Review Speed's Pub - Delta

The place was packed and service was slow because it seemed only two people were working. The menu was limited but the items on it sounded great. Breakfast is served until 3 and wine is sold by the bottle at a reasonable price. Our waitress Queenie was cheerful and friendly. The food was good both in portion and taste. If you are looking for a cozy small town watering hole this is the perfect place. We will be back again!

BEST BURGER IN DELTA PERIOD. TIAH has amazing service!!! Thanks to the kitchen team for making me some garlic mayo!!! TO THE OWNER IT NEEDS TO BE ON THE MENU AND CHARGE FOR IT. Thank you!!!

A lovely pub right on the river with an inviting smaller patio. A great place to relax with a nice bottle of wine and an enjoyable lunch! We didn't want to leave!

Came for their fish & chips and they did not disappoint.

If was -5. I will rated that way. Horrible service right now, I will never go back, they had 3 tables, 1 waitress, 1 bartender. We were there 10 min and no knowledge that we were there. But when we left they say ,thank you. I think thank you for leaving, because they can't handle the crowds. Is very sad see our old bar going down that way.

Great food, fair prices and friendly service. The setting and view is peaceful and beautiful.

Had a great time here with my partner. The service was speedy and efficient the food was delicious! The Ceasar salad in particular was probably one of the best I've ever had. I would definitely come here again. Taking 1 star off because it took a while before we initially got our menus and server.

Disgustingly greasy fries. Tasted like they had been double cooked with only grease left inside a thin shell of potatoes. Burger bun was not fresh and burnt and burger would not stay together on this bun. Once and done for this whole. Oh did I mention they charge you $18 for this trash.

Went for lunch yesterday, been to speedys a few times was never disappointed until yesterday.we will NEVER GO BACK. both my husband and myself ordered the 2 piece halibut and chips. i said to my husband the halibut did not taste right. i said it did not taste like the last time. good reason it didnt , both my husband and i were sick all night and all morning. coming out of both ends we have never ever been this sick. we definitly have  FOOD POISONING. gross nasty and disgusting. i will tell everyone about the horrible food and the service was horrible as well

A cool old style pub in beautiful Ladner.  Right on the water it's a good place to grab some lunch on a sunny day.  Being fishaterian, there is only a few options for me but I like the place.

We love Speeds.  Food is delicious and prices are reasonable.  Great view right on the river.  Unpretentious.  This is where the locals go. Much better than Sharkeys.  The shrimp ceasar salad is great.

My kalamari was the worse I've ever had, I've never seen such tiny squid in my life, overly cooked in an very very old oil, so watch out for that.\<br/>A greek man owns it, he needs to keep oil cleaner too<br/> I hear prime rib dinner is good on sundays , but he only has 2 waitresses taking care of whole pub , and the terrace, so it's missing that relaxed , how are you today from waitresses too

Great Staff and Food. A friend and I recently had lunch at Speeds. This was my first visit to Speeds. The staff our outstanding...friendly, engaging, welcoming. I ordered the Rueben sandwich...OMG! It was one of the very best Ruebens I have ever had!...Great view of the river, lots of parking...very clean and good clientele....I'll be Back

What a nice pub. I went to speeds pub yesterday for lunch and had a wonderful time. I orderd the halibut fish and chips, it was cooked perfectly cooked and crispy. Came with a large portion and a wonderful view of the Mitchell bay and the river. I would recommend this pub to anyone.

I like and I don't like.. I've eaten many times in Speedy's. Yesterday with friends at about 6 PM something, I had the world's WORST HAMBURGER. The meat was tough and small, the bread must have been 2 weeks old , the rest soso. I also had salmon strips, bad , potato fries, hard and bad. The only good things were, my beer, the onion rings and fried dill peppers I bought for the table. I know you were crowded and busy. But what a bad meal for me to pay $33.00 and a $5,00 tip<br/>Please improve so I can come back. Lyn

WHAT YOU SEE IS WHAT YOU GET. Speeds... What can anyone say about a dream? Speed took a long time to get his! This is a true neighbourhood pub. Neighbours, Regulars, New Be's, Boaters, Condo Owners, Fishermen, First Nation, First Daters, Elicit Rendezvous...you get it all. Food is standard Pub Fare... Consistent portions, good basic food. Service goes from 3 to 10 depending on who is working and if they are having a good day! They are the ones who make the difference (Hot Food...Cold Food). You can always see Speed in the shadows, if you have time , talk to him... And say hi! You may get a story... Or not! ;)

Service with attitude. Just came back from dinner at Speeds, decent food, with a hearty helping of disrespect, rudeness and really bad service..This was the case when we went there a few years ago and we stopped going, but gave it another try recently. <br/>The haughty bitchy server sure ruined our experience so we won't be going back, esp when Sharkeys is next door with good food PLUS fun, happy helpful efficient servers. Come on. Nick, you can do better.

Update: I've had to stop going here, as related in other reviews here some of the wait staff are simply miserable. Not sure why, and I've never experienced anything like it before.<br/>To be somehow positive let me suggest that if the wait staff wore name badges it would be infinitely more simple for the owner to get usable feedback.<br/>As it is, I spend my money next door at Sharkey's.<br/><br/><br/><br/><br/>Nice funky local pub,... With a covered outdoor patio right on a arm of the fraser river. Resident cat and swallows.<br/>This place has great pub food specials.<br/>Fries are fresh cut and perfectly cooked.<br/>Our burgers were good. Obviously made on site. <br/>All in all a good food and drink value.

Good fish & chips. I always have the fish & chips. cooked perfect about 90% of the time. If you are fussy and want something with out this or extra that. you have a 50/50 chance of getting what you ordered. Love the home cut fries though.

Located right on the river’s edge opposite Lander Harbour Park and northwest of the Ladner town site, Speed's Neighbourhood Pub has a decent view of some docks and the natural water fowl that populates the area.
