It was my husband birthday, he said his burger was good, I had the fish and side salad, the salad was good but there was apple slices that were brushed, the purple slaw was sour, the fish was good but the batter very greassey,I didn't finish. The staff sang him happy birthday, and had blueberry cheese cake.

The food served here is superb. Judging from the taste of the lobster, scallops and other seafood items one can tell that the dishes here are served fresh. The service is on par with the food, the lady serving us was incredibly nice and helpful. Overall experience was amazing.

The best place for good food at a reasonable price, and a quintessential maritime atmosphere (especially if you’re here on a Friday for live music!). During our evening we had a great meal, listened to great music, had a great chat with the owners who were celebrating with the rest of the patrons. I will be back!

Seems like a great place to sit on the patio however we arrived at 7:45 pm and it was too cool to sit outside. The kitchen also closes at 7:30 although the Pub doesn't close until 9 pm so we weren't able to try any of their food options. They also don't seem to offer many non alcoholic drink options besides sodas. You can get a sober caesar and one non alcoholic beer. With so many sober options available on the market it would be nice to see some added to the drink menu. We will be back to try their food another time, when we can sit outside.

The place was PACKED, but it was worth the wait. This was the best plate of fish and chips I had in a long time and they had a great selection of local craft brew. I definitely recommend stoping by.

We found Sydney Street Pub on a recommendation from our accommodation owner. So glad we did! Absolutely the best pub meal we have had in Nova Scotia since we arrived. Fabulous seafood chowder brimming with fresh seafood in a lovely broth. Had the Caesar salad with Lobster and big chunks of lobster for a very reasonable price. Great live music, really friendly place. The owners even shared some birthday cake! Will be back. If you are in Digby definitely stop in!

Ordered the Swedish meatballs and wings for pick up. Swedish meatballs were so small, no larger then a quarter in diameter and the wings were over deep fried. Both items were lack luster. I've had the gnocchi before and absolutely loved it, so I'm terribly confused as to why these other to items were so bad! $7.50 for maybe, barely an ounce of meatballs! Utterly pathetic! But, that gnocchi was so good, I'll give them another chance, but please avoid those two items as to not be disappointed. Please bring back the gnocchi!

We stopped here while passing through digby for the night and had a wonderful time! The drinks were tasty, the 3 dips dish was massive, there was live music, and the staff were welcoming and friendly. Thanks so much for showing a couple of visitors a good time in your pub 😊
