Review Stanley Restaurant - Delta

My boss order take out lunch for my birthday at work at this Friday. Overall the food isn’t taste that good from what my coworkers told me but I order BBQ chicken with lemon grass with rice, it taste so juicy and good. I don’t mind to try this restaurant again by myself since this restaurant is close where I lived.

Update Jan 2022: Went with friends for lunch to see if the poor service from hired staff had changed at all. Unfortunately it had not, food is plunked on the corner of the table without any acknowledgement. Nobody came back to check on tea/water refills. Requested the bill and same. Food was ok but the service leaves a bad taste in the mouth and doesn’t warrant a return IMO. Doesn’t seem to affect the local customer loyalty though as it’s been this way for years. Demoting to 1 star. Got take out beef noodle bowl (Phō)- large #6 well done brisket and skirt flank-$10.99. Soup was very hot but not as flavourful as Phō99 which is our go-to, but closed. Comes with generous portion of beef and the usual sprouts, cilanto, lime, basil, jalapeño and hoisin sauce. Hadn’t been for couple years, while the owners are very nice, friendly people, the servers have not always been very attentive (to the point of being rude) in the past. The food has always been quite good though. Located in a strip mall with a variety of businesses and ample parking.

Fantastic! I was greeted with a nice hot cup of tea, Pho was a great consistency, beef three ways was delish. I had the house special, highly recommend!

Best pho in North Delta! Tucked away in the corner of the shopping complex so it can be hard to miss. But once you have had one of these amazing dishes, trust me, you'll never go anywhere else! Food comes quickly and it never dissapoints! Good sized portions for your money too! Whether it's pho, chow mein, or a simple vermicelli bowl, it's all delicious!

Extremely disappointing service :/ I have tried many different meals from this place over the years as I live locally and love pho food. Ill admit that their food is good, a solid 7/10. But they CONSTANTLY get our orders wrong, and the receptionist is one of the most rude and grumpy people I've ever had the displeasure of speaking with. On multiple occasions they have given us the wrong order, and after I called back and told them they issue, they blame it on us. Ill sadly not be supporting them again, which is especially unfortunate because I like their food when they get the orders right.

D A N G E R! There should be a Rating of No Stars. . . Took an order of their "Best Selling #1 Dish" to the office for my wife. . . The broth tasted like the water they would have used to cook the rice noodles! In Fact, that probably had more flavour! The rice noodles were one "Ball of Glue" in the bottom of the bowl. . . the FEW pieces of beef were some "Strange Cut" that looked Very Unappetizing. My First, and ABSOLUTELY LAST visit!

Really fast and courteous service from this longtime neighborhood pho restaurant. They haven't raised their prices as crazy high as some I've seen. And their food is the reason they have lasted so long here in Delta, BC. Delicious and quick to your table.

It’s been a while since our last visit. There seems to have been a change in ownership. The menu prices have increased perhaps due to increased fuel costs, etc. The food was lukewarm and would’ve tasted better hot. We ordered the wonton noodle soup and charbroiled pork brochette with vermicelli noodles. The wonton noodle soup broth and wontons were lukewarm. The broth tasted a bit off/stale. The noodles were clumped together like they weren’t boiled properly. The pork brochette tasted good but the pork was lukewarm. The servers and cashier were very kind and friendly, asking how the food was. Since the food quality isn’t their fault, we didn’t share how we actually felt about the food. This is a family favourite spot and quite popular with the locals, so we hope the food quality can improve.

The pho here is the best I’ve had since being in Vietnam! Their peanut sauce and spring rolls are also great. Not the coziest of places but the food is great.

This is our favourite place for Vietnamese food. We've tried many viet restaurants in metro van but this is the best so far. The pho is very tasty and comforting, spring rolls are not bad, and the servers are quick. We come here almost every week and we're so glad they're nearby!

Can I rate lower than one? Food is mediocre, the place looks unsanitary, and service is horrible. They are rude and impatient. Don't ask them for recommendations or alterations, they will give you the side eye and make you feel like shit. There was a little misunderstanding when they took my order, and when I told them that's not what I ordered they looked really annoyed and insisted everything was my fault. They also refused to remake my food so I had to reorder and pay twice. Also I got food poisoning and ended up sick for the next few days.

Went for dinner, was seated immediately, and the place filled up shortly thereafter. We both ordered pho to our liking, and i ordered salad rolls as well. Rolls came first, were really good, if not just the tiniest bit bland. No complaints though, no msg in the mix. The pho was excellent, just the right touch of heat, until i ate the pepper! 🔥 🔥 🔥

Service was polite and prompt, and they took recognition of regular customers.

The place was clean and will maintained with a TV on all 4 walls.

All in all a great experience. We both agreed to go back there when the craving for pho arises again!

Terrible service! I ordered a large rare beef and flank tendon noodle bowl and, in a couple of minutes, was served. The soup was warm, NOT hot. Later I asked one of the two wandering waitresses for more jalapeño peppers and was promised; till the end of the meal, no jalapeño was served. At the end, I paid with my debit card and waited for at least three minutes before I talked to one waitress. She handed me the terminal and left. I waited at the counter for another couple of minutes and no one helped tear off the transaction slip. I did by myself keeping a customer copy. This is a terrible experience and I will never go back again. Actually it was not busy at all.

The worst service you could get. I can understand the stress of being very busy with customers but even on days when it's been slow, its like a game trying to grab their attention. A 2 minute drive to Pho 99 and you can receive the same quality food from a much nicer staff.

