It was our first time trying The Sawmill. It was SO good! I had the 1/2 price bottle of wine (drank only half btw), had crab stuffed mushroom caps, and Chicken Neptune. It was SO good, full of flavor and hot. Hubby had the prime rib and wasn't as pleased, his food came out cold.
I have been to this location several times as my mother really likes the lounge in this place. It happened to be her birthday yesterday, and the experience for the four of us was very enjoyable. I realize steaks are cooked rarer these days in most restaurants, so when I ordered my Ribeye I ordered medium instead of the medium rare I like. My steak was perfect and very tasty. Two of our party ordered the chicken neptune, and it was nothing short of fantastic. My only hope is that the lounge could be bigger and the dinning room smaller. Good music, good place to watch sports, nice warm atmosphere. well done.
Above and beyond very tasty food, Tom Goodchild has hit the mark right on. Service in general is always exceptional but he has hired the absolute best ambassador for a business based on dealing with the general public. Rosie is the General Manager at this location.
16 of us came in for supper to celebrate my wife's birthday the end of January. This dear lady came around several times to check up on us. Cheery and jovial each time. She personally came back with a piece of cake and sang a very boisterous happy birthday in her native language and English. Fantastic!
6 of us returned yesterday for lunch to celebrate my mother-in-laws 93 birthday. Again she repeated this same process with the cake and singing! What a wonderful experience for all in the lounge! She is able to light up any room and is a bonus to a great meal!
And again we always enjoy the food especially the steaks.
Wow. The food was delicious. Absolutely everything we ordered came out perfect and tasted like heaven. Will definitely be going back. �

so accommodating for families and kids. they are always happy to bring out high chairs kids menus and colouring books. i would love to come back
Made a last minute reservation for Thanksgiving dinner feast. Table was all set up on my arrival and I was promptly seated. Ambiance felt nice, with some festive decorating and a fairly full house that wasn't squeezed in to the space. My server, Sanjay, was attentive, courteous and polite. The food was pretty good, and at a good price point. I will revisit this restaurant again, and recommend it to other.
Feb. 7, 2016. Went here for the brunch buffet today & we got there as they were opening. We didn't make a reservation, but they seated us after the people who have made reservations. We waited about 5 minutes before we were told that all the buffet items were out and ready for customers to go help themselves. Hot items were all hot and tasted pretty good and they have lots of varieties for you to choose from including seafood. The salad bar and the dessert section looked impressive as well. There was too many items to choose from and I got full after 2 plates. There were items I wanted to try but didn't as I wanted to leave room for desserts. I thought all the food tasted really good and everything was filled and restocked pretty quickly. For $25 per person, it is totally worth it. I would definitely come back for the brunch buffet.
Don't know why this place has a bad rep. Interior isn't far off a lot of steak houses but that's not why we came.
Brunch as excellent. Service was good and prices? Let's just say the food was excellent, and I doubt you could get cheaper breakfast across the street at the place across the street with a big M on the front of it.
Brunch menu is short but it's all cheap, I mean steak and eggs for under 12 bucks? It's a no brainer to me!
Nice time!! Drinks and desserts with friends. Great service and yummy desserts with a great conversation. The makings of a great evening started here.
Visited the Capillano location of the Sawmill yet again. And the service was fantastic. Crystal, our server, was warm, inviting, friendly and easy to communicate, as she usually is. Would recommend this restaurant over and over again
Helpful waitress helped me to choose menu options, and was quite attentive to my water glass being full. My expectations were exceeded.
I ordered a medium steak, and received a medium-well steak. However, it was a well-prepared medium-well steak.
Great food, everything exactly how we ordered it. Server was very nice and came and checked up on us often throughout our dinning. Love Sawmill and will be back!
I've Bein going to the sawmill for two years now and I love it,excellent service and the food is amazing I don't see why anyone would go anywhere else.I always have the greatest time there keep up the good work

Superior service. Sawmill Cap has done an exceptional job in securing my repeat business after an individual staff member forgot a special request and lessened my dining experience. The Mgt there took my concerns very seriously evand now I couldn't ask for better service. It is the best possible way to compliment the stellar food. Bravo! and Thank you.
Fantastic!. I go there once in a while (I live in Winnipeg) and it's so yummy. My favorite is the salmon. I go there every time I am in Edmonton. Everyone should go!
