Review Shy's Place - Dundas

This beautiful location speaks for itself, with an 1800 aesthetic it was very elegant. We had the pleasure of enjoying the patio/outdoor section of the restaurant and it was absolutely gorgeous. Unfortunately I did have to give a rating of 4, because upon our reservations we had an online questionnaire basic questions (how many guests, being okay with protocols ect.) I mentioned it was my birthday celebration, and it seemed that it was completely disregarded upon dining. The server did make a simple mistake taking my order by hearing another menu item, but when the food came out she quickly got the food I had ordered originally. Which I did extremely appreciate. But I feel like they could have acknowledged my birthday simply by making a special birthday drink or offered some sort of sweets. We did spend quiet a bit of money per couple. The staff did apologize and I really hope to visit again and have a different experience. The drinks were stiff and the food was absolutely phenomenal (and made fresh in house) . This will definitely keep us interested to visit again.

The most comfortable experience you will ever experience! Who doesn’t want a blanket and a heater served with local ingredients, in house pasta and pizza and more! The new spring menu will entice you to come out weekly. You feel at home at Shy’s Place.

This place blew me away. We came for a late dinner and the server was kind enough to still offer the full menu after I mentioned it was out first time there. Food and drinks were incredible and the atmosphere was top notch. We sat in a little side patio that had comfy seating with heaters and blankets on every chair in case customers got cold. I would recommend this place to anyone that is in the area. After our experience the server gave us free drink coupons to ensure we would come again. Great job Shy’s Place. We will most definitely be back.

Had a fantastic experience! Online reservation system was easy to use and guidelines were clear. I appreciated using their system because when we arrived, they had our table already set and ready for us. The food was delicious and service was fun and attentive. Shy's has become our favourite place to spend our time and $$. Definitely worth it!

Awesome place! I come here often and the food is always so delicious! Also the servers and manager are incredibly friendly and welcoming.

Cool place, great vibe, amazing service, huge portions and value and the food..... delicious!! If you don't live here, it's worth the drive to Waterdown.

Wow…this is a hidden gem. We had the pleasure of visiting Shy’s place today for brunch. We were a party of 7 and we were seated upstairs in our own private room!! Our server was top notch (I believe his name was Brandon). He knew his stuff and was extremely personable. The food came quickly and there was plenty of it!! All 7 people loved their meals and I wouldn’t have changed a second of our experience. We will be visiting Shy’s again in the near future ❤️❤️❤️
