Review Evans Fresh Seafoods And Restaurant - Dartmouth

Fantastic experience. The staff were friendly and helpful. The fries were great with malt vinegar. The fish was amazing. Fried but not at all greasy. Lightly battered. Fresh. Probably some of the best fish in chips I've ever had in my lifetime. Would definitely recommend. đź‘Ť

I thoroughly enjoyed my first experience there a few years ago and this was the first chance to go in a couple of years due to the pandemic. The ferry ride from Halifax along with their delicious food makes for a great combo. The lightly battered fried scallops were fantastic as were the fried clams. I also loved the seafood chowder. I cannot recommend this place enough. My only regret is that I didn't have enough time to try everything. The prices are also cheap, if you're used to NYC prices like I am.

Located in the ferry terminal building. Indoor and outdoor seating. The cashier was helpful answering questions. The food was prepared fresh and served to our table. Everything was well done, clean and energetic service. My trout burger was enjoyable. The bread light and fresh. I squeezed a little fresh lemon on it to increase the sour. My husband liked his halibut taco better as he tasted my trout.

A must!! The scallop sandwich and fries were perfection. My husband ordered the scallops and they were unbelievable. My children ate the fish and chips and said it was top notch. We also ordered the seafood platter to go and it was delicious. We will come back next time my family travels to nova scotia.

We had fried clams overlooking the harbour and it couldn't of been better. They were cooked perfectly and were a good size. It's a small market place with a great seafood menu. Great service too. We will be back. We returned again and had some more clams, a lobster roll, scallops and fish. Everything was fresh tasted great and good portions. One of the best pieces of fish I've had. The tartar sauce is fantastic as well.

So. Delicious. If you’re visiting Halifax and you want to try some of the best seafood you’ve ever had, this is the place to go. Their seafood chowder alone makes me wish I lived here!

Super fresh seafood, and the raw seafood is actually available for sale. We tried Fish & Chips, Lobster Roll & Scallop and all was delicious. Even the Fries and Garden Salad were super tasty! There was a patio to sit outside. The staff were really kind and helpful. If you are in town, this place at Dartmouth Terminal can be a good combination with Ferry ride from Halifax.

Tried their lobster roll, seafood chowder and fresh oysters. All were very delicious! Good amount of seafood in the soup. Even though it wasn't lobster season, the lobster roll was still very fresh, not fishy at all. I also really liked the toasted bun for the lobster roll. Would definitely recommend.
