Review Indian Fusion - Edmonton

Nicole Gutka
I'm blown away by the exceptional service my dinner party experienced. We were greeted by friendly staff as soon as we went in! The ambiance was warm and inviting. The restaurant is tastefully furnished, pleasant, and serves some of the best Indian cuisine I've ever tasted. As we celebrated my sons 16th birthday the staff went above and beyond to make his celebration memorable! I'm from Saskatchewan, and I can attest that Indian Fusion - The Curry House is a must-visit in Edmonton for delicious Indian cuisine!

I've been thinking about trying this restaurant for months and I'm so glad that I finally did. The food was fantastic and so was the staff. It has a warm and inviting atmosphere that transports you from Whyte Ave and gives you a little taste of India. And did I mention how good the food was?!?

There are so many Indian restaurants in Edmonton so the bar is set very high for quality of food. This spot takes over the abandoned old King and I spot just off Whyte Avenue. Parking is sparse as the city has put up no parking signs on both sides of the street outside of this restaurant. I can imagine thaf makes it difficult in the winter to access this place. Once inside, the decor has been changed up to a hip darker setting to emulate a more modern locale. I've been here twice and the food was ok. I didn't find it mind blowing. The vindaloo was more tomato based and not as saucy than what I'm familiar with. I also tried the Kadai which was quite good. I was surprised that they didn't have Dal Tarka on the menu so we ordered the Masoor and it was also quite good. The naan is moist...not crispy like oven baked naan. The reason I give three and not four stars was because the rice wasn't great. I ordered both the basmati and the saffron. They were very dry and the grains were very small. Especially with saffron, I'm accustomed to a plumper fuller grain with a more robust flavor. It may be that the food quality was affected because I ordered takeout. Also...the service was ok. It wasn't friendly. I made some customizations to the order and I felt like was bothersome. As I said, there's a LOT of Indian restaurants around Whyte and downtown. Hopefully this establishment can make it in a very competitive landscape.

LOVE this place. Everything about it. The atmosphere is very cozy, great place to come here with friends. The food is incredibly flavourful and there are so many options to pick from! This is my new go-to restaurant on Whyte Ave.

We entered as hungry guests having very little idea what to order and left feeling like we have another new friend. What a lovely experience. The food was hot and fresh and at a perfect level of spice. It was as if he could understand exactly what we would like to eat. We felt welcomed and more like were dining with family. Absolutely Beautiful! We will bring our family next time to take it all in! If you haven’t taken the time to enjoy this experience….what are you waiting for?

Very cozy atmosphere..Feels like in a different country in the core of Whyte Avenue. Ideal for hangout while in staycation! Friendly staff. The food was amazingly good. Please see pictures (Butter Chicken/ Korma).. Had some Safran rice and some delectable Garlic Naan bread. Reasonable price! The lady who served our food was really nice. I would recommend this place to family and friends for some really good Indian food 😋

This is the best Indian restaurant in the province of Alberta. The quality of the ingredients, the complexity of the spice mixes, and the unique ingredients are unmatched by any other Indian restaurant. We have been going to Indian Fusion for over ten years and argue over which dishes to order each time because there are SO many excellent choices. Shahi Paneer & Beef Vindaloo are usually among the mix for us. And the naan is the perfect mix of chewy & crisp. Even though we moved to Calgary, we still go back and get a massive order every time we visit Edmonton. We can’t get enough. The ambiance in the restaurant is super fun for a night out - they even have live music! Their new location just off Whyte is bigger than their last, so lots of space for your celebrations! Beyond the incredible food & space, the family-run restaurant is staffed by the kindest people you will meet. You will feel welcomed and well taken care of by this amazing team. The chef, Prakash, offers free meals to people experiencing homelessness in Edmonton - even now, at a time when restaurants are still struggling. This is the kind of incredible local restaurant you want in your community. I highly recommend you check it out. You won’t regret it!

Was walking down the Ave & smelled the most enticing aroma that brought us into the most amazing restaurant -definitely try this place out! This is the best food that I have eaten in a long time. Impeccable service & atmosphere. Make sure to check out the jewelry & scarves from India, they are beautiful. There will be live music two Fridays out of month & we will definitely be back. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

Dishes with a Fijian accent and one of the most adventurous menus - crocodile, game etc - to round out the standard butter chicken and naan. Tiny place, so the service is very personal. They do a booming takeout business. A lot of thought has gone into the decor - the art, the fabrics, the lights. This is one of my favourite places to go, especially for the shahi paneer and the pumpkin chokha. Never disappointed. A terrific place to take visitors - they'll thank you for it!

