Review Montana's - Dartmouth

This particular restaurant is better than its neighbours. The waiter was friendly. And as usual the food is pretty good for a chain restaurant. There are better bbq options in the region, but this is a good place if you're looking for something you're consistently familiar with.

Food was great! I loved the burrito bowl and their ribs and wings combo is a winner. Meat was tender unlike in other branches of Montanas so this one in Dartmouth has a good way of preparing the food. They nailed the ribs! The steak we ordered doesn't seem to be perfect, a bit over well-done (we wanted medium-well). The burgers are good too, nothing special but taste good. Not so impressed with the waitress/server, not friendly and nice as the girl in the reception. The restaurant was not busy when we're there so I don't know why she (server) act like that but I guess she's having a day or something. We enjoyed the food though.

Steak was not something special, but the ambiance is really good. The staffs were very friendly. Good place to hangout with friends.

Love the cornbread, buttermilk fried chicken, bacon cheeseburger, burrito bowl and ribs (if you like a bulls eye type sauce). Mac and cheese was not great

My parents and aunt ate at Montana’s Dartmouth Crossing for my parents’ recent 54th anniversary. While they were there, I was able to phone from BC and arrange for a special dessert to be brought to their table, complete with fanfare and singing. We even coordinated it so my siblings and I could call with my parents when it was delivered. This was all a complete surprise to my parents. The staff were friendly, creative, and beyond helpful in accommodating this short-notice request. My parents’ overall dining experience was excellent.

Had a great meal with the family. Brisket burger was great, the pull-apart bread appetizer was so phenomenal we ordered a 2nd. Server was on point. The place was busy, but not packed, food came out without much wait. The only thing I can't comment on is the dessert menu, as we were all too stuffed after finishing our meals. Highly recommend this spot.

Great ambiance and our server Kelsey was amazing and extremely attentive; and knowledgeable of menu. Veggie burger was phenomenal ( only given 4 stars, because I am a true lover of my husband’s homemade burgers)! Food was delicious. Hoping to be back again soon.

The food here is great, I’ve never had a bad experience, the staff is amazingly friendly. Always so welcoming and eager to help with anything and super accommodating as well if you have allergies/dietary needs (the best they can). I definitely recommend this location, even if for just the friendliness of the staff.

Went before a movie...the perogies were raw and the burger burnt.  slow service - cannot even get the bill right.  Avoid this place like the plague...that may be what you get after you eat their raw food.

They serve about the best burgers I've had in this region so far and it's conveniently right next to the cinema- so you park once and your good to go.

Long wait good food. Took about an hour and a half from the time I arrived until the time I left. I was there alone. They ended up giving me 10% of my bill. The waiter was great, just seems like the kitchen staff is lacking maybe. My meal was good, the dessert was delicious but too big for one person (I had the cheesecake).

Extremely Slow. My sister and I went around 7:00 on a Wednesday night. It wasn't busy at all, but we waited 45 minutes for our food. My sister's chicken burger tasted like fish and the skin was slightly burnt. The highlight were the Shake and Share donuts, which were delicious; however, there are enough restaurants in Dartmouth Crossing that I don't think we will be back to Montana's

Overcharged. 4 of us Went to Montana's on a Friday at 6:30,Busy but not real,Placed our order after waiting 20 minutes.20 minutes later waitress comes back to say out of one item ordered and so reordered.25 minutes later she comes back to say they were out of potato skins for appetizer.She suggested something else as will be complementary .when we finally got our bill (which put us late )I payed it and left.The next day Looked at the receipt to find I had paid for what we got + the potato skins + the item we ordered and they were out of + the comp. appetizer...When I emailed to complain I was reimbursed what I was owed with a gift card of that amount and a note asking me to have a meal on them with the money they owed me.I will only only be going back to get my money's owed.

Poor Service. Went to Montana's about a month ago. Waited 45 minutes for our meal. Waitress was very unpleasant. She never came back until we were done and that was with our bill. Chalked that up to maybe it was a busy night. We went again last Saturday afternoon. Restaurant was empty. Same thing. I timed it - we waited 35 minutes for a steak standwich. Waitress had a terrible attitude and didn't come back until it was time to pay. Needless to say, both times I did not leave a tip. I have no intention on going back to Montana's. My next restaurant will be one with a warm atmosphere and a waitress that is happy to serve me.

Last Time. We visited Montana's soon after it opened and the service and food were not good to say the least. We decided to give it another chance the day before, thinking they had time to get their feet under them by now. Although the service this time was much better, the food was not - the steak in my sandwich had such a tough, thick rind on it, I had to take it out of the bread to saw it off as I couldn't eat the sandwich otherwise, the fries were hard all the way through, and the salad had seen better days. We could have had a more enjoyable meal at a burger joint. At least we wouldn't have been still hungry.

NEVER. My husband took my daughter and I to Montanas in Dartmouth Crossing last week. It was not busy at all, so we were happy in thinking we would be out in a timely fashion. BOY we were wrong. We waited for over 30 minutes before I stopped someone (who was less than cordial) asking for our waitress. She was nice, except after she took our order we never saw her again until it was time to pay. The food was good, although the portions were incredibly small compared to previous meals we had there. That is the last time we will ever venture into Montanas. We left feeling still hungry and like we had been an inconvenience to them.

I have eaten Chicken Pennes and it was very good !

Stopped here for supper after a movie at 7pm on a Sunday. Took 45 minutes to come back with the wrong order. The all you can eat ribs are tasty but they will absolutely NOT come back to your table to see if you want more. It was obvious that other patrons were unhappy as well and got poor service. I will not be returning and hope this saves you from experiencing what we did.

Takes forever!. We've been there 3 times and will never go again. The service is terrible - it's soooo slow. One time, there were 6 of us and we waited well over an hour for our food. Even had to wait about 1/2 hour for drinks! Never again.
