Amazing amazing amazing this is real diner! Food and service and price everything was perfect! Mmm even if i dont like coconut, the coconut cream pie tastes really good too! Fish was fresh, sauce was tasty, salad is amazing. I Will visit here again and tell to all my friends for sure. Thank you!!!!

Friendly efficient service. Generous portions. My favourite clams and scallops. I found it was enough for me to have a good lunch and more than enough to take home for a treat for my husband. I ordered without fries. Our waitress, Lynn, was friendly and attentive.

Stopped by on a road trip, great food for a great price and quantity! The grilled haddock, and shrimp and chips tasted amazing. Everyone was friendly and nice to explain the menu options to us

Stopped in here for a quick bite after visiting the Dartmouth General Hospital. Tommy checked me in at the door very quickly checking my Covid ID/vaccination record. ordered from Nikki (she is a pro) a two piece fish and chips and an ice cold Budweiser with a frozen mug, it was absolutely rockstar, Nice coleslaw really good tartar sauce the fish was awesome done perfect the chips were nice and salty very comforting #Thankyou follow me on social media @SubaruBOY 🤙🏼🇨🇦🎟

Was told this was the place to go if we were looking for excellent seafood….we were told the truth! This place was awesome, the food was amazing and the plate was overflowing; the service was extraordinary and the atmosphere was friendly and family oriented! The owner spent some time with our party telling us his background and making us feel like family. I would give this place 6 stars it was so great. Next time I am in Halifax I will definitely make a trip to Dartmouth to enjoy a meal with the Pleasant Street Diner crew! Bravo team!

I was searching for a feed of deep fried clams and fries, on my recent trip home, for the first time in 5 years, and on the last day we did a Google search and found this place. I was astounded at the amount of clams that where in the order, and they were absolutely delicious! There were actually more clams than fries! I took the picture on the right, after I had eaten about a third of them, and removed the fries! Definitely recommend you get your Maritime clam fix here!

The Pleasant Street Diner has great food for good prices. Everything is made from scratch and they give you so much food that you always have something to take home with you. The last time I was there I had the rice pudding which was delicious and they also have a very nice chocolate cake for dessert. The owners are always friendly and generally stop by the table to chat with you. The restaurant is usually very busy so if you are coming as a big group you better get a reservation.

The seafood chowder is delicious. We got the 'cup' size (<10$) and the serving was plenty. The seafood is perfect and there is so much of it! Delicious, and we were served literally 2 mins after ordering. Service is great too. We will be back!

they welcome you like family, food is A1, service is A1, atmosphere spacious, clean. Over all, one of the best, if not the best place to eat

Our family went there for supper today , it was delicious. Very busy place with a bit of a wait, but it was worth it . Will be back for sure .

Wow! My husband, neighbour and I went for supper at the Pleasant Street Diner Last night. It was packed. We had a short weight, great service, food came fast was delicious and we couldn't resist taking desert home (we were too full to eat desert right away but couldn't resist Real Custard Base Coconut Cream Pie!). My neighbour and I had one piece fish and chips, crunchy, not greasy, light and fresh fish. Home made fries, real potatoes. My husbands burger was very good - hamburger patty made on the spot, like it should be. We all liked our coleslaw, pickley goodness. I wish I had more than two thumbs but... My supper mates said I could borrow theirs for this review - SIX thumbs UP!

All I can is excellent. A very busy restaurant and Mother got her booth, loved her birthday fish and chips, doggy bag to take home and especially atmosphere. Our wait staff, in particular, was lovely and very accommodating, thus large tip! As a matter of fact, we’ll be back for my breakfast birthday in March. See you soon!

If you want a great meal at a great price, or just a delicious dessert with fabulous hot coffee this is the place to go. Relaxing and family friendly.

The name of the restaurant tells it all. It's has a very pleasant atmosphere and the food is delicious Nothing bad to say about this place . Staff , service and food is A One.👍I came home to Halifax from Toronto. This is one of the Food places that is a must to visit during my stay

This morning my husband and I enjoyed a very tasteful breakfast here. A big thank you to our waitress Demi for accommodating my special request.I love PLD so much that I suggested that after shopping for a new recliner for our mother that my sister and I treat her for lunch here. Again the food was awesome and our waitress Danielle was very lovely. The entire staff make you feel so welcome, almost like you are part of their family. Thank you all.

Had my birthday supper there last night.. 15 of us! They all went above and beyond to accommodate us! Tommy is so kind and funny and our waitress was amazing. Food came out fast and fresh. Have been there many times and will continue to go back �

While visiting home [Halifax] from Alberta we have always made a point to stop into John's Lunch. We were told by some family members to go see this new place that will remind you of the old John's lunch. We had a great lunch of the classic clam strips that we have missed for about 2 and a half years! This place has an updated mom and pop shoppe feel but definitely has had a face-lift with the new digs! We will be back next time we are in Halifax!

Loved it! Staff was friendly and efficient. It’s clean and so ‘old school’...I loved it. Love that the kitchen is so open. And the food was delicious. I had the pan fried haddock with mashed potatoes and veggies. It was all good but the fish was amazing. And their homemade tartar sauce is great. Definitely be going back there!

I had the cheeseburger deluxe and my husband had haddock tips, clams and fries! As always everything was delicious!! Fastest time so far that our food has come, I think it was only about 5 minutes from us ordering until we had our food in front of us! Keep up the great work!! ��

My husband & I checked out Pleasant Street Diner last Tuesday at noon. WOW it was very busy but we were seated in 10 minutes or less & the food was WOW. The scallops melted in my mouth ...cooked to absolute perfection. I'm going back & suggest you do too. It's not super fancy just clean, friendly staffed with delicious food !!!!