Their website says that they are open till 8 pm on Sunday. I called at 7 pm and the gentleman on the line rudely told me that they were closed and hung up on me. Very poor service.

Small place with big flavours. I tried the lamb and samosas and they were delicious. So flavourful and satisfying. I would go back again. They need a second location that has more seating haha
Corey
I've never experienced the negative comments that I've read about this great place. I came here because I read that they will feed anyone who cannot pay. It's absolutely true. But since I can pay, I do. The first time I had one of the Fijian fish dishes. Can you say divine? Been back a few more times and I've never been disappointed. Now I'm pretty ho hum about butter chicken. After tasting their version, it's right up there with my faves. My GF loves it too. As for the service, it's always been good too. A solid double thumbs up!

I have ordered food from this restaurant many a time through skip the dishes and I am never disappointed. They deliver on time and the food is hot and steamy when it arrives. Being from India I would say they hit the nail on the spices perfectly.

Have been wanting to eat here for a while after hearing the great stories about the kindness and community mindedness of the owners. Finally made it in today for lunch and was blown away by the experience!
Everything was perfect, the friendly greeting, the casual atmosphere, the cozy room with colourful and eclectic decor and most importantly the food. We chose the lunch special and it was amazing! Every dish was delicious on its own and all together was a feast to remember. We will be back soon!

Indian Fusion – The Curry House is a mouthful to say and remember. This place has been on my hit list ever since I read Vue Weekly’s review and discovered that they do Fijian dishes here! Fijian! Can’t say I’ve ever had that type of food before, which made me want to try it even more.

Wow, this is probably my favourite Indian restaurant in the city. I love hole in the wall restaurants and I am so happy I found this little gem!

First off, the service was amazing! I love genuine, tentative, and kind service with genuine smiles. The restaurant itself is small and cozy - great for couples and small groups. The interior is filled with warm, dimmed light and decorated with unique, lovely Indian-inspired decor. One of my favourite parts about my experience here was the ambiance. The ambience is warm, inviting, and felt culturally rich. The smallest details in the warm lighting, the cultural decor, the beautiful Indian hand-sewn table covers, and the warm service created a great impact on my experience.

Now for the food - WOW! Everything we had was AMAZING!! We ordered samosas, stuffed kulcha, and lamb masala with rice & naan. I liked how their samosas are baked not fried. The samosas are made with a wrapping that I've never tried before and they were delicious! Full of flavour with the right amount of spice. The stuff kalcha was great too! I've never had potato & spice stuffed naan before. And wow, the lamb masala was out-of-this-world amazing. The aroma and flavour was so divine literally. We had it made with 3/5 spiciness and it was perfect. The rice was beautifully made with wondrous colours and aroma. The flavour was soft and had the perfect texture. We decided to take home the rest of the stuffed kulcha, naan, and lamb masala sauce we did not finish. The owner was very kind enough that he added a few pieces of beef into the lamb masala sauce and included a little dessert for us to take come. When I said amazing service, I wasn't kidding! The thoughtful gesture reminded me of warm family members that would always ensure you had extra warm food to bring home from a get together. Everything about this place from the service to the decor and food was spectacular. I will definitely be coming back here again!
Indian Fusion is such an amazing place for Indian food. The lamb mughlai is to die for and is my standard fair. It is beautiful with saffron rice and garlic naan. The regular rice is also delicious and really goes with anything. The pumpkin dish is quite nice but not my thing. I have also had the honey coconut naan and it is really amazing - like desert. My must visit restaurant when I come back to Edmonton.

This awesome place is a tiny little nook that is totally worthwhile stopping at. The food was quite delicious particularly the Fijian (sp?) lamb chops! Everything was cooked in so much delicious sauce we actually took the left over sauces home to cook with ourselves! The staff was so friendly and service was great!
Most of all, this establishment is unique in that they never turn away a hungry customer even if they have no money. I whole handedly support businesses that give back to the community in this way. I am so happy to see all the people that come to Canada find ways to make Canada a better place!

A friend was craving Indian food & we decided to try it out. It was a group of 4. The decor inside is quite fancy, very Indian themed. We each ordered something from the main courses, I decided the palak beef. it was 18.99$ which is quite expensive. Since it was priced that much we thought it would come with some kind of rice or pita but it didn't; the waitress didn't bother telling us. She kept on unselling, asking if that's really enough for us, if we needed more pita & rice. We decided to ordered an order of pita, she still tried to upsell when we decided we wanted one order. The food was disappointing, the palak beef just had Spinach and beef. They were very watery and mushy, it didn't taste good with the pita at all. It just made it even more mushy, it ruined my appetite. I didn't want to order rice I just got the rest to go

This is by far the best Indian restaurant in Edmonton. Food is always great, service is always great. And a huge variety of both Indian and Fijian dishes as well.

