Review Mt Fuji Sushi Restaurant - Delta

It’s tough to beat the restaurant under the previous owners who were so kind and thoughtful with their food preparation. The new place is a classic version of the big rolls covered in sauces and other dishes that aren’t super traditional. Their sushi pizza is a little overpriced but tasty, the bentos are standard and the sushi is fine. Overall, a classic suburb Japanese food spot to add into the mix, but nowhere near on par with what’s going on in Vancouver.

Wow. This sushi was absolutely exquisite! I ordered the assorted sushi combo to taste a little bit of everything. The scoop: Miso soup: nice quality miso with fresh tofu chunks. Very good. Assorted Nigiri and salmon maki: they had the perfect rice to fish ratio and the fish was fresh and smooth, melted in your mouth. The presentation for takeout was pretty good.

Really loved the volcano roll, and the inari were great too! Probably don’t get the spicy pork don — it was delicious, but definitely tasted more Korean than Japanese 😊 Service was great. Felt kinda bad since we saw on the Covid tracing info sheet that only three groups had dined in the previous night. Tip generously! I want this place to stick around. Best sushi we’ve had in Ladner, I think.

Incredible quality - great flavor combinations. Savory and smooth melt in your mouth tuna.

BEST sushi in Ladner! We ordered a little bit from every part of the menu, and I was surprised that everything was so perfectly delicious. I will be trying this place again this week to confirm if it is truly so perfect. The staff were great, and the server was such a beautiful and kind young lady. Will return!

I really like this place. The food is such top quality, and I love bringing friends and family here when in town. I recommend everything on the menu, and I often get the spicy chicken karaage and bibimbap personally. Really friendly family and nice atmosphere. In my opinion, this is the best sushi in Ladner and arguably in all of the Lower Mainland. I'm honestly surprised that anyone has given a bad review, and I would like to ask them if it was the food or if they just had a bad day since my experience is always 5 stars.

Just yuck. As a local, I feel badly writing this review, but since the ownership has changed the quality of sushi has really declined. Everything is SO salty, you definitely don't need soya sauce when eating this sushi. My stomach wasn't feeling well nearly immediately after eating from all of the salt. The only positive of the meal is that wild salmon was automatically used (and not additionally charged).
