I had my Bar Admission Reception here on September 22, 2017. The staff were amazing, the food was fabulous and everything turned out wonderful. Thank you to Elisa and everyone at Zenaris for making my day perfect.
Also, I come here for lunch often and the food and service has always been great.
Amazing staff. Such nice and family oriented people who work there. The whole experience from the food, to the ambiance, to the interactions is so genuine and true. I can never get enough of Zenari's.
Great coffee in a relaxed atmosphere. I will return for sure!
Zenari's is nearly an institution in Edmonton. They opened when Manulife place opened in the same space they currently occupy.
To be there that long you need to do the basics right, which they do. Food is fresh, well made and tasty. Service is quick, friendly, and polite to a fault. The menu is mostly Italian food with a few other favourites thrown in and is geared toward getting you fed and back to work. Not to say that's all they do as their breakfast and coffee menus offer plenty of choice for morning and beyond.
There is lots of seating available and amazingly the tables are kept clean and tidy, even during a busy lunch time. If you don't have time to sit and enjoy most of their menu travels well as take out too.
Breakfast stop this morning. An americano and a bagel from the nicest staff member. Service is stellar and so polite !! Restaurant is clean, well lit, and comfortable to sit in. Choices for this morning are many and all look wonderful. Enjoyed my stop!

A long time favourite. Pastas are consistently delicious, as well as the Italian loaf. Had a delicious chicken soup recently. All orders are made at the counter, food is then brought to your table (usually this is pretty clear by the long lines at lunch!)
Great spot for lunch, they have rotating pasta and soup specials. I didn't get a chance to try out their wine bar but it looked lively even on a Saturday lunch. My lasagne was well seasoned and the noodle were not hard. Nice blend of spinach and ricotta cheese. I plan to come back and try the gnocchi
Sundried chicken tomatoes pasta on Fridays is the best I ever ate in my whole life. Friendly staff members are adding to this restaurant. Apple strudel... will never buy thou...
This is undoubtedly my favorite resto. Been going there regularly for 4 years (yes!) and never disappointed . Service is great and food delicious. There's always a smile a great food waiting for you! And I'm usually a harsh critic.
The Italian Place Restaurant
+4.5
Late lunch, had the best Mushroom & pear Risotto.Simply Fantastic.
Pretty good. For some reason I have remained unaware of this place until today, even though I have worked downtown for 8 years.
I had the Italian Baguette, a little too heavy on the Ham which took away from the Genoa Salami unfortunately. I will have to explore the menu a bit more in the coming weeks.
Good enough to bring me back.
Lotsa luv for this place. Edmonton icon, luv the management.
My favorite place to go!. I crave the risotto at this place. i know it's probebly not made the authentic way, but for some reason i really really like it. their eggs florentine is also to die for. eggs. creamed spinach. cheese baked on top all bubbly. what's not to like about it?? i don't know any other place that serves it. my hubby loves the lasagna. their pasta dishes are very good as well. the pasta is always cooked perfectly, and even the half portions are a decent size. the price is pretty good too. the service is ok, don't expect to be waited on like a restaurant, but the people at the till are quite friendly. i love this place, and would go there much more often if it was closer to my house.
A favourite for lunch!. My favourite is the mixed green salad - I just love the cheese and the salad dressing! Goes very well with their little pizzas!
A bit of a downer. I love Zenari's:I used to go there at least twice a week. However, something happened a year or two and I found their food to be less good (especially the soups and desserts). I have no idea what happened but I'm a bit disappointed with it. It used to be my favorite lunch spot
Another Downtown Lunch Option. Cafeteria style joint with daily pasta specials. Had chicken pesto on penne and the chicken pesto was great. The penne was only ok, but for under ten bucks I'll definitely be back some day.
Zenari's is located in Manulife Place on the main floor, right across from Holt Renfrew. To me, Zenari's is a mix between a gourmet fast food place and a European cafe. Their food is made quick yet everything is fresh and delicious.
Zenari's is not fine dining, but it is a welcome alternative to the food court fare otherwise available in the malls. It's handy for people downtown, quick, relatively inexpensive and has plenty of variety. You might have to swing a few times before you hit a dish that's a homerun, but I think their menu has something for almost anyone.
I walked by Zenari’s a few times before I just wandered inside to order some food! This little place is located right across from Holt Renfrew on the main level. It’s pretty easy to find! I decided I was going to eat cake for breakfast, so I got myself a piece of their Carrot Cake which came in a large slice. It wasn’t cheap, but it was a decent size! The cake was pretty delicious with the perfect amount of cream cheese icing! Then, to complete my meal, I got myself a Mocha which seems to be the perfect coffee break meal that I turned into a breakfast! The mocha was good, although not different from anywhere else – so it was just costly! Overall, a neat dining experience! It was quick and simple and I can see lunch rush being extraordinary! The prices are slightly high for a coffee place treat but quite reasonable if you were stopping in for lunch and have pasta, sandwiches, etc! Zenari’s 10180 101 St NW Edmonton, AB (780) 423-5409
Zenari’s has been around for quite a while and the food and service are as good as it ever was. The staff are friendly and courteous. I had the Italian Sausage Crustini and it was excellent. They have a full menu and the variety is great. It’s very popular as I was there at the end of lunch and it was still busy. The are licensed so if you want a drink with alcohol you can. The restaurant used to sell high end kitchen dishes other gadgets but that ended when the restaurant became way more popular. This is a great restaurant and I highly recommend it.
Best place for Thursday dinner... Fabulous food, music and crowd... Love it every time!
Great cafe style food. Note after you order they will bring your food to your table.
Nice place, staff and food ! Parking is dirt cheap down stairs.
Great place to have a coffee with a friend or colleagues any time of day. Their breakfast bagel is really tasty as well and a good lunch replacement. Staff are friendly, the coffee has free refills, the espresso is top notch, and their lunch menu is unreal for a cafe.
I enjoy locally owned smaller establishments like this one. All around I was impressed, really nothing to "complain" about. I suppose I could "wish" for better pricing, but the owner needs to make a profit too. Wish I could see the owners car/house, this would tell me if the profit/value balance is correct. I suspect the owner drives a Honda or something like it and the balance is just right.
I take clients here often. And will continue to do so. It's a great casual spot with excellent coffee. I usually stick to simply a cappacino and they nail it every time. The staff will take your order at the front desk and will deliver it directly to your table. Great spot in Manulife Place. I haven't had much of the food, so am not able to speak to that!
The Zenari's experience is great, I love this not so hidden gem. It's a great spot to grab some delicious food, browse their shop and go for coffee with friends. The set up is great and the food is fresh. For some items people may find it a bit pricey, but it's worth the change in scenery.