We came here for dinner and since it was our first time, we asked the owner for recommendations. He recommended us a pumpkin Curry, which was delicious, as well as a beef Curry with cashew nuts. Everything was flavourful and delicious. Both curries balanced sweet and spicy flavours nicely. The atmosphere is also one of the nicest things about this restaurant. It is small and very cozy. We will definitely be back!

We had such a great experience here!! We ordered take out and were treated to tea while we waited. Everything, the food, the service was so good. We will definitely be going back for more!!! (lol next time I'll get the opening time right)

The food is the best Indian food I have ever had. The owners are amazing and the service is incredibly good. I have eaten here a lot of times and have always been extremely happy

I have eaten here twice and both times were excellent experiences.

I enjoyed the Butter Chicken, Nan Bread, Fijian seafood medley, beef vindaloo, but my absolute favorite dish is the dal makhani.

The restaurant is small but very beautiful and the perfect place for a romantic dinner. The lunch special is amazing with a different options avaliable at a very reasonable price.

The service is awesome. A family owned a run business they truly put there heart and soul into the place and the dishes.

My very favorite curry restaurant in Edmonton.

I live across the street from Indian Fusion and am addicted to it! The coconut rice has actual coconut shreds in it. The dishes are so delicious and flavourful. The husband and wife that own the place are delightful! The decor is charming and makes me feel like I am in a far away country, but it is great for take out too! Support this place!
Went to dine in with my Indian-fijian husband and in-laws here. They are a bit hard to please when it comes to Indian and fijian cuisine because they know their stuff, so-to -speak. we ordered a lot of food so it took more than 30minutes of wait but it was all worth it! We were all pleased with the food. It tasted amazing! Food is perfectly spiced. The portion for the price is right. Overall, the food was beyond our expectation, very authentic and really just wow delicious! Also, the server/wife of the chef and the Chef were really friendly and he even came out to our table to chat with us and check how we liked the food. We're definitely coming back to try more recipes. Out of all the indian restaurants we've been to, this place is the the best Indan/fijian restaurant by far in Edmonton!
Boyd Mostowy
I give you a zero if possible, but I did eventually get the food I ordered an hour late. There was ZERO service in this Sh***ole, and the food was simply average. I was the first to order, yet several people ordered, ate, paid and left before I got my food. Following such a large order as ours all we got was a simple "sorry about that". If you are thinking about eating here, go somewhere else, anywhere else, because you may or may not get service here. There are lots of other indian restaurants that will give you great service with food that is equally good.

Love this place!!! Not only was the food absolutely delicious, the owners (husband and wife... well I think they're the owners) were so friendly! They made wonderful suggestions and answered any questions we had about the food. You can choose your level of spiciness (1 to 5). I love spicy food, but level 3 was slightly too spicy for me... I'll go with 2 next time. We ordered only Indian dishes, but they offer Fijian dishes as well.

Ordered Chicken Korma to go, food was ready quick and it tasted amazing!! The restaurant itself is really cute inside, would be a great place for a date. The staff was friendly and more than accommodating of a couple changes I wanted to make.

Ordered take out from this little hidden gem. Prices were good and food was tasty. Ordered the buttered chicken, rice and garlic naan bread and everything was good.

While I was waiting for my food I sat at one of the tables in the restaurant. The place is small but very cozy. Great place for a date!

Excellent. Great food. Never been disappointed, amazing experience every time I visited. The USP is that food is fresh and you can actually visit their kitchen to see how they prepare their food.
I would rate 10 on 10

New Favorite Lunch Spot!. I was looking for a new lunch spot close to the insurance brokerage I work for around the corner -something close to downtown but outside of the core so we wouldn't have parking issues. I am glad I found such a gem in the perfect location. The first thing you notice when you walk in is the ambient, funky atmosphere. We were served by the owner, Parkash, who is a gem himself! Most restaurants I go to have service issues and every once and a while you come across a place with decent service. Even more rare is a place like this where you actually feel like welcomed guests into their home. Service was prompt and especially friendly. Food came quickly and there is no deal unlike their lunch special. Two meat dishes, two vegetables, rice, and naan - all for $14 and it's unlimited! Not only do you feel classier there but you feel classier after you stuff your face full of unlimited food. Usually I feel like junk when I eat too much Indian food, but here you can tell the food isn't as fatty or greasy and my stomach can at least avoid the pain that usually comes with eating too much food. Thanks for the great lunch Indian Fusion, and I will be sure to come back soon! - Melanie

Fresh food, prepared to order with excellent spicing. A friend introduced us to this restaurant. We are vegan and finding such a fine restaurant is a great addition to our choices for dining out in Edmonton. Meat eaters will love the variety of choices for them too.

