey- the portions are pretty decent. It takes a little while for them to cook, but the wait is definitely worth it! I would recommend one of their signature curries and the pineapple fried rice!
The taste of the dishes is pretty tasty and the portion is okay. My husband and I haven’t came here for years and decided to make a trip with our family to give it a try again.

This place is wonderful. I've had tropika in Vancouver before and this is my first time trying it in Edmonton. It's exactly the same great taste as Vancouver. You guys do a great curry and a crispy and soft roti. Will be back.
Really good Malaysian food. Too bad the skewers is expensive as you get 1 skewer for $3.
The star of the dish is the Singapore Laksa and brasil fried rice. Singapore Laksa has great depth from the the broth and the noodles is perfect. The fried rice is also good with basil fragrance and the meat.

So I went to this place today and I gotta say; the staff are nice......that's it. The food falls into a terrible Asian food stereotype, which is that you pay for the false advertised picture of the food. It comes out looking nothing like the picture but the price matches the food in the picture.

I haven’t been here in over 10 years! Sad to see that they have renovated and it no longer has that tropical island feel but it’s all bright and shiny now.
