Review Moxies - Edmonton

We were there this past Friday evening for dinner. I don't remember our servers name but she was great, super friendly! We were seated in a booth in the bar area so we could watch the basketball game. Food came out quickly and tasted great! No complaints, would definitely come back to this Moxies the next time I visit Edmonton

Great atmosphere (I sat in the outdoor area) and I was impressed with the service. I asked if I could switch my table to get better lighting and there was no problem. Salmon dinner tasted great, especially the sauce (lemon dill I think it was?). Veggies were cooked just right, mashed potatoes had just the right texture. There was a mix-up with the dessert, but they allowed me to enjoy the donuts and still brought me the key lime pie. The jelly donuts were actually the bomb! Would order them again in a heartbeat. Seems like a great place for all different occasions, even just treating yourself to nice dinner once in awhile.

Went tor a celebration dinner. Food was good. They have adapted a lot of things from different cultures, cuisines. I have eaten at their Head Office/ restaurants in Vancouver. Habe met the General Manager. I love what they are doing with this chain.

Went to the Brewmaster Dinner last night, and it was an absolute blast. The food was unreal (and perfect portion sizes!) And the beer pairings were perfect. The GM, Shastina, was always active on the floor checking to see if we were having a good time and everything was good. I really hope they do more of these events, because I'd for sure go again.

My meal was beautiful and delicious i had a Ceaser double followed by a shot of vodka and a pint of beer. I don't remember name of beer but it was superb...... Thier are some very attractive waitresses working at this location as well👌 👏 a range of nationalities honestly it adds to the inner decor of moxies when it's complimented by sexy staff.... as i write this I'm delighted with the fact that drinks were so flawless visually speaking qaurter inch of froth on my 22onz half moon I think. the food which was an appetizer sushi dish dont remember exact name 🍣 🤔 looked better and different then expected was fresh and delicious 😋. My friend unfortunately had to return some undercooked sweat potato fries 🍟soggy fries when there aint no gravy not a good look, but we promptly got a some new fries which were superb. At the bar we had a new waitress working she was nice outgoing generally speaking but were critical both a tad snobbish we had to have another waitress take our dishes away because bartender didnt notice after like 15 minutes we didn't like that but the staff noticed and assisted her so its really not a big deal and nice to see team work in action ultimately food was dope I was happy. Also the bar tender didn't ingage the other dudes and they left after one drink they didn't look happy... I'd say if you want your tips make it happen by servicing your customers through conversation talking finding relatable points and remove empty dishes promptly check in frequently when ppl drink they seek an experience it's more dynamic for them when the bar tender is dynamic don't have long stretches with out ingaging I give them 4 stars because over all I had a good time 😊 😉......

The food and the service was very good. The atmosphere and decor was very cool and hip (I loved the desk lamp light fixture). I will be going back.

It was our first time dining here (Moxie's in general) and the experience was amazing! First of all, the ambiance of the place is very nice not to mention their washrooms that are not like any other restaurants', which are on another level. What really surprised us is the waiting time from taking our orders to serving them which is really FAST (even faster than your typical fast food Joint, lol)! And the foods taste awesome too! My wife and I were really satisfied and satiated without the feeling of being "too full". All in all this was a wonderful first-time-experience for the both of us. Will surely recommend this and come back again next time!

Went to moxies the other day and had the absolute best chicken tacos! Definitely recommend this place if you wanna go for drinks and appys with friends. Staff was super helpful and got us everything we needed :)

Wrong drinks uncooked food and terrible service. That’s was today’s experience at Moxies. The cheese was uncooked on the nachos, dr.pepper instead of Diet Coke, and they ran out of strong bow cider.

