The burgers and blooming onion are so amazing! Top quality food with top notch service! My wifey and I definitely are making this our go to dinner place for date nights! I highly recommend eating here hands down the best food!
First visit was last Friday night. They quickly found us a table even though it was super busy. The staff were some of the best I've had In a very long time. Attentive, working hard and even if it wasn't their table they stopped to grab an empty glass or remove dishes. The food was fast, tasted yummy and the drinks were great too! We will definitely be back soon! Thanks again!

Absolutely love this place! The hubby and I are here every week, love the service, our favorite ladies Heidi and Kelsey, the food and the long island's. The prices are very reasonable as well. If I have one complaint it would be that they took the kettle chips off the menu which were my fav! If you have not been to Jonesy's you should most definitely try it out!
Went for a birthday dinner on Monday and the food was wonderful along with amazing service. Will definitely go back, I have never had anything bad to say about Jonesy's

I LOVE restaurants like this.. You know ones that are NOT franchises.. The cute little "hole in the wall" places. Came here for the first time last night and had a great meal for an awesome price. My husband had the whisky burger with poutine.. He loved the burger itself and the curds used for the poutine. I had the Chipotle chicken salad it was so good. My only suggestion would be to add a wedge of lime along with the salad.. That would go so well. ;)

We had the keto burger and the rib platter. My husband said his keto burger was very tasty. I really wanted ribs and these were perfectly cooked and sauced. Friendly, prompt service. Hadn’t been here since wing nights in high school but we will definitely be back! I am so grateful the staff here obviously take the time to make sure they’re selling quality food.
I have eaten here a multiple occasions trying different things everytime, in restaurant and takeout. I really like their food. Good comfort food with a large selection so finding something even for the picky eaters should not be a problem. Good atmosphere, food is fast and warm.My only issue was that I ordered the beer battered fish, the batter was much too thick, However the fish was meaty, fresh and juicy. I chalked it up to a new cook error.
Also don't make my mistake and order mozza sticks with takeout, that will never do them justice.
All in all, I would recommend Jonesey's.
Jonesy’s is always excellent in my experiences. The burgers are tasty, the ribs are very good, my girlfriend had the chicken parm recently and she loved it. We will be back soon.
People have been raving about this place so we finally checked it out. I was craving poutine and it didn’t disappoint. I liked the homey atmosphere and the service was nice and quick. Parking is limited but there’s some street parking down the side road.
Update: we’ve since gone back for wings, their breakfast and I also tried their shrimp tacos. Everything has been delicious and it’s definitely a go-to place for us now. I would definitely get the shrimp tacos again, yum!!
Very delicious lunch here today! The staff are attentive and accommodating, the food was quick to come out and absolutely delicious! We will be back!
Went with a large group, everyone's food was correct, service was quick and prompt.
The onion blossom was great, I had the blue cheese burger with fries. Perfectly cooked homemade patty and tons of fries. My wife had the butter chicken wrap with sweet potato fries, and my son had the kids macaroni and cheese.
Only complaints are that they could have brought out coloring stuff to keep my little guy content, and that his food was last to arrive.
Really delicious diner food. Great quality and good portions. Only had burgers and fish & chips and they are yum! Onion loaf so good too! Will be back for sure!
When spring arrives I love going for long drives with the sun roof open. Typically, an unvisited restaurant is my destination. Such was the case when I recently stopped in at Jonsey’s Restaurant & Lounge in Bird’s Hill. The restaurant was another of the locally owned places that Canstar readers suggested I visit. Even though I arrived for lunch rather late, the establishment was brimming with guests. The server was cheerful and helpful when I couldn’t decide what to order from the huge menu. She suggested the daily special and I was all set.
Food and service was excellent on our visit. It was our first dinner in Canada and we were surprised by the Canadian version of ice tea. I had the nightly special which was a chipotle steak with baked beans and onion strings. It was great although the steak was a little small. We also had the Caeser salad with chicken. There was plenty of chicken and the salad was large. Guys at the next table had the onion blossom and hamburgers, gosh I wish my diet would have allowed that, they looked delicious.
A Great place for steaks. We've been a few times and enjoyed each visit. I wouldn't recommend the stir fry, but their appetizers are fantastic (especially the onion blossom, SO GOOD!) Their steaks and chicken are excellent and the drinks are decently priced too.
Nice Place. My family went there with our friends and their young daughter. Great food all around. The burgers were outstanding as well as the butter chicken. The restaurant was crazy busy but the waitresses kept things running smoothly. Great place.
Worth a Visit. I've had a couple trips out to Jonesy's and both times I've been very pleased. It's a laid back family restaurant with good food and ridiculously inexpensive prices. (Lobster and steak for 24.99 on Friday's - I mean, c'mon). Also, the menu has plenty to choose from.
The service is fast and friendly. Will be returning.

