The food is alway fresh, the service is always great, the portions are big. Their quality never waivers. It's a quiet little place and our favourite Pho sure.
I like this place. Good food and they let me do a custom order “pho with beef ball and grilled pork” (reminds me of bun cha Hanoi). They’re fast and friendly and kitchen is very clean.
I've been going to Pho Holiday for about a year now, and I've have good service and above average food every visit, they even know who i am now and know my order off by heart. Only one time i can recall that i had a less than satisfactory experience, but 1 out of i'd say 50 times this year, I cannot complain. Very nice people, The restaurant is always clean, but that's just my two cents.
Great service. They had me seated and served within 5 minutes. I was in and out of the restaurant in 15 minutes total. When I told them I was in a hurry, the server hustled. Great service. Great pho but the prices seem comparable to Vancouver prices. Not sure why Coquitlam seems just as expensive as Vancouver. I did like the Pho - plenty of meat, tasty broth and I took my left over home.
Great food, clean business and incredibly friendly staff and owner. The pho is delicious and full of wonderful flavors. I will definitely be going back there.
Nice Surprise. I had the Hot & Sour seafood Pho and it was great. Normally I`m reaching for the Hoisin and Sriracha sauce to add some flavour to Pho as most places frankly don't make great Pho no need for the extra sauces at Pho Holiday. The Hot and Sour had enough heat kick to get me sniffling and just enough citrus sour to give a nice tang.
I had a small bowl and it filled me nicely so I didn't get to try other menu items. The other reviews give the broth high praise so I can hardly wait to try some meat pho.
If Pho Holiday was in Vancouver it would be packed as most of the Pho places are mediocre. I hope word of mouth keeps this place going ...I know I`ll be back and recommending it to others.
The lady who served me was very polite and friendly and the restaurant seemed clean.
Outstanding food service and value. It's the best restaurant of its kind in the area. In fact it's the best eatery in the area. Casual and inexpensive .
This place is awesome. There is nothing pretentious here . It is tucked away in a corner of a strip mall. The people, running it are friendly and warm spirited. I have tried several items now and they have all been excellent. The beef stew is a simple dish but often many places over salt or,use cheap ingredients. Here it was absolutely perfect. There was a subtlety to the flavor .it was very complex and not overpowering. The beef was perfect in texture and taste. Even the carrots were perfect. It was the best Vietnamese beef stew I've ever had hands down. The bun it comes with was also perfect, crisp on the surface but light inside . It complemented the stew perfectly. The spring rolls are crisp and crunchy with a really nice flavored filling. Again quality all the way around. Everything was extremely fresh. In fact the salad rolls were made so fresh and again perfect. The pork slices with egg and broken rice dish was again the best I've tried. The pork slices quality with minimal fat and melt in your mouth tender, ban with chicken or pork also really really good. This place is new but the quality of the food obviously reflects a love for making people happy, the people as I say are very warm and friendly. There is no other place in the area that comes close to the quality and value offered here. This is my favorite new place and I really love everything about it. No pretense here just good real food . So happy they are there
Holiday's House Special Pho. Deep and complex broth with a perfect portion of meats and noodles.
I have returned to Holiday Pho after a few months of being away and I am pleased to say they are still serving delicious soups that are freshly prepared.
The first thing I look for when I enter a pho joint is to see if they have massive pots of stock in the kitchen- Pho Holiday does.
Each dish served to our party was brought out piping hot and beautifully presented with good care for details.
The other people wouldn't let me taste their food but they all told me their dishes were better than satisfactory.
Although I only had a bite of the spring roll I found it to be pleasantly dense and meaty. My bowl of pho was the perfect antidote to a stressful day.
Highly recommended and I will definitely be returning to eat here again.
Driving along Austin Ave in the Austin Heights area of Coquitlam the other day, I spotted a new pho joint. Even though it was a warm and sunny day and I had enjoyed a pretty positive day at the day job, I decided to stop in and try Pho Holiday. **I apologize for the poorly focused photos. I must have spilled a drop of pho on the lens of my camera phone. Pho Holiday I will be right up front and easy about this – Pho Holiday makes excellent pho. Their broth has the deep and complex flavours that speak to the massive pots of bones and veggies they have boiling away in the kitchen. This is the real deal, no cheap powdered stock mix here. Stock Pot I ordered the Holiday’s House Special Pho which comes with rare beef, brisket, fatty brisket, tendon, tripe and a beef ball. All the meats were lovely although the thinly sliced brisket was a little clumped up in the soup, with a little chopstick manipulation the bundle o
I had the small Pho Holiday special which included a bit of everything – rare beef, brisket, fatty brisket, tendon, tripe and beef ball. The pho noodles were smooth and the right amount of chewiness. I wish there was a whole beef ball, but I had maybe a quarter. The meats were a great variety and fresh. The best was thing was the broth IMO. It was sweet to taste. The small size was decent and I was full, sometimes I wouldn’t be full from just ordering a small bowl. Spring Rolls We shared two orders of spring rolls. It was crispy on the out and soft on the inside. The fish sauce was light and sweet, complimented the spring roll very well.
