Review Syphay Restaurant - Edmonton

We went here to celebrate our friend's birthday and ordered Spicy Pad Thai with chicken and shrimp, Spicy Matsaman Curry with beef, and the pineapple fried rice. Everything were really tasty and the servings were huge for the 3 of us. The spice level and flavor were on point. The customer service was really good too - they'd often come by our table to refill our water and ask if everything's good. I will definitely come back here and recommend to try this place!

Never had a bad dish from this place. The food is consistently delicious and the portions are generous. A favorite is the pad thai with tofu. If you order take away, the wait for pick up is usually at least an hour and my last few orders were at least 15 minutes late.

Friend from out of town wanted to get Thai food, as where he lives, doesn't have a restaurant that offers it. Looked up online and remembered trying to go to their DT location, but they were closed that day. This location is relatively new and closer to me, so decided to finally give them a try. Location is great and parting is limited but lots were parking and picking up mostly for delivery. When you walk in, it's all open concept and very welcoming. We were just the second group to arrive as we showed up just as they opened. Their menus are very nicely laid out and magnetized. Been awhile since I've had Thai food and just the smell, which was delicious was distracting me in a great way. We decided on some Salad Rolls, Pad Sin Lon with Chicken and Gang-Dang with Shrimp and Coconut Rice. Salad rolls were freshly made and very good. The peanut sauce was thicker than I'm used to, but very tasty. When our two meals came out, the first thing I noticed, besides that the serving were generous was the plates and bowls. They all matched, were beautiful and I loved the designs and shapes. We shared our food and WOW; it was incredible! The flavors were making my mouth happy. Even though I could feel myself getting a bit full, I didn't want to stop as it tasted soo darn good! We packed up our small leftovers, gave them a generous tip and I will be back for sure to try more of their menu!

Very decent Thai food. Everything was delicious though I wished the som tum was a little bit stronger on the fish sauce flavour. The pad Lao is a refreshing and not too sweet version of the Thai. Service was great and efficient. We also like the ambience that was bright and spacious.

The best place to get Thai food along Calgary Trail, you can never go wrong going to Syphay! The food is all good, although the service can be a little slow during the lunch rush - it’s always worth the wait! I’d recommend any of their curry and fried rice dishes as well as the pad thai!

Well worth it. Food is very well cooked, flavor is amazing, quantity is perfect to match price. Will be trying many different dishes often from this place when Edmonton lacks good restaurants to begin with.

This is a fantastic, locally owned small business! The dishes are fresh & authentic and immediately bring back memories of my travel to Thailand!

This restaurant is AMAZING! Super yummy and authentic Thai food. We got the mango sticky rice and it was delicious. Highly recommend!

Been there 2 times the pad Thai was so good all food is delicious even its kind of slow but it's worth the wait server is so friendly too will definitely come back!!

Easily the best Thai restaurant in town. Gang Dang, Pad Curr Seafood & Goong Krateum are my favorite dishes.

Flavour is fantastic but there is very minimal meat for the amount your paying for each dish

Had the opportunity to try some delicious Thai food at Syphay Restaurant including pad thai, fried rice, cashew chicken and a red curry. Flavour was tasty, service was polite, prices were very fair especially given the quantity, presentation was simple yet effective, and the atmosphere helped to complete the experience! Very glad they are offering halal chicken options as I hope to return many times in the future! I definitely recommend everyone check this place out and show them some support! 🤤🤤

We've been going to syphay for years now. South and north location. Luv the food! We always order pad Thai beef with lots of peanuts, sweet and sour chicken (don't know the actual name on the menu) and phenang beef curry.