An intimate and very pleasant atmosphere is complemented by excellent fresh food. Family run businesses are always our preference and the owner/chef is both courteous and welcoming. Food is prepared to your spicing preference made fresh to order. There is such a difference between places that just add heat to their food and chefs who use many and varied spices to create wonderfully subtle flavours.

We highly recommend Indian Fusion and look forward to our next visit.

Love this place! I come here every week :) food is just great! Recommend.

Best Indian Cuisine.. I've only been here twice but other Indian restaurants do not compare to this place. It's cozy, small, and has a "mom & pop" feel to it. The food is absolutely delicious and filled with so much flavor. I look forward to visiting Indian Fusion again!

Great Food, Friendly Staff. We just came back from this restaurant and had an amazing time. Arrived on a Saturday around 5pm. It wasn't busy but as we were leaving things were picking up.

We have eaten at a number of Indian places around Edmonton; this place is one of the best. To top it off, my 2 year old son was treated so well by the staff, and they even made him a salad when he asked for one. Very good people, great food. We will be back.
Sploogeonfood
Stupid customer service. Since I decided not to eat here I can't comment on the food. But I will comment on a complete lack of understanding of basic customer service. Instead of ordering from them, you must call a third party company to take the order. The person didn't know anything about your food, so I didn't order. Just wanted to leave you morons a message.
Andrew Crossman
The atmosphere was great at this truly authentic Indian restaurant. The servers were extremely helpful with what was a good complement to other foods. The portion size was very reasonable for the price of the food. Definitely a good place to have a nice family diner or even a nice night out as a couple.
Miss Wartooth
Delicious!. I always order take out from this place and they never disappoint! Inside is very beautiful. Great place for a date. The food is amazing has lots of flavor and lets you choose how spicy you want it which is great for me cause I can't handle a lot of heat. My favorite dish is the butter chicken and the kadai lamb, both very tender.

Amazing Food, Fantastic Atmosphere. Indian Fusion The Curry House is a gem hidden in Downtown Edmonton / Oliver. The few tables and rich decor create a cozy and intimate atmosphere, in which you will dine like a king.

The food is tailored to your spice level: you pick a spiciness level, on a scale of one to five. The food is unique for Indian restaurants in that it provides healthier, lighter fare. The dishes don't have that layer of oil on top that most dishes at Indian restaurants have; the chef seems to be health-conscious.

The restaurant is à la carte, with a delightful selection of Indian and Fijian dishes available, including a phenomenal pumpkin curry. The coconut naan is divine.

Lastly, the owners are such delightful people; kind and generous.

Favorite Indian Food in Edmonton. We LOVE Indian Fusion. It is one of our favorite places in the city, and hands down our favorite Indian restaurant in the city. Delicious food- you can set the spice level for your preference. The butter chicken is my boyfriend's favorite. I love their Chana Masala. Coconut Naan. We are in heaven. We always go here if we want Indian food. and the price is totally reasonable too.
The owners are very nice- clearly passionate about what they do.

Ssssso good!. I just came back from an excellent supper at Indian Fusion. The service was friendly and attentive. The food was amazing and flavourful. I travel a lot and seek great places to eat. I have a new restaurant on my list for Edmonton. I will be back to eat there at the first given opportunity. Family owned and operated, you will get a true East Indian experience. Shukryia!
Franki
Amazing food that is great for sharing. A beautiful atmosphere.

Sometimes small is good. Service was warm, welcoming, prompt and efficient. We had Basa Fish Curry, Beef Vindaloo and the House Lentil Specialty - all delicious! It was early on a Tuesday evening and we had a corner in the small restaurant to ourselves. The portions were generous enough for us to eat to bursting and still take away leftovers for lunch the next day. All flavours were satisfying and bright. Value for portion size and taste was excellent. We will happily return and soon! Let's see if I can get those curry spots out of my white dress shirt!
Dipendesai25
Low quality food. Worst food i ever received n not worthy.
Sanjay65_mathur
Indian food and interior feel India in Canada. Just to say awosome
Both husband and wife have nursed the restaurant as their child
Wish and pray that their restaurant too reach heights
Nismobsession
Standard indian fare, portions too small.. I'm not sure if the dine in/take out portions are different, but even being the light eaters than the wife and I are, we found the portions MUCH too small to even consider ordering from this establishment again. The food was decent but not outstanding. Would not order from here again.