Awesome!!!. We play soccer in Birds Hill and our team stumbled upon Jonesy's this past year. We hope for weekend soccer games now so we can stop in every chance we get for Awesome food and LOW priced drinks! This place is WIN, WIN!
I've taken several of my clients here and am always happy with the service and quality of meals. Large portions, good variety, great options for their poutine including butter chicken poutine, and very reasonable prices. Definitely stop by if you are in the area.
Delicious!. I've been to Jonesy's numerous times. The food and service have always been great. I love a big salad and their salads are meal size! I've also enjoyed their steaks; always cooked to perfection and perfectly seasoned as well as their ribs; always fall off the bone. The french fries are skinny cut and crispy. I will return and suggest to anyone that they should give it a try!
Had an amazing experience at this restaurant today. The ribs were incredible, and the young man that served us was very polite and friendly! This place is great, will most definitely be bringing the family back shortly.
The waitress we had was incredible. Great service. Very friendly. My steak was perfect. And the homemade BBQ sauce was so great i had to bring some home with me.

Food Lacking Everything. Having only moved out of East St Paul a year ago, I have had my fill of Jonesy's visits. Breakfasts, lunches, dinners, and never any problems. Good service and good food. Last night however, will prompt me to never visit this restaurant again. I am not sure if they changed ownership or what happened but the food is just plain crap. Since my last visit, 4-5 months ago they also put out new menus. Usually that means higher prices. However, in this case I think they kept the lower prices and chose to lower their food quality instead. For dinner I ordered the Sesame Chicken Crunch Salad ($10.99), it sounded really good. What I got was a bowl of salad mix covered in the Kraft Asian Sesame dressing with some tortilla chips and a deep fried chicken burger on top. I was expecting at least a homemade dressing. The salad is no different from one you can get at McDonalds or Wendys.
My bf's dinner was no better. He got a buffalo chicken sandwich with a cup of cream of mushroom soup. He said the soup tasted like one out of a can. His chicken sandwich in the menu was described as a chicken breast dipped in hot sauce. He got a pre-breaded (you know the frozen kind) fried chicken patty with only a tad of hot sauce on the bun. The hot sauce was basically non-existent and you couldn't even taste any with every bite.
Service to begin with was horrible. We had to wait at least 5 minutes to be acknowledged by one of the many workers that passed right by us continuously. Once we were seated however, service was good.
Definitely will not be back. It is unfortunate because this restaurant was so good at one point. Too bad they let their standards slide.
Winnipeg needs more of these restaurants i love this restaurant jonesys is a good comfort food and family fare restaurant i am never disapointed with there food and there hamburgers have to be the best in Winnipeg an they have I think the only onion blossom in Winnipeg it's Effing amazing!!!
I have had about everything on the menu and everything has been amazing I'm very impressed best chicken ceasar salads and the best burgers ecspcially BBQ bacon mushroom burger
Ordered Chicken Parmigiana with a double side of fries, others at the table ordered stuffed potato, steaks and some mashed taters, Monterey chicken, with garlic toast. The chicken Parm was not very large but was very tender and heavily adorned with cheese (tasted excellent) fries looked a bit unwieldy but the fork managed them quite nicely. Simple but delicious combination with the gravy. Gravy was pretty thick but paired well with a fork full of fries. This was my first time here, and the gravy was Definitely poutine worthy. I'll have to get that next time and see how it is.
Our server, Amy, was pleasant and friendly. Would eat here again when I'm in the neighbourhood.
Amazing service and even better food. The onion blossom was better than the major chain that introduced it! It was nice to get to try some local caught fish and chips with a local beer during our visit.

Can I give ten stars because WOW!! I must say this is hands down my favourite place for a crispy chicken sandwich. (You can sub the bbq chicken for crispy) holy moly I am salivating writing out this review rn. The burger was so good. Onion rings were top notch, cheese cake is heavenly and the deep fried pickles were a nice surprise haha!! I’ll be back here for sure.
I was so impressed by the outstanding customer service at Jonesy's. I came at a dinner rush during burger week and every employee was super friendly, professional and timely. Everyone I dealt with (hostess, bartender) made sure they acknowledged me right away for my take-out order even though the restaurant was swamped.
Everything was incredibly well packaged and delicious. The only complaint I have is not getting a fork for my salad but luckily I carry some in my vehicle. I can't wait to come back and try some of the regular menu!
First time my husband & I have been to Jonesy's & we enjoyed it. Requested medium rare steak and came out more rare than medium plus it was very tough and chewy. Received a brand new steak and it was superb!! That was great service!

So so good!! The waitress that served us went above and beyond. I tried the fries ( no lie so delish- no condiments required!) The street tacos shrimp and chicken were very flavorful! The calamari was very yummy too! Worth the drive to Birds Hill town to try this place out!!
