Letting this cat outta the bag is gonna shoot me in the foot but here goes. If you haven't tried the little variety of frozen pizzas this place stashes in the freezers for a mere pittance of $5.99 each, you have NOT lived. These little slabs of heaven must be rustled up in their high end deli because your taste buds are gonna do the gratitude dance when you try it.
My only complaint is that they let that pizza rack get empty for far too long sometimes.
Such a lovely little classic Cowichan farm to table entity. Support them.
Nice produce, lots of well priced items including meat selections, great variety of quality and gourmet foods, baked goods galore, really tasty mac & cheese, ice cream. Good natured staff who listen and help. Country setting. Clean. Fresh. It's a real find for me.
I must stop on the way up island! Pick up what you need on the way.

I think Great Greens Is just what this community needs. I have been in the grocery industry a very long time and I found the prices very competitive and better in some cases! It has a great atmosphere. I definitely will shop there.
Such a great market, I usually go fairly regularly & the staff is friendly & helpful. The deli salads are great, the produce is good and they have a good selection of other items. It's really nice sitting outside in the summer!

Great place. Good selection. Tasty quiche. āReal men donāt eat quicheā I read. Stuff that, this one is tasty. Coffee station is a nice touch.
Great prices are on produce. Meats, cheeses, and drys are a bit more pricey than average, but definitely higher quality.
Good array of produce through meat and staples. I like the atmosphere and friendly staff.

A great local market! That hasn't changed! With a few more shopping trips into the market I've changed my rating from 4 to 5 stars. The staff are courteous, knowledgable and service oriented. Management is top notch and on the pulse of the community. The stores' product line is packed with unique quality items not found elsewhere plus your basic staple market items. Fruits and veggies are well stocked, fresh, locally grown and sourced. Fresh local meats and marinated meals to make at home are available PLUS a FANTASTIC selection of in-house made sandwiches and to go meals ready to gobble up. Not to mention the in house baking--really outstanding. Need a quick treat? Check out their Temptation Island filled with a grand selection of packed up goody bags and snacks. There is also a wonderful selection of organic and allergy sensitive grocery items as well. Spices, dried fruits, nuts and chocolates from around the world abound. This where east meets west and nothing but the best! Truly a gem in the Cowichan Valley!
Love this place. They have really good grab and go lunch items, a coffee shop that seems to be open most times these days, and a wide variety of produce and local meats. I stop in here everytime I go by.
