The best Schnitzel in Alberta!!! Along with, by far, the best Goulasch soup and potato salad! An excellent selection of German beers including Erdinger and Salvator on tap.

Best schnitzel I have had anywhere in the world. Some of the best service I have had. Old world charm and attention to detail. I wish they were closer to home so I could eat there more often. All Edmonton friends, you must try this place.

We've had the pleasure of dining at Haus Falkenstein in both of their locations. A wonderful experience !! Great schnitzel, good beer & great atmosphere at a reasonable price. Too bad we live so far away (Albuquerque, NM, USA) or we would eat there more often.

Love this place!!! We used to drive all the way to Laugheed for their schnitzel...we are soooo glad they relocated here. Silke and the wait staff are lovely. She tells stories about Germany, and their journey to Laugheed and then, Edmonton. I love that they don't hover...they let you enjoy your WONDERFUL German beers, and out of this world schnitzel...but are always a shout or wave away. We try to get there at least once a month, and we are never disappointed. Make a reservation, because everything is fresh & to order...scrum-diddly-umtious!!!! See you soon!!!

A tad pricey but you get sooo much schnitzel for your dollar. I had the Jagerschnitzel and it was amazing. The potato croquet tea were just perfect little packets of deliciousness. 5/5, will come back to try different schnitzel!

Enjoyed many great meals at Haus Falkenstein in Lougheed … delighted to now have this great restaurant right here in Edmonton. The food is to die for . I made the mistake of looking at the croquettes and fries illustrated on this page. Now i'll never sleep until I get back for another fine feed of the best Schnitzel, all the trimmings and a fine ice cold German beer,. Looking forward to the great friendly service that I've come to enjoy! To the whole Henschel family, "Keep on rocking'!"

I've been to this restaurant with friends several time now and always get great food and service. Myself I like the Alberta Schnitzel, but the options seem endless. Can't wait to go back again..

We loved it here! Having so many options was great. We loved most of the side options. The homey atmosphere helped this restaurant. Quality was amazing and service was kind and speedy. Not from Edmonton so we were a little nervous about location, but when we’re in the area we’re hoping to keep coming. Soo sooo good.

Absolutely love going to Haus Falkenstein. The food is amazing and the service is great. The restaurant is clean and decorated nicely. The menu is explained right on the first page. Never had a bad experience and my go to Schnitzel is the pepper Schnitzel! Love the homemade sauces.

I would recommend to make a reservation though, sometimes it gets really busy.

What? Hey what's a great Spanish place in Edmonton? Haus Falkenstein is! Wicked sweet story, travelled up to Edmonton to cheque out the chicks and during a break from the action I found this little gem? It took a while to find the entrance door (it's right up front below the sign btw) but once in I was taken to a realm of endless Spanish schnitzel. I'd love to take some girls there and have a crazy time - splizziz on the bill those guys (not an invitation to my ex Megan, your with Jon now and I hate both of you unless you still have feeling for me). The lady who ran the place had a thick Portuguese accent (very sweet) but sounded really German - kinda freaky. Hey I ate food there which they had lots of and went to the washroom (number 1 of course) - pretty standard girl/boy separate and couldn't here the girl in the other washroom even with my ear against the wall- awesome. I'll definitely go again and if you do, give me a call I'll drive from anywhere to meet you. Bon ape tit

Family run restaurant that arguably serves best schnitzel in Edmonton. Highly recommend their house special Haus Falkenstein schnitzel: 2 slabs of crispy seasoned schnitzel smothered in killer a chanterelle cream sauce, served with addictive homemade fried potato croquettes and Ceasar salad. They usually have a couple good German beers on tap as well, our favorite is a cold pint of Erdinger Weiss. Service is super friendly. Only .5 off for strangely using canned mushrooms in some of their dishes when they pride themselves in sourcing local fresh ingredients. They also have authentic jerseys, steins and traditional clothes decking out the walls, and a special soccer/football table for a very special team dear to the family's heart. Perfect for a date night, family friendly, and of course, bringing friends to an authentic and tasty German experience!

This place is awesome. They do one thing (a few hundred ways) and they do it extremely well. Portions are huge. The owners and servers are very nice in a typically reserved German way. Great selection of beer too!

Very good food and yes they have a HUGE variety of schnitzels! The schnitzels are served with a small green salad with a tangy vinaigrette and then accompanied with a large order of fries and a Caesar salad. There are not a lot of side choices on the menu, but they say that they are staying with their tradition. They defend their choice for using processed cheese and canned mushrooms but I think that I would have preferred the fresh mushrooms and cheeses. There were six of us for a birthday meal and the staff were very accommodating.Great service and clean restaurant. Everyone in our party enjoyed their meal and would definitely return for another visit. The restaurant was very busy and there were people of all ages (not only the elderly as was mentioned in a previous review). Great German food and with large portions. My Mom and I were very satisfied with the half portion...everyone else had full portions and had happy tummies We will be back and perhaps even try their takeout.

There aren’t many German places in town. The only other options I can think of are The Bauernschmaus and German Cultural Centre. Haus Falkenstein opened awhile back but then closed due to a fire. They re-opened recently so we decided to give it a shot on a Friday evening. We actually tried to go on an earlier Friday but they were so busy that we went elsewhere.