Amazing!. This place absolutely blew my mind. I cannot recommend it more!!!
I had a dish of butter chicken, regular naan and coconut naan, which chai tea and coconut rice. It was so delicious! There was enough food for two... but I ate it all, I just couldn't help myself.

Jim. We just left The Curry House having a fabulous meal. We have enjoyed Indian food around the world and this by far the best we have had. Pakeesh and wife operate the restaurant as a family kitchen making you feel at home from when you arrive until you leave. The food is loving made with the freshest spices. We will be back to experience new dishes.

Fantastic food and service!. My new favourite restaurant in Edmonton! The food is delicious and full of flavour, the atmosphere is cozy and comfortable, and you always receive service with a smile (they remembered me after one visit!). You will not be disappointed, and I will be returning when I am in town next!
Mystique India
Mystique india endorsed :)m. We have been asked by our customers time and time again "where is the most authentic Indian restaurant?" We are pleased to say after years of searching we have found this hidden gem! Located at 10322 111st in downtown Edmonton this restaurant has authentic Indian food a quaint and lovely atmosphere. Great for families, couples or singles we 100% recommend to anyone who wants
Real, great tasting Indian cuisine!
Dani
Just enjoyed a wonderful dinner! Most authentic Indian taste! The biryani is incredible! Awesome Lassi! Owners make you feel like you are at their home. Warm cozy atmosphere and great ambiance. This restaurant is a must!

Not what it used to be... I have been going to this restaurant when I come to town over the past few years and I'm sad to report that the quality of food has deteriorated a lot especially over the past year. It is still a nice friendly cozy restaurant but if you are looking for quality Indian Cuisine you will not find it here. Some details are easy to spot like the use of canned mushrooms instead of the fresh ones as stated in the menu or lamb that is more bone and fat than meat or butter chicken that is bland and flavourless. Overall what spices they use might provide the heat but not much flavour. It is definitely overpriced for the quality.
Smidjoyce
Delicious!!!. This little gem is a bit hidden, tucked back off the road on 111 Street, NW between 103rd and 104th Avenues. But, oh my goodness, the food is amazing and bursting with flavor. They do a big take-out business, but if you have the time, the little dining room inside, while very small, is absolutely charming. We experienced the Fish Goan Curry (big chunks of oh, so tender white bass filet in spicy sauce with coconut milk) and the Pumpkin Chokha with Tandoori Rota as our method for eating it. Awesome. So, if you love Indian cuisine, this little restaurant is well worth a visit.
Amy N
Outstanding Food and Service!. First off I have to say I love how they do not deep fry anything. My bf and I dined here on a Saturday and had no complaints! We started out with a Samosa each, and it was delicious, with the perfect amount of spices. Then for our main dishes we had Aloo Gobi, Chicken Jalfrezi and Lamb Surva ( from the Fijian part of the menu.) Aloo Gobi is one of my favourite dishes ever and this one was the best I have had we got this one at a spice level of 3 and it was perfect for me. The chicken Jalfrezi was also delicious but hade just a tad too much salt. And the Lamb Surva was outstanding we had this at a level 4 for spice. To accompany we had garlic naan and the saffron rice (which had a few other flavours in it which worked perfectly! For dessert I had to indulge and have some gulab jamun. And if you don't know what that is you have not lived!!! I would rate this restaurant a 5 out of 5. I enjoyed the pleasant, fast service, the flavours of the food and the general feel to the place. I will for sure be back, as I think this husband and wife duo have a good thing going!

A warm, homey family-run restaurant serving Indian/ Fijian food that is arguably the best of its kind in Edmonton. One of this city's hidden gems!

The is some of the best indian in town hands down! Must try! Small, quaint and delicious!

Just the Best. This is a great little restaurant run by the super friendly owner family. It is difficult to imagine how the food and whole dining experience could be better
Otto3030
Excellent Food and Service. We feel like part of the family when we attend this restaurant two to three times per week. The owner's greet us by name and then serve us a delectable blend of Indian/Fijian cuisine.
Hlakshman11
Like home!. I have been to Indian Fusion many times with friends and family and always recommend this place. This place is nice and cozy and run by the most friendly family. If you want to enjoy great food with a "home" atmosphere, this is the place to go. Feel free to ask the chef for recommendations. My family threw a small 50th birthday party for me at this place because they know how much I love going there.
Miss Kim
We hit the jackpot!. If I had to use one word to describe my first time experience at Indian Fusion, it would be 'AWESOME"!! This was not only the best Indian cuisine I have ever had, but it's my new favorite place to eat in Edmonton. My date was equally impressed (maybe he'll take me back :))
The food was light, fresh, tasty and plentiful while the service was old fashioned, friendly and timely. We had such a great time and left 110% happy! Thank you Indian Fusion... I will be telling my friends and I will definitely be back!
Vincent
Excellent, fresh and tasty!!. Great family own restaurant! Very good service! This family is lovely! Best indian food I ever had, so fresh and tasty! We will go back for sure, we had a very great time. Small and intimate restaurant, its just perfect!