It’s been a while since I have visited a moxies and I can’t say I will be back anytime soon. Food was bland, overpriced and service wasn’t worth much.... group ordered and every time the server asked is it a preference or allergy. Understanding that in this day and age allergies can be a serious concern... but she never did explain if the process in the food preparation would be different had it been an allergy. Server came by a few minutes later and told the table they ran out of a certain item so we couldn’t get it.... re ordered and the. She came back again and said...we actually found some.....how deep did they have to dig to get the last piece of ahi tuna for the salad??? I hate to think...used to have great appetizers and dessert..not so much anymore.

My friends and I were there for dinner on Saturday night (Aug. 5).  Our server who was named Oria was amazing. This young lady has only been working there for 3 weeks, but has already become the perfect representation for this restaurant. She has a wonderful sense of humor and a great knowledge of the menu. She was so attentive to all our food and drink needs. She made our dinning experience fantastic. The Manager Richard Thirnbeck is a perfect fit for his position. He is ensuring that this restaurant is operating as a top notch high quality place. This restaurant is very inviting, wonderful food and a great atmosphere.  We definitely will be back. Thank you for the wonderful evening and a great place to spend time with friends and family.

Service was excellent, good guacamole (server acted like fresh guacamole was SO EXCELLENT and new! Did they previously serve pre-made from. plastic tub), fish tacos good , chicken tacos just okay. Espresso was the WORST imitation of espresso I've ever tasted. WEAK and disgusting for $3 plus. Rating poor because how could they serve this brown liquid as espresso.

The drinks we good, the service was ok, the food was awful. My pizza tasted like it was microwaved. My husband's southern chicken sandwich was gross. <br/>We have been to other Moxie's locations and had good meals. This one ruined it so bad, we will never eat at a Moxie's ever again. I have had better meals at a food court.

Venue - Vast improvement post reno. I used to call the old Kingsway location the "Smitty's of Moxies". The new venue is huge with lots of seating options. The restrooms were nice too and very clean. Where this place lost points for me was how dirty the patio tables and seats were. The first 4 tables we attempted to sit at were covered in crumbs and it was slow when we arrived. Most of the place was empty. Additionally the floor looked like it could really use a sweeping. In my opinion there's no excuse for poor cleanliness in the food industry. <br/>Staff - We waited a while before someone came by to give us menus and take our drink order, but our waitress was sweet none the less <br/>Food - Per the waitresses suggestion we both opted for the Grilled Chicken and Mushroom Rigatoni and it was absolutely delish. My mouth waters just thinking about it. <br/>

One more completely average chain restaurant. Menu is the same standard bar and restaurant food as every other chain in Edmonton. Patio is comfortable furniture with huge puddles under the one of the table. Caesar salad, sushi cones and chili chicken with wine, and beer. Service is pretty good with average flavors.

I came here with a group of 10. We were seated and they took our drink order. Every time the server came he never asked for our refills of alcoholic beverages. Not impressed. Overall the food was very good Moxie's has stepped up their game in that aspect.

Food was low quality for Moxies, salmon was not fully cooked, meal overall not good. First time I have been to this location. Never had any issues at the North Edmonton Moxies.

I love the newly renovated Moxies. The service was great. The food was yummy. Especially the cheddar broccoli soup. I recommend this location to my friends.

Beautiful restaurant.  However, the food is below average and boring.  Remember the old Zellers lunch counters?  you could get an amazing club sandwich that you could barely get your mouth around!  Well, you would have no trouble with Moxies' club!  Boring square bread and slices of turkey and tomato you can see through.  Soup came in a cup-sized bowl, and (as seems the usual in most restaurants) was cold.  Even after being re-microwaved. So half a sandwich and a cup of soup for $12!!! (Think it was $2.99 at Zellers!)  And my 12 year old granddaughter ordered a burger, which was slathered in whole grain mustard.  How many people like an over-abundance of whole grain mustard?  Not too many, I think.  Service was ok.  Won't be back, as there are 100's of other restaurants in this city!

