Review Cafe Mosaics-garneau - Edmonton

This place is such a gem for vegan food. The staff is amazing, our server was super friendly and helpful. I love the positive vibes of the whole place. We started with the chicken strips which were super yummy with the sauces. For myself I ordered their curry bowl which was so fresh, tasty and colourful. Everything came together so nicely! And to finish it off we shared the chocolate cake which is to die for. I honestly think about that cake weekly and how I need to have it again. If you have room for desert defiently get the cake. Overall, I love this place and will be back again for more yummy vegan meals.

Great vegetarian food in a cute location! Most of the dishes can be made gluten-free and/or vegan. The vegan pumpkin mac & cheese was so good - it also comes with a side of your choice (Caesar salad, spicy hash, fries, or grilled asparagus) and you have the option to top it with dairy cheese. The portion was generous, prices are reasonable, and the staff are very friendly. Their menu is very extensive and I'd love to try out more of their menu items, including the tiramisu! Overall, I loved my experience here and I would definitely come back if I'm ever in Edmonton again.

First day in Edmonton and we had to try this vegetarian restaurant. The menu is full of life with each option looking better than the other. I had the Laughing Monkey hot spot with the veggie mutton and it was delicious. The lavender ombre lemonade is also worth a try.

love love love the food here -it never disappoints. we were here for about 2 hours and the waitress didn't refill our water glasses, that's why I'm leaving 4 stars... otherwise the service was good

Best place for breakfast, brunch, snack, or anything at all. Loved the interior, service, ambience, food, and everything there. Me and my boyfriend went there consecutively several times and the staff was so friendly and helpful. The food is too good to be true. Doesn't matter what you order hangover burger or kamboucha or tea latte, or salad or even something as simple as cheese grill, everything is on another level and food combine with their service is destined to win your heart along with stomach and tastebuds. Edmonton visit without Cafe mosaics is simply incomplete.

A great place with good ambience and good food. We tried almost every item on the menu and amazing taste. Server was friendly and speed was great. I wanted to give 5 stars but won’t due to a misleading experience. We were from calgary, there is no mention on their menu as to 18% gratuity they charged. I always admire a good service and without looking the bill added 15% tip, realizing later on that so ended up paying over $45 in tip when prices are already on high end. Not sure if we were profiled as someone that they think we would not have tipped so decided to add compulsory tip. It’s perfectly acceptable if you mention on your menu or let people be aware somehow. Felt misled. Still a great place but My fault not looking the bill ahead so feel ripped.

Amazing! Came here for lunch with a buddy, and she was thoroughly impressed. Hangover burger lived up to its name and was very flavorful. I loved the spicy hash as well. Mystery burger was good too. Their menu is nothing to be scoffed at, I approved of their beer selection, too.. Staff was great. Will be back again!

Would recommend 100% Perfect place if you're looking for vegetarian/vegan options. They also offer many GF options and adapt dishes for GF needs. We were very happy with our service and will love to go back if we're ever back in the city.

We love this spot so much, my husband and I have tried most of the food on the menu and love it all, especially the pho, and the Lawrence burger! One of our favourite spots in Edmonton. Highly recommend!

I used to love this place but I was extremely disappointed when I came here the other week. Not only did it take forever for someone to greet us, but our food took a very long time and when it did come, I found a hair in my food.. I was already starving at this point and by the time my food arrived, my friend had finished and the timing of our day was thrown off because it all took so long and then they didn't even acknowledge the inconvenience. I had been looking forward to the lunch so much since we were celebrating a special occasion so it was even more disappointing to get that kind of treatment especially since I used to be such a big fan.

Cafe mosaic is amazing. Some of the best food I have ever eaten! The staff were warm and polite, the prices were reasonable and the food was spectacular. We liked it so much that my husband and I, along with our three little boys visited three times during our recent visit to Edmonton. :)

First off I would like to say that the food was great. But the HOUR AND A HALF wait for it was inexcusable! No sorry or apology. No "we'll take your drinks off the bill for you" And actually the drinks came out super late and separate from each other. At one point we thought our server forgot my friend's drinks. No, they were just 5 mins apart from each other. And I don't understand when you finish your drink why a server wouldn't suggest another one, especially when we had been waiting an hour for our food? When the food actually did arrive, it was really good. SO, moral of story, a restaurant cannot survive on great food alone. There has to be great service attached to it and for that, I probably won't be going back.

I've had a lot of pancakes in my life, but the new pancakes v2 is possibly the worst pancake I've ever had. I don't know what changed, but the base pancake tastes like flour and water. No flavor at all! Add a cut in half store bought vegan sausage and some not so ripe fresh berries and you've got yourself an over priced over rated $15 terrible breakfast. Really a shame.

I'm more and more conflicted everytime I go to Cafe mosaics these days. I remember over ten years ago when I first started frequenting waaaay before the renos, and I was never disappointed and ended up there at least once or twice a week. It seems that the last couple of years it had become just another trendy Whyte Ave spectacle. While the renos are great, I find it is always way too busy for the staff to handle, and while the new menu is good, they took a lot of my favorites away. The last few times we went there we either had terrible service, or the food was terrible, or both. Here's an example of the last time we visited....we get there and see 3 or 4 vacant tables but they are all dirty (dishes etc.) We wait a few minutes and no one notices so we venture over to a table and clean it off our selves. I went to the restroom and grabbed a wet paper towel and wiped the table and moved the dishes and garbage over to the dirty table table beside us. About 15 mins later a waitress comes by and gives us menus and says she'll be right back. Another 15 mins before she returns to clean the table beside us. Finally after 30 mins she returns to take our order. We order drinks and food. The food only took 15 mins to arrive but we still don't have our drinks. Another server brings us our drinks. In the meantime I notice my daughter's meal is wrong and my veggie burger is raw in the middle. Waitress does not return. It is very busy and chaotic so we decide to be more patient. After another 20 minutes of picking around the food we start to get up to leave. Waitress swoops in and gives us the cheque, never asks how everything was or why our food was essentially untouched. We pay and leave. The people are super friendly but it seems very disorganized and the food quality is severely lacking. This is a sad review for me to leave.

Great place, great staff. Can't find many places who are so caring about me being a Gluten/wheat free vegan! They have options for it all, and I could eat there daily!

Great vegan eats and treats! The drinks are extra special! The raspberry chocolate cupcake is a must!

The vegan pho is to die for! Highly recommend this restaurant!

Rating the lattes here as the best lattes in the whole country. Also the most hearty delicious food!

The quality seems to consistently go down. What happened to the tofu scramble portions? They use to be huge and now they're half the size. What gives!?

Food is always great. Juices, Moscow Mules are delicious and a good beer selection. Love the Mystery Burger and "Wings". We love it as we're vegan but family are not so everyone is happy. Weekends are very busy so get there early for a group. We had 10 of us so waited about an hour which is expected when they only hold about 50, but they were great at communicating it with us.

It's nice to have delicious vegan options in a cute environment! Just had their mystery burger and it was amazing!

The old owner had this place way better a few years ago when they still owned it defiantly has changed especially on the menu and with the new owners

Not my favourite vegan place to eat. I feel they are too focused on exotic ingredients. However staff are friendly and service has always been great.