I love this place! I have to say it's the best Indian food I've ever had since I've discovered this place I've been back many times. The food is so fresh and full of flavour. It's small cute cozy place to go if you want fresh delicious food. The naan bread is amazing. My favourite dish is the chicken korma it's not on the menu but I ask for it every time. I love the atmospher and the owners are so sweet. This is one of my top places to go for a fresh healthy meal.

Great food great atmosphere, locally family run.

Excellent and friendly service, Amazing food!. By far the best Indian food in the city. This tiny unassuming restaurant, just down the street from the Edmonton General Hospital, wowed my senses. The food was amazing without being insanely hot like some other Indian restaurants.I had the lunch special because I don't know what the hell I am doing when I order Indian. It is a bit of a wait, but everything is fresh and the staff are friendly. The flavours were delicious.Definitely make the trip to find it.it's a tiny restaurant but excellent.
Travellin' Daves
Mmmmm....fresh and nicely spiced!. Well, Dave#2 and I were pleasantly surprised. The owner Kim was friendly and her service was nice. Place was pretty much empty when we got there at 6pm on a Friday. Small place with decent ambience, we sat beside mirrored corner, it was a bit distracting having to look at Dave#2 and his mirrored reflection while eating. Sometimes hard to look at just one Dave#2, and it ain't pretty!
Ordered garlic Naan bread with two mains, Chicken Tika Masala and Beef Vindaloo with basmati vegetable rice. All dishes were nicely spiced and delicious. We both enjoyed our selection! Would go back if we lived in Edmonton! Would be keen to try the Fijian dishes!
Sheilads
Yummy. What a great little restaurant. Had vegetables with curry, butter chicken, naan and coconut rice. It was great and the service was fine. I will be back for more
NS
Fresh...delicious...made to order. Good food made with freshest ingredients with obviously skillful hands. Don't be in a huge rush since good food takes time to prepare. We are of Indian descent & this is THE best Indian food in the city. Sooo flavourful without just resorting to burn-your-palate spice levels. If you want hot you can get it but this food doesn't need it. Many thanks for consistently great food and kindly service!
Brockmcalpine
Great Place. Found this place and decided to try it out with 6 other people. The place was great. We were served by the owner who let us know he was short staffed, but that did not seem to make any difference. He was extremely nice offering incredible service.

Family style restaurant where we all ordered and shared our food. The food was amazing. I would definitely recommend this to anyone.

I was also very surprised about the price. 6 of us were stuffed and each couple got a full doggy bag to take home and it was only $40 each!!
Aysha Linkiewich
Best Butter Chicken in Edmonton.. Try it you won't be sorry.
I like to get it to go during the week and curl up with my favorite television. The ultimate comfort food!
Sabfan81
Fantastic little place: food was great, price was very good (lunch specials) and service was fast, attentive and friendly. Will be going back.

Not a buffet, but.....better. This is a very pleasant, small, friendly place in Oliver. The food is very good, especially the vegetarian dishes.

Lunch, consisting of 4 or 5 dishes, plus rice and Naan for under $15, is a real deal.
Jayne
Authentic Indian food. Cozy, warm atmosphere. Friendly service. Would definately come back !

Great lunch. A cute, quirky restaurant, although rather small and not a place for private conversation. We had the lunch "buffet," which meant that the nice owner brought out 4 dishes, plus rice and naan, and which could be refilled if required. The potato curry and the lentil curry were delicious, but too similar in taste. The butter chicken was good, but the best was the Filipino style basa curry--light with a wonderful sauce. The owner said they use no oil, and you could tell. Good deal for $12.

It was amazing. The flavours were complex and fresh. The spice was complimentary to the vegetables and meats. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Very Disappointed. This was the worst Indian food I have ever had, including ordering curries from sports bars and chain restaurants. The beef vindaloo was bland, watery cubes of tough beef. The butter chicken was at best straight out of a jar from your local grocery store. The palak paneer was good but it still lacked full flavour of a good curry. The naan was weak as well.