Ordered a bowl of noodle soup with beef and beef balls and a lemongrass chicken platter (our go to orders). The broth wasn't clear, looked like there may have been soy or hoisin added to it beforehand?? The broth was a little bland, needed to add some chilli oil and (more) hoisin sauce. The lemongrass chicken was definately a large portion though, great flavours.

Super good pho, quick service, large menu. It's close by with plenty of seating.

Consistently good; reasonably priced. Punish Subway, Tim Horton's, White Spot, Denny's Ricky's, and all of the chains. Eat here.

Awesome food, huge portions!. I've been to a tonne of Pho restaurants, and growing up all I did was eat my mom's pho she would make every Sunday and this has by far blown my socks off. The food is tremendous, everything is super fresh; you can actually see them bringing in fresh veggies from the farmers market every morning in through the front door. The service could however use a bit of work but the room is probably holding about 100 people and there are only 2 people on the floor at a time so therefore it is somewhat okay since the food is so good. I've eaten almost everything on the menu over the course of a year and it's all been great, avoid the tempura since you are after all at a Pho joint! Highly recommended!

Terrible Service. Half the table finished eating before the rest of the table (20 minutes later) were served theirs meals when order was placed at the same time. All the server would says is maybe next time we do better. Really didn't care about good customer.

The only good thing about delta. I used to live in delta, now I live dt. When I lived in delta everyone I know would go there. I don't know why people keep saying the service is bad, I was there all the time and the girls always knew my order. I love pho Stanley's. I have never found any wonton soup, salad roll, peanut sauce, or spring roll that compares or even comes close to as good. I miss you so much pho Stanley and I'm so sad you are so far away. :'(

Food is only reason i come back.. Food is amazing and never usually takes too long to get it. the servers are rude and have terrible customer service skills. however, they have great food at a great price.

Best Pho. I love this place its right around the corner from my house. They offer large portions and quality meat. The Deep fried wontons are delicious and Spring rolls are so good. Honestly anything you order is good. My only critique is that once I ordered the spring rolls and they were very pink in the inside but I complained and they took them back and cooked them more. Service is not the best but whatever.

Best pho in lower mainland period.

I went a few times and I found the broth really bland and the meat was cut too think to cook in the broth. Quick and cheap but I'll go a bit further to get something I'll actually enjoy

Great quality, price and a lot of homemade sauces. Be prepared for large portions. The grilled pork and shrimp skewers are legendary. My only critique is that 4 big screen TV's were on during dinner time.

I have been going to Pho Stanley for sometime and I love the food. The servers are not the friendliest. I happened to meet a gentlemen at the counter and I asked if he was the owner to say the food was great and to compliment him in his place. The unfriendliest dude ever. Well what can I say borderline body language was he didn't give a rats. When I tried to make conversation. If you are reading this I am the guy who asked you if your name was Stanley and said that i come here all the time.

New Favorite. We love Pho Stanley! The food is very tasty and consistent.

On The Fence. Stopped in here 4 lunch since I happened 2 B in neighborhood plus all the + US reviews/hi-ratings.

The broth was tasty, the salad rolls refreshing however I found the slices of meat "too-thick" especially the fattier flank, briskets - this resulted in having to swallow a large piece of meat (since the thickness + fattier meats were near-impossible to chew into half)

Thinner meat slices would of resulted in much finer PHO-nomenon.

Love the Stanley!. I've eaten here several times over the past 10 years. The food has always been delicious and there's a good variety of dishes. Particular favourites include the spicy noodle soup and the pork and prawn skewers.

Prices are very reasonable as well. While Surrey isn't known for its pho restaurants, I would rank Pho Stanley above many of the pho places in Vancouver and Richmond.

A favourite. A great local place in North Delta. The pho is well prepared and the broth is tasty. More than enough meat and the noodles aren't overcooked. My daughter really liked her salad rolls. Fairly good and friendly service

Little greasy but still tasty. The food is good and the portions are quite large as well, but it can be a little greasy. All in all, it's quite a good place to go for Vietnamese.

Lately I have been craving some Wonton Soup and Salad Rolls so I decided to try Pho Stanley in North Delta and well it was pho good! This is my new favourite Vietnamese restaurant! I decided to get take out so I could babysit my doggie and watch some Dr. Phil. When I arrived around 2pm to pick up my order (which was about 10 minutes) the place was quite busy! I ordered a salad roll and a small wonton soup! Let me first say the wonton soup was massive but I ate it all because it was too good to stop! Salad rolls were de-licious! The salad roll had sliced pork, vermicelli noodles, lettuces, and shrimp this roll was fresh and I really loved the peanut sauce it came with. I could honestly just eat the peanut sauce out of the cup! I liked how on one side of the Salad roll was the pork and on the other side was the shrimp so each bite was delicious and not just noodles or lettuce! Now the wonton soup. This soup was filled with wontons! Usually wonton soup is mostly just broth, but they did not cheap out on wontons! There were about 10 of them and they had so much flavour! The pork was moist, delicious, fresh and had a really nice seasoning. The broth was even tasty, not salty and not oily… just perfect! (This was only half of the Wonton Soup) So as I write this review I am contemplating going back for dinner (yup, that good!) Pho Stanley is located at: 11184 84 Avenue Delta, BC V4C2K4

The highlight though is this monstrosity called the Pork Brochette with spring rolls and salad roll. The pork is perfectly marinated, super tender and it has those nice crispy edges that grilling gives. *DROOL* Salad roll? Shrimp, pork, lettuce and peanut dip - nothing wrong with that! Spring rolls? S-O G-O-O-D.
