I recently ordered a cake for my husband's 37th birthday at Cakes n Sweets and I asked Shiela if I can get a design with the FC Barcelona logo since my husband is a huge Messi fan. Shiela has exceeded my expectation!!! My husband was so amazed with the design that he kept bragging about his cake at everyone in the party. Not only it is gorgeous outside but the filling was so delicious- ube macapuno!!! Everyone thought it was the best flavor they've ever tasted. If you are planning to order a custom cake, order it at Cakes n Sweets. You will definitely get your money's worth!

This is a hidden gem in the tri-cities! The desserts are amazing, the high tea is just like one you could get at a fancy place downtown but with a fraction of the cost! The space is lovely, with very Parisian-esque decor. The best part of this place is definitely their custom cakes. I’ve gotten many cakes done here for special events. My son was so happy when they made a perfect Paw-Patrol cake for his birthday!! One of the cake artists, I forget her name (very tall and brunette) is a true artist. Her cakes have won competitions! I’m making sure to get my upcoming wedding cake done here as well. You will not regret ordering from here! The owner is such a genuine and kind woman, and you always get 100% friendly and attentive customer service.
great bakery! love the icing on the cakes. high tea is outstanding, plenty of food and a lovely selection. the eclectic collection of tea cups is so much fun!
I love this bakery. I have had many beautiful tasty cakes from here and the quality is outstanding. The decorator/designer is definitely a candidate for one of those cake decorating competition shows.
If you are in Coquitlam this is the best place for afternoon tea. The sandwiches are delicious, the scones perfection (the fresh jam and cream for them!!!) and the macarons are amazing.

We sure found a hidden gem! For $20 a person, high tea at Cakes N Sweets is a steal. I'm not sure why someone complained about the portions but my friend and I were very happy with the portions that we got. The buttery scones and sandwiches were much larger than what we'd get at the Hotel Vancouver. Everything was very delicate and appetizing. The ladies working there were super nice and chatted with us. We really enjoyed our afternoon high tea at Cakes N Sweets.
Loved this bakery!!!! It's cheap and the cupcakes and macaroons are soooo good😀👌🏼👍🏼 every time my friends and go for High Tea we come home with lots of left over. I would definitely recommend it.
I have been going to Cakes & Sweets since it opened and have always been very happy with the personal service as well as the quality and taste of the various dishes and deserts. I have a special affinity for the tiramisu, cheesecakes and chocolate bombs.I have also been amazed by the sheer brilliance of the cake designs this custom shop produces which I am sure would win them countless awards. Basically if you can dream up a cake design they can make it happen.
Cakes N Sweets is a hidden gem in the tri-cities area. I have been in repeatedly, and I have never been disappointed with the sweets OR service. They offer a great variety of sweet treats from cookies to macarons, cheese cake to chocolate bombes and so much more. Their fondant cakes are out of this world gorgeous, I have already consulted with them to do my Daughters wedding cake. I have had the high tea a few times, and it is exactly what I expect from a high tea, right down to little pots of devonshire cream to go with the most amazing and fresh scones I have EVER had. The prices are very fair, and parking is very accessable and FREE.
The customer service is warm and friendly, and the ambience is utterly charming

For $20 per person, afternoon tea at Cakes n Sweets is a steal! There was a generous serving of everything and all items were done well. When I went with Mama Lam the first time, we actually couldn’t finish everything and had to pack some scones and sandwiches home. Overall, food is great here and service is friendly. They also do custom cakes (like our wedding cake) and you should check out its Instagram. It’s such a hidden gem in Coquitlam and I would love for more people to know about them!

Food portions and selections were good and the tea was surprisingly good too.
only wished they used a fancier teapot.