I will never support this place again and I recommend to go to any of the other Indian restaurants in the area.

Superb cuisine. On three occasions I had lunch at Indian Fusion: once with a group of 10 colleagues, another with two friends, and again with my wife and a friend. They were all very impressed and 'fully' enjoyed the culinary delights included in the lunch buffet... and for only $10. The owners are very friendly and quick to fill the bowls that are served at the table. It is very easy to recommend Indian Fusion the Curry House. I look forward to having many more meals there.

Please, please, please try the pumpkin. You won't regret it. Really great.

Great service, Great food. I just took down a not so positive review as the managers here have gone above and beyond to resolve the issue I had. I will not get into the boring details. The food was so yummy! I love that they try and make the food as healthy as possible. This is my new go to place for Indian food.
Thanks Parkash and Indian Fusion for providing such excellent food and customer service.

Delicious. I went a few times for dinner and the service and food was excellent. I'm not usually a fan of Indian buffets as I find the food to be bland but I tried their lunch buffet and was sold. Best Indian I have had in edmonton so far.

What a gem! All you can eat lunch special, two meat dishes, lentils and a veggie dish with rice. Definitely will go back, very tasty!

Cozy! Wonderful service and great smiles! And the food was fantastic! Very filling, but not overly.

Delicious variety of Indian flavors. Butter chicken was full of flavor and cooked to perfection! The lamb & basa fish each had a unique yet tantalizing flavor which was all highlighted by the coconut rice. Followed up with some delicious vegetables. Highly recommend to anyone who enjoys Indian food.

Flavours and flavours!. While this is a small place, it's packed with flavours! The beef vindaloo is delicious with rice (though next time I will ask them to cut back on the salt). My boyfriend and I ordered a shrimp dish (with the kind of butter chicken sauce) and the sauce was AMAZING, only complaint was that there were only about 5 or 6 shrimp in the whole dish, which is not really worth the high price. Overall, the dining experience was good and we will go back again.

Tiny but decent. This place is tiny and easy to miss. Found it by chance (and I live blks away!). Their take on South Asian food is a little different with healthy ingredients, low fat and spices with a Fijian twist. Been here once with friends- food was good but nothing spectacular. The spice levels are decent but the curries lacked a certain something.....
Might give another try........... some day.

Tucked away into a parking lot along 111th st it would be easy to miss this restaurant, but those who do are missing out. The lunch "buffet" is quick, affordable and delicious. Due to space constraints, the various dishes are brought to you in serving dishes, and while this could theoretically result in slower service the fantastic staff make sure this is never the case. The owners make a point of using low fat and healthier ingredients (no butter in the butter chicken, no deep fried products, etc) so not only do you come away with a tasty meal, you can be certain you've had a reasonably healthy meal at that. The owner/manager Parkash has always been exceptionally friendly and amenable to special dietary concerns; I regularly dine here with a vegan friend and there is always an extra dish made up specially for him with no extra charge. Finally, and this is a major point for me, Indian Fusion has come to have the best naan on the city, hands down. While I have only ever been for the lunch special, and therefore have not tried the Fijian dishes on the menu, I have been told they are just as good. All around, this is a great restaurant, and a healthier alternative to the usual north Indian heavy fat, heavy meat options that make up the usual Indian fare in the city. If I were forced into one complaint, it's a lack of some form of dessert, I'd love to see their take on Kheer. Highly recommended.

I love this place.. I've been meaning to write a review for this place for quite some time now, and tonight could not have been a better time. When choosing an Indian restaurant (mind you, it's a Fijian Indian establishment) it's never the wrong choice to pick the small that's run by a family, because Indian food takes a lot of preparation along with a little bit of soul and a little love and only a family run establishment never fails in providing that quality of a home-cooked meal. Their menu is awesome, I'm a huge fan of their chicken biryani, and their lunch specials (especially the all-you- can-eat special) are at awesome prices; seriously you're not going to get better than this: awesome food, awesome prices...the other Indian restaurants are overpriced and just look like such rip-offs when compared to this place. Service is great, the people who run the place and take care of it are genuinely nice people: tonight, not only did they take my order just four minutes before closing but when I came to pick it up they noticed I had respiratory issues and actually arranged for a ride home...seriously, people this nice are hard to come by. I'll be a regular customer for sure!

Yummy food, very small space. We ate here last week; the food was delicious! Everything was very full in flavour yet I didn't feel heavy afterwards. The coconut naan was to die for and the pumpkin curry dish really stood out.
My only criticism would be that it is a very small space. The restaurant didn't have any background music on when we were there so we felt very uncomfortable having a conversation as the rest of the patrons in the small room could hear everything. Certainly not the place to go if you want to discuss anything at length. I will return for the delicious food though!

