I will come back again. I surprise on Friday when the front entrance of the restaurant was blocked by road construction, but when I walked in the restaurant to my suprising it is almost full of customers.
Was really good! Affordable! And the owners/staff were super nice! Food came fast! Would come here again. Conveinent location, clean, and hospitable.
The owner and the staff were really nice and welcoming when I got there. The service was also really quick and my food was ready fairly quick as well. I ordered the beef satay because of reviews and it was much sweeter than what I prefer in my beef satay but it was still decent, but I'm still on the look out for the best satay in Edmonton. It had a lot of flavour and there was a bit of a kick in terms of spiciness. I wouldn't mind coming back to try other things on the menu.

This place is great for a quick lunch. Service is fast - I usually get my food within 15 minutes of ordering it. Really good prices too.
I just wish I could get myself to order something other than the beef satay but I'll be damned if that's not one of the tastiest soups I've ever eaten.

Ordered the wor wonton soup and it was very good. The best wor wonton soup I've ever tried, great friendly service as well. Great broth, fresh produce and a nice size portion.
Great food and atmosphere. Reasonably priced. The rice paper wraps are presented unassembled and a good variety of fillings to use. If you ask they will tell you how to assemble your wraps. Highly recommend this place. We will be back
Bottom line: Best beef satay pho in the city. I went on a mission about a year and a half ago to find the best satay pho in Edmonton. I've tried all of the highest rated Vietnamese restaurants on Zomato, but Rice Paper can't be beat. Very clean and tidy restaurant, friendly and fast service. Portions are generous so it's great value too.
Great appetizers too. My go to's are beef kebabs, chicken or beef salad rolls and Vietnamese coffee.
Picked up lunch to go this week at the Rice Paper. I recently discovered Pho and was craving it so a good friend went and picked some up and we enjoyed a great lunch. I think we had the Northern Pho with Chicken. The servings were big enough for two lunches. Very good!
Delicious!! We had the curry beef with coconut sauce and it was soo good, kimchi and onion cakes were tasty as well, service was good, we will be back :)
This is a really good option for Vietnamese food with good soups, vermicelli bowls and the addition of build your own fresh rolls. Kids love this option as they can select the ingredients they want to use to build their own roll (noodles, sprouts, meat, sauces). Initially felt like prices were a bit steep but portions are large. For example, two people can share a rice paper set for $15.99...dirt cheap. The ambiance leaves a bit to be desired but good food, friendly staff make up for it.
It was fine..but fine cuisine?. We came on a rainy day and after one table left we had the place to ourselves. Quick service that came piping hot. Decor unmemorable as well as staff and menu. But it was decent. Husband had the beef satay soup as he always does. He commented that it was more tomato-y than other beef satay soups he's had but tasted similar in flavor to our other favorite haunts. He said, "It must be fine cuisine because they use these funky bowls". I had the northern vietnamese soup which was basically pho with chicken, beef and meatballs. The smell was divine. I love when you can smell the earthy and complex flavors right from the get go. You know it's good! The meats were tender and juicy and the flavor of the soup was right up there for bang-on as far as delicious pho goes. I'm big on tendon and tripe but the menu didn't have any sadly. It was an interesting choice for the west side. Not sure if I'll return but it did just fine in a pinch!
Great Rice paper rolls. Tried the prawn rice paper rolls. They were amazing. One of the best i've ever tasted so far. The soup was also good- a pineapple, fish soup. The broth for the soup was quite tasty as well. Had a really good meal.

Wonderful Beef Satay Noodle Soup!!. Quaint little restaurant on 178th St just north of 100 Ave. Parking is tricky as it's beside a hotel. Great and quick service. The beef satay noodle soup was very good - spicy, lots of flavour, hearty satay with peanuts. Sprouts, lettuce, and topped with onions, fried garlic slice, and lightly sprinkled crushed peanuts. It was a delightful combo. The shrimp salad rolls were fresh and just right. We will go back!
Amazing food and quality fresh ingredients... And lots of food in one plate... If you ever feel you are super hungry this is the place you need to sit down....amount of food and price tags super even, nice place to visit for sure...over all i'll give this place 5stars...
The food is great. The price is great. The selection of pho is lacking. I like the adventurous type pho - tripe, flank, etc. They don't have that. But if you want simple delicious pho - steak, beef balls, chicken - this is the place for you.
Have had better Pho, but it was not terrible and would eat there again. Food came quickly and staff were friendly. Price is right :)
Went there for lunch and I love it. The service was friendly and fast. Food was very tasty. More pricey than many Vietnamese restaurants, but the food, atmosphere and service justified the price. Will most likely be back. I will recommend this to all my friends and family.

Amazing rice paper rolls. Honey glazed prawn rice paper rolls is hands down one of the freshest tastiest and most generously portioned meals weve ever had. Service is so so in terms of friendly and accomodating. We have felt rushed out after our meals twice. We think they shut too early. But terrific food and we will be back!
My family and I come here every weekend to eat and we have became regulars here. Service and food are at their finest. Clean, modern. Way high above those other restaurants like the chain restaurants - Pho Houng and many others. And you might notice the prices are a dollar or two more, however you get more than what you can finish, at least for me that is.

