Review Habaneros Modern Taco Bar (burnside) - Dartmouth

The food was amazing, hot and delicious. The wait wasn't that long despite it being lunch rush hour. They didn't give me a bag even though I got takeout and it was a little loud in there so the staff was hard to hear, but otherwise pleasant!

By far the best habaneros location. Staff are friendly and efficient. Wait times are minimal. I usually get burrito bowls and have never been unsatisfied or displeased with my food or the service. Highly recommend the burrito bowls.

Love their burritos here! I get the vegan Bombay curry one. The largest size burrito is gigantic!! Not for the faint of heart. I especially like the ginger carrots and pickled onions inside. Lots of vegan options for toppings. This habaneros is located in the same location as a Cheese Curds restaurant.

The two young men who helped me were very friendly and professional. They built my chicken bowl exactly as I asked them too. I'll be back.

Had the 3 taco special and they were quite good really. Toppings are plentiful and as much as you want. Tried both chicken and beef...no fish available. Wouldn't order the beef again, but enjoyed their chicken offering.

We actually ate at cheese curds in this place. We were very disappointed and we did let them know. We had burgers and poutine. Everything was so salty it was actually hard to eat. The prices are ridiculous as well. $37.00 for lunch, for two people? And that's without a tip. And those were combos. No thanks... Will not frequent this place, sorry.

Been to most of the Habaneros locations in Halifax over the last several years and some days I really like it, other times find it just 'so so' but overall much better than not. Today I specifically am only going to mention their 2019 #taco week item: the 'extreme cheesy BBQ chicken' taco (2 for $10 'chef inspired bbq chicken, melted cheese between a hard and soft taco shell, lettuce, pico de gallo, cilantro, chipotle sour cream). It was only my 2nd taco of the week, but must comment that it hit the spot in flavor and texture. Simple, yet the bbq sauce was just right for a teensy bit of spice, not too messy, juicy, etc. I will assume this is not a regular on their menu, but it should be! Also, very friendly dude working when I arrived at about 4:30 last night who seemed happy to be there. The place was empty literally so I ate in and left very satisfied.

I love habaneros. My husband loves burgers. Conveniently for us there are both available in the same building. (Cheese curds burgers is right next-almost food court style) I love the burritos, big, filling, so customizable-meats, beans, cheeses, veggies, salsas, rice.... I’m getting hungry just writing this review.

Ordering was fast and easy. I wish there was an option for extra rice as a large bowel could fix a 3rd scoop. I only saw extras for meat and toppings.
