Review Second Cup Coffee Co. Featuring Pinkberry Frozen Yogurt - Dartmouth

This Second Cup location is my favourite. The staff are friendly and welcoming. My coffee order is consistently great. Michelle is lovely to deal with and I was impressed that David remembered my order since I do not visit daily! It’s such a busy location and that attention to detail is especially nice. It’s top notch customer service.

Clean store, cozy environment, clean but crowded washroom and plenty of seating. The staff seemed a little uninterested, but I won’t judge them for that. The blonde girl working there was friendly, though. I said a small iced vanilla bean latte but was rung in for a medium, but I didn’t say anything so that was fine. My friend ordered a chocolate oatcake but received a carrot cake. She also didn’t speak up because she was fine with the carrot cake and didn’t want to bother the employees. The sweets all looked so good it was hard to choose. I didn’t care for my drink, but I’m not much of a coffee girl either so no big deal. The muffins are definitely not as good as they look. It was hard, stale, and had a strange texture and bitter flavor. Overall the experience was fine. Definitely recommend sitting inside for a drink and something sweet.

The best coffee I’ve ever had and their hot chocolates are amazing. They make very good pastries and baked goods, the toffee almond tortes are delicious and by far my favorite. Definitely recommend for your coffee needs or hot chocolate needs! Support Canadian

This is a good that could be great coffee shop. Location is excellent and very clean. The coffee, syrups, milk and other ingredients is top quality. Price is average for a coffee shop. The issue is that the quality of drinks is very inconsistent, and customer service feels more like any fast food place than a premium coffe shop. You never know if you will get the best coffee drink/hot chocolate or the worse watery super hot small drink for 5 dollars +tip. It is best to avoid the drive thru so if drink isnt right you can return it right there and get a new drink and help the barista with training. For the pastries i just havent try them that much to comment, except for the oatcakes those are nothing like they were years ago when they got their pastries from the italian market.

Today the owner of the Portland Street Second Cup tried to kick me out due to my disability Today I went on a coffee date with my girlfriend at the Second Cup on Portland Street in Dartmouth. When I bought my coffee I was asked to show proof of vaccination. For those of you who dont know me I have a brain tumor and autoimmune condition. I lived in hospital for two years and have been in and out for the last 8 years. Due to my autoimmune condition, Mast Cell Activation Syndrome, I am unable to get vaccinations. If I were to get a vaccination I would more than likely die. Because of this I have a vaccine exemption form from my doctor. I was the only person my doctor gave a vaccine exemption form to. I gave the barista my vaccine exemption form and she accepted it and started making my coffee. Then the owner came out and told me that I had to leave and she didn't care if I have an autoimmune condition that she didn't want "people like me" in her business. I called the non emergency police and was told that my vaccine exception is the same thing as a vaccine passport and should be accepted as such. I was instructed to call corporate and report her. I am honestly shocked and disgusted that people with a disability are being discriminated against in our beautiful community. This is the only business that has treated me this way especially after spending over $30 on coffee and cakes. I am a huge advocate for those with disabilities. I was recently a panelist at The Disability and Work Canada convention and have fought for disability rights in Canada for years. This should not be tolerated in a place as welcoming and supportive as Nova Scotia. We need to educate the public and insure that this doesn't happen to other disabled people. It's heartbreaking and embarrassing to be kicked out of a business due to a disability that is not my fault. No one wants to be sick and no one should be discriminated against because of their health.

Twice now I’ve ordered a specific tea iced and they have handed me a steeped iced tea, stale from sitting there all day. One time is a mistake, twice is laziness. Small selection of baked goods too compared to the other locations. Disappointing
