Review La Serenata - Dollard-des-Ormeaux

Celebrated our daughter's baptism, and Angelo couldn't have been more accommodating. Great service and great food!! I couldn't ask for a better place to celebrate such an occasion. I would definitely recommend for events or for dinner.

The absolute BEST Italian food in montreal. The quality, price and service are unmatched. I come here all the time and will continue to come here every time I want good, authentic Italian. 100/10!!!

I had veal. My partner had chicken. The entrées were ok. Vegetables were great. I had the mussels, she had the salad. We both thought those were great. Food was well prepared and presented.

Went for dinner Saturday Feb. 6, 2022, and I must say that this restaurant has gone down hill. The room was full, and clearly not at 50% capacity. It used to be on my list of favorite upscale, pricey Italian restaurants on the West Island and last night was just not very good. The bruschetta appetizers were stale and tasteless. My husband's veal dish was paper thin, mushy and tasteless. The vegetables were way too al dente. My fish was good , but a very miniscule portion. I'm a small person and don't eat that much and i had to eat the rolls to feel I had enough to eat. Suffice to say they will not be seeing me back anytime soon. La Serenata , you need to improve your standards to back in the day!

Great environment, soup of the day was amazing, cream& truffles pasta and veal were good. My friendtolk me the coffee is great. They have a huge pepper mill.

Good spot in the West Island especially if you’re looking to have a romantic date. The restaurant is pretty small which makes it really intimate. The service is great. I have been going there for years and eveything is still consistent. Price wise, it’s decent. Nice wine selection. Isabelle

A wonderful dinner was had in celebration of my sons 24th birthday. Seafood linguini pescatore, lasagna and the mushroom risotto was all delicious. Would return.

La seranata is the real deal. My husband and I have been going to this restaurant for at least 20 years. The food is fantastic and the service is amazing. Danny you are one in a million.

I had my daughter's Baptism at La Serenata and it was perfect. The food was delicious and my guest were so impressed. The staff were friendly and very helpful but the owner/chef really went out of his way to make sure everything was perfect. Thank you La Serenata for making my daughters baptism so special & memorable.

Night out on a Saturday with a large group for a 30th birthday dinner. The place looks great and is very welcoming. Service was quick and drinks were replenished often as were the bread baskets. The plates were generous, we had spagetti a la carbonara and linguine primavera. Delicious! Nice wine selection altough mostly italian. Live music was a nice touch but they play at your table which I found makes it harder to hear others and not really worth it. Overall good experience

I was invited to a dinner with co-workers, I was hesitant about "yet another italian place" in the west island. I was wrong - grilled octopus was great. All the staples where on par, and the lamb was a home run. Definitely try it once if you live around here.

I didn't work for us. To be honest, on Saturday evening when we went, there were a few big parties and the place was full. They have live music and the atmosphere is not bad.<br/>For the food and the service, this is a different story.<br/>Service is really slow; takes a long time to get the main dish, but this is not a real problem when you are with friends, as you can talk in the meantime (if the musicians are not near your table).<br/>We were 6 people at our table. Two ordered fish and one the breaded chicken breast. They all said it was OK. Far from excellent, but acceptable.<br/>The other 3, we ordered the grilled chicken breast. What can go wrong with this? Some may cook it too dry, but even cheap restaurants succeed to make it on the right side. But this one, was like rubber. It was impossible to eat. And it was not a one time cooking error, because they were all 3 the same. It was a disaster. We left it all in the plate untouched. <br/>The worst, from my point of view, was their attitude when we gave back the plates with the full breast on it. They were not surprised at all, which shows they are used to it and they even argued with us that if we should have told them immediately it is not good. The fact that we only told them it was bad when they came to collect the plates absolves them of any fault. They offered us a free desert, but as we didn't take desert, we had to pay for the meal in full. We didn't want to make a big fuzz out of it, so we paid and left. Don't expect to see us again there.

BEST ITALIAN FOOD IN MTL. Angelo and the rest of the staff are amazing!!<br/><br/>I have been back 3 times now and I keep getting pleasantly surprised by the different dishes on the menu!<br/><br/>The pasta al vongole and the salmon are two of my favorites.<br/>If you are in a large group, ask ahead of time for the selection of italian appetizers which includes the best calemari in montreal, sausages friend in red and green peppers, fried zucchini, and a prosciutto and veggie platter. <br/><br/>Very very happy with this place! :)

A friend recommended La Serenata as she knew we wanted a small intimate setting with traditional Italian food and good service- that is exactly what we got ! Excellent food , excellent service - a very pleasant experience .

Great classic Italian cuisine. At La Seranata you get a range of traditional Italian dishes. The menu isn't too daring but everything is very well done. The veal in particular is always fresh and tasty. The service is next to none here, the entire staff is extremely friendly!<br/><br/>Sure this is not go to blow away any foodies with creative cuisine but for a neighbourhood Italian joint, you can't go wrong!
