Review Smokehouse Bbq - Edmonton

Haven't had Smokehouse in years. Finally had a chance at the Father's Day Car show this year and I beat the rush by getting it early. I love brisket and this sandwich definitely hit the spot. BBQ and cars are a perfect combo.

Had a brisket burger and fries at the fathers day car show at celebration church. the brisket burger wasn't very good and the fries had orange color on them but very bland. Was excited to have some good brisket.

They were good and were different not just slight variants of one another. I did find that the meat was a little on the dry side. The corn bread with the butter was super good highly recommend. The sides were good and I especially like how they use a bechamel base for their Mac and cheese. Service: very warm service and friendly hospitality. We were fairly well taken care of. Atmosphere: hidden gem in the middle of a random neighborhood. Interior is not what you would expect looking from the outside. Place has a nice welcoming yet relaxed feel to it. Delicious! We ordered off menu a platter sampler. From there we just ordered more of what we liked. We also ordered the cauliflower (delicious) and brussel sprouts in cow boy butter, french fries and beans. It was all so good. They have a dedicated fryer for gluten free. The owner makes his own BBQ sauces. They are all gluten free escort for the apple wood one which has beer in it

It was pretty good bbq, portions are fair, the sauces are tasty. My only complaint was serving my bbq bowl of warm fries on a cold salad plate. I would have liked my warm meal to be warm when I got it.

Scarlet was our waitress. Beyond amazing. Made me feel so comfortable and was super knowledgable about the menu and all the events they have going on. Best fries I've ever eaten and the ribs were out of this world!

I don’t really get the overwhelming positive reviews. We ordered using Skip the Dishes, meal for two, choose your meat and sides. The brisket was probably the only thing that kept me from asking a refund. Pork ribs are incredibly dry and they give you a bunch of sauce to drown out the taste of the meat. Mash potato tastes like it was frozen then reheated. The mac n cheese was fine, it’s mac n cheese. Listen, I usually don’t review food even if it’s bad because I feel like a 1st world a**hole but for $50+ I really expected more. I’m not upset, just disappointed.

Came here for lunch, we were lucky enough to arrive before the lunch rush, but even then the service was friendly and the food came out relatively quick. Food was good, only comment would be that the fries have a bit more of a crisp on them. Overall good food and a good atmosphere.

I ordered last night through Skip the Dishes. The service was quick, delivered to my house in approximately 45 minutes. I ordered the 3 meat and 2 side combo with pulled pork, beef brisket and St Louis ribs. For the sides I picked garlic mashed potatoes and Cajun potato salad. The Meat: The ribs were tender and delicious, with just the right about of smokey flavor. The pulled pork was good, but even better the next day for lunch - juicy and flavorful. But my favorite was the beef brisket - smoked to perfection, fall apart tender and a perfect amount of crispy bark. The sides: I'm not usually a fan of cornbread, and unfortunately this one didn't change my mind. Not bad but not amazing. The garlic mashed potatoes were disappointing, no garlic flavor at all and ice cold. The Cajun potato salad didn't fare much better, there was no taste of spices, and not enough mayonnaise, so basically a scoop of cold, boiled potatoes. Overall, the meat is the star - as it should be at a Smokehouse. I was impressed with the quality of the meat, and the portion that was easily enough for two meals (minus the sides that found their way to my garbage can). The sides could use some work, but that won't stop me from coming back for more. I'm excited to try the other meats Smokehouse has on their menu. My only other comment is that my entire meal was cold by the time it arrived. I understand this is likely a Skip the Dishes issue, not with the restaurant, but it's a shame for such delicious food to be delivered cold. I will definitely be recommending Smokehouse BBQ to my friends, next time I'll try different sides though.

This place has been absolutely amazing for years! The catfish po boy is perfect if you love a good fish sandwich. The brisket was moist and very tender. And all the sauces were perfect to change up the flavour. Would highly recommend this place for anyone!

My husband and I come here often, the food is always exceptional; my husband being a butcher is very picky with meat and is always impressed every time we go by the quality of meat and flavor! On top of the amazing food, the service we receive by the staff and our server is always top notch, very attentive and ensuring everything is exactly how we want it! Anyone looking for some great BBQ we HIGHLY recommend checking them out!

Smokehouse BBQ provided the food for my daughter's wedding last weekend and it was terrific! Good price, lots of food and delivered on time. Everyone commented on how delicious the food was, the best they had at any wedding. The southern fried chicken was so moist and tender and the bacon bombs were amazing. Would definitely recommend them.

had the cat fish....it was to die for....super friendly ..... great service.....had to wait for a bit, but that was because everything that came out of the kitchen was freshly made. will be a regular, for sure.

The food was fantastic!! Best brisket I’ve ever tasted!!The service was absolutely impeccable! Lucas was our server, he was an absolute delight!!Such a lovely atmosphere as well. Looking so forward to coming back:):)

Just had a delicious supper here. The smoked beef brisket (without bbq sauce)was the best. It is so tender mmmm! Excellent jalapeno & corn bread muffins. I recommend the catfish po'boy as well it was enjoyed by others dining with me. The live blues music was an added bonus!

Great food! Amazing service! If I could rate this 10 stars I would have done it yesterday!!!!