PHO!. I found this quiet little, friendly place about two years ago and make it a point of going about twice a month. Nothing on the menu disappoints. But the Pho always leaves me craving for more. Their beef satay soup is equally pleasing to the palate. I'm so glad that the westend has this jewel. The atmosphere is great along with the staff and the bathrooms is exceptionally clean. I always tell people that you could even eat it the bathroom because it's so clean. I strongly recommend this place to anyone, too bad they are closed on Sunday. Damn,Now I'm hungry!
I 'm not a big Vietnamese foodie but I would definitely eat here again. A group of us from work went for lunch and left it up to the restaurant what to serve us for a given price ( we had called ahead). The food was incredibly tasty and the service was fabulous. I was pretty stuffed by the end of the meal and surprised how reasonably priced the lunch was - $20 including tip per person. I will be back!
Best Pho ever!!. I come to this restaurant everytime I'm craving their Satay Beef soup - it's marvelous! Large airy restaurant, modern decor, extremely helpful staff. Highly recommend it!
They SAVED Me.... Had to travel to Edmonton for 2 weeks, and am not a 'burger and fries' kinda person.

The food is delicious. Portions are plentiful, and the service was excellent. I ate there almost every day. Everything I tried, I loved. If you like this style of food, I think you will be hard pressed to find fault.
Best Vietnamese Food. Love this place - decided to try it when our usual Vietnamese restaurant was closed and we are now hooked. We've tried a lot of Vietnamese restaurants in Edmonton over the years and this is by far our favorite.
Really, really nice staff, great service, clean atmosphere, generous proportions and good clean food. We've eaten here a lot and always get good quality chicken, beef, meatballs and shrimp in our dishes (we've had experiences with gritty pieces at other restaurants)

5 out of 5 was driving by around lunch time heading to another restaurant and saw Rice Paper so turned around to give its try, wow some of the best Vietnamese soup I have ever had huge serving and very reasonably priced, very quick service for lunch and extremely clean place servers were very polite and helpful I will be back again.
Great Vietnamese. We've been to Rice Paper a couple of times now and have enjoyed everything that we've ordered. Fresh, tasty ingredients and sauces accompanied by friendly, efficient service.

Up to now my standard for Beef Satay soup has been Tan Tan on 101 street. Rice Paper's is at least as good, possibly a bit better.

This is the best Vietnames I have ever had. And I love it and eat alot of it. Very clean and great service. I would eat here ever day. Food is very fresh!!
Was driving past this cute little place after an afternoon of WEM fun and had to u-turn to get there... But so glad we did! Lovely family run place with fresh ingredients and friendly staff. Lucky westenders now you have an alternative to every sub-par chain in the area! Will be back for sure!

AMAZING all around. Well, upon the reviews and suggestions of friends, we decided to try the Rice Paper last night!
It was awesome! We started with the Beef Satay soup, to die for. Just enough spice that creeps up on you as you go along. More like a chili consistency than a soup, rich with noodles, beef, crushed peanuts and a deep rich broth. Then we couldn't decide on what to get separately, so we decided to "share". We ordered the rice wraps that you assemble yourself at the table, with the lemongrass chicken. They arrive with meat on a skewer, and lettuce, rice paper (that you soak in a bowl), bean sprouts, grated carrots and some sauces. Delicious, and fun to make at your table. Next we ordered the Lemongrass prawns with the added coconut sauce, and a big bowl of rice. We also had the Sweet and Sour Basa fish. To die for, all of it! Add in some TsinTao beers, and a vietnamese iced coffee and it was heaven. We split the creme caramel that the waiter told us his mom had made, how could we resist. It was perfect! Family owned, and run , it truly shows pride in ownership and the food was as fresh as I have tasted in a very long time! I cant give enough praise, and we will most definitely be returning!!!!
Best food from the friendliest staff. The food here is absolutely AMAZING! Both my wife and I have been here multiple times since discovering it back in Feb 2011 and every time we go the food is always perfect. I don't have a single bad thing to say about this place and could never run out of good things to say. So far my favorite dish would have to be the Lemongrass Chicken adding in the extra coconut sauce... Heaven on a plate. If you like Vietnamese food and have never been here, what are you waiting for!

We drove by and thought we would try a new Vietnamese place. Great surprise, very clean great service and the food was very tasty. We now have a new regular place. I was quiet in there. I hope it does well. We will be back with friends!

When Mousie suggested lunch at Rice Paper, I almost wanted to say no because I was so tired of Vietnamese food. I probably had more pho in the last 6 months than I've had in my entire life due to the large number of Vietnamese restaurants in Edmonton. I find that there is a lack of ethnic foods apart from Vietnamese and Indian cuisine. But in any case I'm glad I agreed to try Rice Paper because it showcases a popular dish that's NOT pho — rice paper wraps! One order of rice paper wrap is more than enough for one person. I decided to get the grilled ground shrimp on sugar canes ($16.99) because I was curious as to what it looked like. The ground shrimp was grilled around a strip of sugar cane, so it absorbed some of the sweetness. The dish also included vermicelli, lettuce, cucumber, bean sprouts and a sweet and sour dipping sauce. I wasn't very successful in creating my first wrap.
