The coffee is also some of the smoothest around, and I worked in an artisan coffee shop for 4 years before. Whenever I am in the area this is the spot I go to

From the aesthetic to the owners' family friends chilling in the restaurant, Favoloso 'screams' locally owned, Italian restaurant.
The pizzas are some of the best in the city, and I've tried over 20 sit-down pizzerias in Edmonton. The wood-fired, crispy, charred, thin crust is one of my favourite in town. Some places are "worth it if you're in the area," but Favoloso is "worth driving for," and Favoloso definitely falls in the latter camp.
I haven't tried them yet, since the pizzas are so dang good, but Favoloso also has many other Italian dishes and desserts on their menu.
Again, worth driving for!

I have been to Favoloso four times and I will definitely return. I have been extremely happy with the food and service. The food here is very authentic, the pizza is thin crust and definitely enough toppings, also you must try their Favoloso salad, everything is so delicious....yummy. A bonus is that their food portions are enough and you won't leave there hungry. Desserts are also very tasty, that is all I can say! Come down and enjoy a great meal and have a chat with the awesome owner. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality Georgio. Skip the dishes is also available, so worth it. :)

Excellent pizza. The crust was the best part of the part pizza. I would rate the pizza 9/10. I'd definitely be coming back for more pizza.
The espresso however was a little underextracted and sour tasting. However, the cappuccino was well done.
The chocolate sausage tasted amazing and presented very well.

Giorgio hosted our daughter's wedding dinner at Favoloso for us and it was absolutely amazing. He planned a series of authentic Italian courses which came together to make an incredibly delicious, special meal for all the guests. He and his staff went above and beyond our expectations in beautifully setting up the tables and decor, and giving us top notch, personal service throughout the evening. Of course each dish was deliciously "to die for," even the individualized meal that he put together for one vegan guest. This is a terrific place to host a family or work dinner, or simply to have a wonderful meal out with family or friends.

What can be said other than I believe I've finally found the best pizza in Alberta. This is some of the best pizza I've had in my life.....
All toppings Are INSANE high quality, and beyond generous with the quantity. all cooked on top of the cheese which is rare.
The dough and sauce are beyond 10/10 ..next time I'm gonna try more basic 1 or 2 topping to explore the basics even more.

This little place is right by my house. I have never eaten there before and that was obviously a mistake because the food is EXCELLENT.
I'd heard the lasagna was very good but unfortunately it was sold out by the time I called to order. We had to settle for the ravioli which turned out to be a gift because it was some of the best ravioli I've ever had. Nice thin dough and deliciously on the inside.
We ordered the Favoloso salad and it was excellent as well. The appetizer of crostini was great too. The bread crispy and light...not doughy at all. Get over and try this neighbourhood gem!!!

Deeelicious! What a gem. Handmade, locally owned, fantastic service, owner/chef followed up on how we liked our dishes! First time but will be back. Went for the recommended top-seller spicy ham and mushroom pizza, while my date had the ravioli. So good, you’ve got to try this place!!
Edit: went back the next night for supper with the whole family! Everyone thought it was terrific!

"Truly authentic Italian food"
Since I discovered Favoloso Café and Pizzeria every other "Italian" place in the city just doesn't measure up any more.
The food is fresh, simple, made from scratch and delicious, just about every reason authentic Italian food is renowned for.
I was born and raised in Italy and I am telling you folks it doesn't get more authentic then this.
I have gone to Favoloso for lunch with a big group of colleagues, by my self, took my family for dinner, ordered take out for a corporate event or just on a casual week-day evening.....no matter what the occasion I was never disappointed and walked out feeling amazing.
The place is modern, clean and inviting.
Giorgio the owner/chef goes above and beyond to make everyone feel special and welcome.
On my multiple visits I have tried a bit of everything:
- the pizza is simply the best you will have in the city
- the lasagna made from scratch, multipe times a week, is fantastic comfort food on a cold day
- the carpaccio paired with complimentary flat bread fresh off the oven is one of my lunch favourites
- tiramisu (again made fresh in the house) is to die for
- Pastas, coffes and salads are all delicious
Check out this special place I guarantee you won't be disappointed!!!!

Just had lunch here for the first time, and I'm excited to go back! I had a salad, which was light, fresh, and flavourful. Thankfully my friend ordered a pizza, and was kind enough to let me try a piece. WOW, the pizza is SO GOOD! Honestly the best pizza I've ever had. I'm new to authentic Italian pizza, and found it much lighter and more flavorful than the chain-store pizza we usually order. I don't think I'll be going back to chain-pizza after trying the real deal!
The service was attentive and friendly, and clearly Giorgio the owner and the staff aim to please and are eager to provide an authentic Italian food experience. I'm excited to go back with a group of friends so we can order an assortment of pizzas to share! And I hear that the lasagna is amazing!

This place makes fantastic pizza, some of the best I've had in Edmonton. Fresh ingredients, delicious combinations. The restaurant is clean and Giorgio is amazing. I've always taken pizzas out and eaten them with family and friends, with a bottle of wine or two. It's never disappointing.