MAY2015 -Amazing new building! Amazing service! Amazing food! Has to be the best Moxies in town! Only thing I didn't care for was the extremely loud music, it was so loud it sounded horrible. I was with a group of eight people.. one being my 88 year old grandma who is hard at hearing, she was not impressed with the music. We asked to turn it down, server said they can't because the manager and owner won't allow them too.

Love the new building. What an amazing new building. Went for brunch had the scrambled eggs which comes spinach, feta, in your own little frying pan. Shredded hash browns were good as well. The two I was with ordered the bellini's and loved them. I've always enjoyed the house beers as well.

Since the upgrade service has gone downhill.. Well the steak was fantastic. Service not so much. I wanted the Brussel sprouts but I got green beans instead. No big deal. Then as I was trying to enjoy my dinner I could watch all the serving staff congregate around I guess it was the staff where the sit and eat their meal on their break. That's fine but the last thing that you want to see while you are eating a nice meal is a waiter to run his finger across his plate and lick his finger and then pick his teeth. Not nice at all. Most of the wait staff was sitting while only one young girl was still working doing all the small detail work in the room. That's not team work. Then as I went to pay my tab she asked me if I wanted my change back. Of course I do. That's an assumption that you deserve a tip. Never assume that. It's just rude. Then she said that the bar could not bring me change back from a $60 tab??? I only tipped because I knew that they have to tip out the kitchen and the hostess and bus girl. Certainly not because I think that she deserved it. Her personality reminded me of a wet mop. She dropped off my food and said enjoy and walked away. Never asked if I needed anything else to go with my steak like fresh ground pepper or steak sauce. Just not a very good experience. The steak was phenomenal though. GREAT MEAL. I had the chipotle mango chicken. Not only did the presentation impress me, the taste was FANTASTIC !!!!!!

Not a fan. Have been to Moxie's 4 times (not by choice - birthdays) and all 4 times were terrible experiences for me. Bad food and bad service.

Food court is better. Ordered roast chicken, which turned out to be breaded & fried. Burned the first order, so we had to wait for the remake. It wasn't worth the wait. Had bruschetta that was so soggy we had to use a fork. Waitress & manager were both very nice & the gave us the food for free, but it still wasn't worth it.

JUST DON'T BOTHER! Went with my aunt at 1050pm just to eat the white chocolate brownie omgeee! We walk in and the place smells like a dirty used rag my aunt walked right out...my hungry self begged her it was late n I was craving so we order it! The worst ...how do u f up a dessert! Grrrrrrrr

Always a GREAT experience!. Ian Jones and his team at Moxies Kingway are always a delight. Great food, great serviced, great experience.

I will never go there again after the hostes told us that the table by the windows have no server and we can't be seeted there befor we even got our water she was seating people there .

Above and Beyond. I am writing this in regards to the exceptional service my fiancé and I received at the Moxie’s Kingsway Mall location, not once, but on two separate occasions. We could not have been more pleased with the care and understanding from your staff, of which, Brad, Jen and Kendra really went the extra mile to cater to our needs.<br/> <br/>We were in Edmonton in mid-January as my father was in the hospital at the Royal Alex. My fiancé has severe allergies to certain foods and condiments and the questions we were asked to ensure there was no contamination, were above and beyond anywhere else we have dined.<br/> <br/>I must say that I have always enjoyed the menu at Moxie’s but the service we obtained made our experience 100% better. We will continue to visit that location whenever we are in Edmonton, as well, Moxie’s will be our prime destination wherever we are.<br/> <br/>I would like to congratulate Moxie’s and the staff at Kingsway, with particular emphasis on Brad, Kendra and Jen on exceptional and phenomenal service, it does not go unnoticed!

Awesome Server. First time: Got a fantastic server who was very informative.

It's usually pretty good, but the only thing I recommend on the brunch menu is the waffles.

Don't go to this one. It's ugly and ghetto.

Very rude!. I went to this location on a thursday night i was not very happy. My pop was flat i asked for another one i did not get it for 20 minutes the waitress was not doing his job. I will not visit this location again.
