a hidden gem, open weekends from late May to December. Soup specials with fresh bread is my go-to meal. I like to treat myself at least once a month. Scones are fabulous!

One of my favourite stops in Duncan. Devastated they stopped making bread. Breakfast will never be the same. You can’t go wrong but there is something special about their cinnamon buns

Me and my family go here every weekend, everything about this place is amazing including the food, location, and staff. If you haven't been here before it is deffinitly worth the try. The brioche are the best!

This is a hidden Oasis in Duncan . . . worth the drive from Victoria on a sunny after afternoon.

Absolutely delicious!. We came across this quaint European bakery by chance over the weekend and stopped to check it out. I had no idea it was there but it was easy to find - I was so happy I stopped by! There was a large selection of mainly dessert pastries and some savory items like individual pizzas - not the normal cheese, Hawaiian & Deluxe pizzas, but really different individual "savory tarts" like tomato flambé, and a few other varieties. Also there were a few quiche choices - I tried the spinach & Chevre cheese one and it was delicious. They also served Banoffee cake, a bread pudding cake and my favorite was the rhubarb crumble cake - it was so moist! We ate there and also took some pastries home with us! Tip: go here on a nice sunny day to sit outside on the deck and take in the views - spectacular! We sat inside as it had been raining but there were no fans and no doors open so it got rather hot inside as the ovens are in full view. I will definitely be back to sample more pastries! Highly recommended.

Very Nice Country Bakery.. All the seats were full with happy customers, so I bought my bread, pastries and coffee and took it home with me. I will be back, especially for the bread, it tasted excellent.

One of the finest bakeries I've had the pleasure, nay, honour of visiting. To start, the baking is the absolute best I've ever had IN MY LIFE. Proprietor is classically trained and it shows in his creations. It is wholly apparent he actually cares about what he does. And for the product he puts out, the price can't be beat. He and his wife took a piece of scorched earth in the middle of North Cowichan and transformed it into an oasis complete with their beautiful rustic rancher home, vineyard, a small farm, vegetable garden and the bakery with a mountain view. On a personal note: to highlight the care they put into the community, when my wife was battling cancer, the owners on their own accord baked special cookies in support of her treatment and gave her all the proceeds. Simply put: the best baking around from some of the best human beings I know.

Absolutely amazing place to go for a wide range of baked goods, desserts, and brunch/lunch items. So much so that it's very difficult to choose what to eat because everything looks delicious. Saison is only open seasonally on the weekends; finding seating can be a challenge, but there is a large patio with a view of farmland and Mt Prevost. Would highly recommend to both locals and visitors.

Awesome location on the edge of a grassy valley. Large deck is great when weather allows. Bakery is very good. Coffee is self serve airports but ok. Only open at weekends so gets very busy. Be ready for a lineup.

Visited the lovely botanical cidery next door and a customer told us not to miss Saison, the amazing Market Bistro and Vineyard next door and she was right! Besides the view off the sunny deck, our fresh pesto pasta was perfectly cooked, sublimely flavoured, and pretty to look at. But it was the incredible selection of desserts, pastries, tarts and baked goods that really wowed, out in the middle of nowhere. Actually somewhere now... as the area is getting so well known for it’s agri-tourism! Before we arrived in Nanaimo on the backroads we had a basket of fresh produce, a homemade pie, basil and peach jellies and a few bottles of wine and ciders! A thoroughly enjoyable and tasty road trip! A must visit!!

Saison is a great place to visit on a Saturday or Sunday. It's fame has spread by word of mouth with no advertising so that it is always busy. Along with the breads and deserts there is soup and other possibilities for a light lunch. Rain or shine its fun to go there.

It’s such a treat to visit Saison on the weekend. The vineyard is a beautiful setting for tasty baking. Go at Christmas time for the amazing cookies and the best Stollen.
