Consistent. Always really tasty. Always excellent friendly and precise service. Yes, getting pricier but it’s worth it. I’d love to see a upgrade to the washrooms. Getting kinda gross and super worn down and, you can tell a lot about a business almost solely based on awesome washrooms. Oh yeah, love the Brad rolls!

Good location with ample parking spaces outside. Interior was really spacious and well layed out. Very clean and modern looking. The food is not something innovative or mind blowing but the quality and taste are consistent and pleasant. The servers were friendly and attentive and was nice to have a little chit chat with them whenever possible; nice little human touch to the meal.

Restaurant has plenty of parking, there is a large lot as part of South Edmonton Common. There was no line and was able to be seated shortly. Front staff seemed unorganized, a bit of confusion about where to seat someone.
The restaurant has a unique floor plan making it seem not very busy. However order did take a while to get, and server kept saying they were super busy.
Food is quite pricy for the amount and service received. However the Chicken Karrage was delicious with the special Dragon Eyes sauce.
Restaurant is clean and washroom are kept tidy.
Overall rating: 3/5 stars
Price and Service could use improving.

Very delicious food. The restaurant is huge and we sat in a room with a traditional Japanese setup which was cool! The menu itself was so beautiful with the drawn items. Everything tasted fresh and amazing.

Mikado Restaurant review
We wanted to try Mikado since we heard they have great shrimp tempura. And they delivered! It was good! The vegetable tempura was good too. We also tried the nabeyaki udon which was ok.
Sad to say I didn’t get the chance to really try their sushi since there was a miscommunication with the server, Cam. I asked for a deluxe sushi combo and she brought me a deluxe bento set. 😩 It was very confusing because she asked a few questions about the bento and when I gave her the confused look she said it was part of the combo. I didn’t question it as some Japanese/Korean restaurants include some small appetizers with combo sets.
Lesson learned…always ask the server to repeat your order so you know what you’re getting.
Tried the chu-toro and it was so good!
I would recommend as the food was delish.

Friendly servers and the mood of the interior is really good for a date or a family dinner. The food is also delicious and the presentation is beautiful.

I recommended Mikado to my friend today, and it was her first visit there. But the server's attitude today was unpleasant. Lunch bento tasted great, but the server never asked how the meal was while we were eating, and just filled it with water once. She put the Bill on the table like throwing, and the machine on the table like an angry person. I want to talk to her. If you don't want to work, don't work. Why did we ruin our feelings of eating happily?

Came here during dinner time. Got a traditional private room which was really nice. Loved how the staff was dressed in traditional Japanese clothing. Tried a couple of the appetizers as well as the sushi, big fan of the Philadelphia rolls :)

I've been dining at Mikado as my #1 sushi restaurant for more than 10 years... Staff and food quality never disappoint us... Had a reservation on Valentine's day with my sweet love, and table is ready for us when we walked in. During the dining, the owner of the restaurant came out served us and chat with us. We felt very warm to dining at this restaurant. Totally recommend to all my friends and family... All the best...

The grilled squid that I ordered was not as good as I expected. It was not only hot as newly grilled one, but it is not warm enough to enticed my appetite as to order a second one, considering that grilled squid is one of my favourite seafood. Nevertheless, I liked the shrimp tempura.....

If I could give less than 1 star I would. My husband and i came for dinner tonight with our baby. We were told we could not feed our baby his baby food. I had fully planned on ordering him a bit of rice to try along with the food we brought him. We tried to explain it was baby food. A squeeze pouch and a teething cracker. The host still advised no outside food. My husband and baby left immediately. We will not patronize an establishment that treats a family like this. I asked to speak to a manager but one never came. This is unacceptable.