Great food, horrible service. We went there last night and it took 30 mins to get our appy ( samosas), at which time the waitress said she added an extra order of samosas on the house because it took so long, fair enough we thought. It then took 90 minutes longer to get our main dishes. We threatened to leave after being there for 1 hr 45 mins and the manager said she would comp 2 entrees and give us some free naan and tandoori chicken. We got the food finally and it was quite good, but when the cheque came only one entree was comped and they charged us for the supposedly free samosas and naan. When we brought this to the managers attention we were told we were being difficult and not nice people, lol. Needless to say we won't be back!

This was the best Indian food I've had in Edmonton by far. The food is indescribably (did I spell that right) delicious... Flavors like these are pure art and the heat (I chose 5, 5 being the warmest) was perfect! Everything is made from scratch and with fresh healthy ingredients and the staff really make you feel welcome. I did find the resturant to be a little on the small side but we got there around 7pm and it had died down by then so it really wasn't an issue. I really can't wait to go back and enjoy food from the fijian side of the menu... With a side of Saffron rice, garlic shrimp and mabye butter chicken and garlic naan to bring home lol. With as many choices as they have on their menu its tough to choose. Going family style with 4-6 people seems to be the best way to do it. That way you can try more ;)

Very Disappointed. I called this restuarant four times since the beginning of this year and all four times I was turned down for placing and order for pick-up. I was told by the owner/manager that he could not make the food for us to pick up becuase they were too busy. I mean who syas this.. maybe they should consider expanding or hiring more staff to cook food. It is sad that I have to write such a review, but after being turned down so many times.. what do they expect a customer to do. Everytime you go there there is a line up then, when you ask for take out they refuse.. this is not the way to do business.. sad to say.. this place has lost five customers over this attitude.. The least they can do is come up with a better plan of runnign the business and not disappointing customers who want to do take away.. Not impressed at all with this owner and his way of managing his restuarant.

Out of sight but not out of mind~. Two of my girlfriends live by Indian Fusion and we had been contemplating going there for weeks before we finally decided to be bold and try something new! When we arrived the waiter was extremly helpful and he had an excellent sense of humor! He seated us almost immediately and when asked advice about items on the menu he was well versed and knew alot about all of them. How impressive. He strived very hard to ensure that we (as well as the other customers) were kept happy and he did a fantastic job. He took our order and our food came back fairly quickly and it was fantastic. When he noticed he forgot something he actually ran to get it. All of our food was hot and delicious. This resturant serves some of the best jasmine rice and butter chicken on that side of town. Even the naan bread is good. however the best part is that there was no pressure to hurry up and leave after we had finished , there was also no pressure to pay the bill quickly. Over all the service was fantastic (and alot of fun), the food was delicious and the price was very reasonable. I would highly recommend this resturant.

Excellent Indian restaurant. I finally found an Indian restaurant I'm excited to order from in Edmonton. I ordered delivery, and everything about my food was excellent. I requested my food at a spice level of 5 and was pleasantly surprised that the food had kick (I find usually when I order from restaurants in Edmonton, spicy ends up being mild). All of the meat was cooked very well and had an excellent taste to it. Definitely going to become a regular!

The best butter chicken in town! I love this place and the people are awesome. Always a pleasure to visit!

Wow my fav place to have fresh dishes of authentic spicey dishes made just how i request from two of the most gracious hosts Parkash and Kim :)

Excellent food. Excellent service.. Absolutely the best food I've had in the city. Delicious, large portions and incredible service. Wonderful butter chicken. The food is terrific and not greasy or deep fried.
Noodles
Not a good idea. They bring the 'buffet' to your table which means that the food gets cold while you eat. Also, you don't have a choice so if you don't eat meat for example, they still bring you the option which is pretty wasteful. The owner is precious but the cold curry can't make up for it.

Incredible service. Great food. Very fresh ingredients. Good price. 6 dishes plus tea for the table was only $79.

I loved this place. The naan bread was amazing and the rest of the food our entire group loved. Ingredients were very fresh and not at all greasy. Chai tea was yummy. Service was very good.

We have never been disappointed with the quality of the service and the food. We come here on a semi regular basis or have them deliver. We always look forward to coming here.

It was fantastic, only visiting Edmonton for a few days and I may go there again before I go. Everything from scratch and a great atmosphere. Don't overlook the bean dishes!

Great place for lunch! Gracious hosts serving fantastic Indian dishes. Well worth trying out - once you do you'll find yourself coming back again and again.
